My hometown Kharkov was shelled for many months from Russia. But the city was constantly cleaned and put in order. Ukrainians love their houses very much.
During the blackout, I cleaned my apartment with a Christmas garland on a power bank in one hand and a broom in the other. Because blackout or not, the apartment must be clean)))

Last year in March, when Russian troops were still trying to capture Kyiv, utilities were working 24/7. We are sitting in the corridor during the air siren, Russians are firing artillery on the outskirts of the capital. There was some kind of rumble under our windows, we were afraid that a rocket had come not far. And it was a garbage truck at 12 o'clock at night, the containers are emptied. 12 at night, siren, rockets fire, but garbage, damn it, must be taken out. It's crazy. I love my city ❤
I still see this happen quite a lot 😂 Trash is being taken, no matter if it's air-raid sirens or it's after midnight. On one memorable occasion, about a month ago or so, missiles were flying above and we heard a few explosions - people manning the truck payed no attention to that and carried on, driving towards the sound afterwards just `cause their next location was there. Love my city. 💙💛
I agree, I observed the same when almost all the highways in Kyiv were under occupation, every day there was a rumble of explosions but of course there was a rumble of rubbish being collected).
I was born not in Kyiv, but for the last few years i have been living in Kyiv, i can say that if i have a “piece of paper” in my hands, i will never throw it on the road, only in the trash, even if it has to be carried for several blocks

Hey D just a fun fact here, that beautiful looking church was build in 1050, its a whole complex of churches and libraries, also this was filmed four months into the war.

Most likely the video was filmed during the war So, for example, at 3:46 or 4:54 you can see the anti-tank spikes that have been removed from the roadway. I hope forever. By the way, the house you see at 8:08 is the first residential building in Kyiv that was hit by a russian missile on 02/26/22 Here are the footage: ua-cam.com/video/-pj-D9PDYWA/v-deo.html At the moment, this house has been completely restored.
Hello from Kyiv, it is very nice to hear such reviews❤I have lived here for a long time, but still, every time I go somewhere, I see something new and beautiful. And regarding cleanliness, this is a thank you to the cleaners, because when the street is clean, you don't want to disrespect someone else's work, especially when there are many trash cans.
Kyiv is beautiful! It's definitely not as perfect as it looks in the video, there are places where there is dirt, it has its flaws like any big city in the world, for example, it's not very suitable for people with reduced mobility, but this ancient city has something in the air that makes you fall in love with his place. Very romantic, a little mysterious, so beautiful💗
As a native Kyivan, I ask you to come to our city, the most beautiful city on the hills, delightful, atmospheric, authentic. Honestly, sometimes I just cry because of the realization that I was born in Kyiv
I am from Kyiv and when I going somewhere in Europe, I always mentioned that every place have garbage)) And yes, Kyiv is the cleanest city, I've ever been 😊 Welcome after our victory🤗🙌🇺🇸🇺🇦
This is already military Kyiv, after heavy fighting that went directly and near Kyiv. The video was filmed after our military drove the Russians back to the border with Belarus. Thank you for your support of Ukraine, we really appreciate it.
I wasnt born in Kyiv and I had lived in several cities before I went to Kyiv. Since then Kyiv is my home and i don't want to live anywhere else (I tried but i couldnt, I wanted only one thing - to ho home to Kyiv).
Everything you saw in the video is now the same. Kyiv almost did not suffer, since the Ukrainian army did not let Russian invaders into the city. They threatened to take Kyiv in three days, but for more than a month they got hit in the teeth in the suburbs and eventually fled defeated. They were able to see Kyiv only through their binoculars, but for many it was the last thing they saw in their lives.
I wouldn't have even thought that you would be impressed by the cleanliness of the city. It is so natural and everyday for us. Your reaction surprised me. Although I have not been to New York, so you probably have reasons for such reaction❤
