Freakin awesome I grew up on the farm in south texas putting around on one of these. Made my mother promise never to sell it because I plan on restoring it someday.
Your rake can be used to spread cattle or chicken manure in your garden also. I also use mine to push up the piles of dead leaves and grass, which I sweep up using my lawn tractor and lawn sweeper.
This is exactly how I want to set up me and my sons IH CC 1650. Its a 1977 that we have owned for two years now and have slowly been rebuilding it back to new while using it to pay for its own rebuild. I just put on one of your carburetors you sell a week ago along with a used governor linkage from the gov shaft out of the engine to the short gov rod to the carb linkage on the new carb. The holes on both ends of the governor spring are really wallowed out..I still need to find the other end closer to the driver where the other end of the new governor spring I put on hooks too...My oem carb I am still going to rebuild..Just the throttle linkage where the ball is at the top. the "rivet"? I guess you could call it separated so I was getting no power as you can imagine. Oh yeah, its running like new again..what a powerhouse those K341 engines are even in stock condition. I put a new piston and have new valves done for it at a local machine shop two years ago...I got this tractor for free! I also rebuilt the "trunion" I believe they call it...I machined my own piece of steel and welded it on over the old piece with new springs and ends...Still got to replace the friction disc in the hydro lever though..I do have the new part...hahaha..Its been a ground up rebuild but has been allot of fun for us..New used steering unit along with all new tie rod ends and wheel bearings and gauges too...Yeah I'm getting up to over 1200 invested so far,,but worth it...If someone can find a 1200 lawn mower that can even try to compete with this thing I would be amazed...plowed us out of a blizzard just last weekend with ease...over 20" of snow! Just filled tires and chains...The neighbor is tempting me with his JD 318 with an Onan engine that needs rebuilt also...Once you start doing this it becomes very addicting..I used to build motorcycles but in my older age it is now tractors...I did allot of work with Ford GT tractors also like in your video...more rare to find it seems. We also have a mid sized "farm" tractor that works great...It's an 86 or 87 Ford 3910 with FEL and stone rake..What a tough made tractor that thing is being a 50hp diesel in a mid sized tractor....Thanks for the vids and parts and inspiration.
Thanks for your comment! I am glad our carburetor is working great for you! Yes these old small tractors are worth the time, work, and money to get them back to great condition. The nearest equivalent nowadays to these old small tractors are the Kubota BX series and Simplicity Legacy XL which are both $10,000+ tractors!
Yeah my son has me stop to look at those Kubota tractors all the time...until I see the price tag! I would have to get one in the L series at least to be worth all the $$$..I had thought about it...Selling our 3910 and other attachments etc...but in the end I am fine with what we have...The 3910 although not 4wd weighs so much more than a Kubota and has tons of bottom end torque compared to these new diesel engines. We have just over 200 acres and the Ford still gets it done...The 1650 we use for everything it seems...Even use it during deer season to bring any deer taken back home...Then use it to pull them up to butcher them..I would be lost without our Cub...I do own one modern JD and to be truthful...it was a waste of money...Sure it mows good but that is about it..Not even in the same ballpark as the old IH Cubs and many other old Garden Tractors.
+isavetractors I subscribed, and will follow as I am a Ford tractor fanatic and crazy about them, please check my channel jan kotze with my turf master, I am not so active but I do post from time to time

+bobbyd218 I used landscape tines from Agri-supply.com and some steel from my local supplier for the rake. I will make a video someday if I build another one. Thanks for watching!
I hope you can reply to this Norman . I have a 60's Ford 120 hydro and was told the hydro uses transmission fluid is this what i use ? I want to change fluid and filter Please let me know Thank you
+The gamer Hi There, You want to check 3 things. Fuel, Spark and COmpression. Start with the easiest. Make sure your fuel system is on and fuel is going to your carb. Next check for spark. If you don't have fuel or spark correct those issues first.
