Welcome to hell-a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A. Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out-even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today’s do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. This trailer brought me more entertainment than the entirety of the last Suicide Squad movie.
Well WB executives are bunch of idiots who believe they know how to direct better than professional directors, here's a product of what happens if they keep their hands off a project, James Gunn doing what he does the best.
Because the studio butchered the movie just like they did with some more DC films.
This is why I love Viola as Waller. She gives the same vibes with the comic book version.

Just got back from seeing it and let’s just say he lives up to its name of the best DCEU movie ever

That already implies, though, that a lot of time has passed between JL(whichever version you prefer) and this for Kryptonite to now be known weakness of Superman and for bullets to be made.

This is one of the most epic trailers I’ve seen, so much better than the original
I didn't watch the trailers at all, besides the character introduction when the film was first mentioned. Going into it blind, I absolutely loved it. Good humor, surprisingly great action (Seriously, didn't expect anything like it even for it being Rated R) And for me personally (in my opinion) As far as good DC movies go into today's day and age, we know the DC universe has been a bit all over the place - BUT... this is sat directly next to Joker in my book. It is a reboot film, and a reboot film done RIGHT at that. Definitely worth checking out. They gotta keep momentum like this. More DC films like this and Joker and I think the DC universe can be molded into something solid and not scattered.

@@cookiesupervisor2211 I don't rate movies 10/10 no movie is perfect to the point where there is no problems. 7/10 is a pretty good movie that I would watch again. 5/10 is a "meh" movie. Anything below that is bad and then terrible. The most I've rated a movie is 9/10 and I watch that movie alot.

That's not really how that works. Way before marvel and DC movies were popularized, directors made movies for competition studios (and tag lines have always said "from the director behind X competition studio's movie"). It doesn't really matter. People liked X movie and thought it was good, so tell people that the person behind it is also making Y movie.

Seldom is the sequel better than the original. I think this is one of those times.
I like how Rick Flag scolds Kingshark like a parent to a child, "Nanaue! Stay off the comms!" No Kingshark, no codenames, just straight out using his real name.
I'm hoping he works on the n52 rules that he gets smarter the wetter he is so that he starts all dumb and they find out that he's actually a genius but Waller has been keeping him dry so he can't remember how much time he's got left on his sentence. I mean n52 Suicide Squad was hit and miss but when that twist hits you midway through volume 1 you're like "damn... that is cold" and that's before its revealed that that isn't even the real Waller that's her granddaughter on work experience. The real Waller is even nastier.

This looks like what the first film was supposed to be, Bloodsport even having the same family drama as Deadshot.
And it looks like they’re giving James Gunn creative freedom. You know. What David Ayer should have gotten. Though given his track record aside from Training Day and End of Watch, is it really worth it?

@@supermariofan03 That's the issue, when they snagged a deal with Gunn after Marvel firing him, they knew they had to give Gunn everything he needed - full creative freedom probably came with it. The senior producers at Warner Bros aren't / weren't letting directors have freedom in their craft.

They're sitting on another go for 5 years now. Ayer's movie is finished but we're not allowed to see it cause WB are too embarrassed to show it.
Its tragic that this film is so much better than the first one but it was a box office bomb whereas the first one was a massive hit. Its all about the dollars at the end of the day
