The Greyness of the day highlights the Autum leaves on the trees and even the older buildings. This time of year is Beautiful throughout London and most of England. Thanks for one the best trips filmed. Thanks for the great trip with plenty to see.🇬🇧
When the journey drew to a close I determined to give it a rave review but then I read the previous comments and realised I have nothing to add to what has been said before. Wanderizm - you are doing a great job. Thank you. Future generations will also be grateful.
Two years ago I graduated from Birkbeck College (University of London), which has a main campus based in Russell Square. It is an evening university with lectures only being held during the evenings intended for those who manage daytime jobs. Russell Square in general is known to be the base for a few university campuses in London (SOAS, UCL etc.) and also known for it's large garden squares, so it's a pretty chill area which to have nice walks and wanders. After my lectures I used to get on this particular bus (188) since it's route began in Russell Square and I would sit at the front on the top deck for the entire journey with my earphones in watching London at night. The feeling I would get was indescribable but it was always something that I would look forward to during the day. I even did it during the first lockdown back in April 2020 which was even better as the buses and roads were empty. Very lethargic. I always quite saw it as a novelty since I grew up in East London so I didn't get to see these sights everyday unless I went on this particular journey. Waterloo Bridge at night and then to top it off the 188 bus terminates at the 02 Arena, so once I got off the bus I would walk down Greenwich Peninsula at night and see the Canary Wharf skylines only a couple hundred metres away. I would even sometimes hop on the Emirates Cable Car just to enjoy more of the London skyline view at night. Which is what I'd recommend everybody taking this route. Once the bus reaches it's terminus at North Greenwhich station, take a little 5 minute walk to the Emirates Cable Car to have another view of London. Great memories that I'll cherish.
I used to work on Tower Bridge and cycled in from Wandsworth every day. I left London fourteen years ago and I still miss it. Watching this is like visiting an old friend.
Thanks for this beautiful trip .For me I‘ve seen delightful scenes of LONDON even if it was autumn because of the cheerful colors of the sophisticated buildings, clean roads , elegant people and the amazing red buses
Long but sooooo beautiful ride that time flew... The sight of the masts of the Cutty Sark behind the building as we approach Greenwich Town Centre is something else...
When i was in high school I did canoeing as a phys ed elective in the docks at canada water before the development went it. I still remember the squealing when we had to roll the canoes in that deep, dark, cold water.
Gorgeous videos. Your channel is my favourite on UA-cam. I miss London, I get very homesick, your videos are my life-line. Thank you. I especially love the tours. I love all your London videos. Just wonderful.
Great video quality!!! Pleasure to watch all your videos. And the fact that you always mention exact time and date is super useful actually. I can understand the context way better. Thank you and greetings from Moscow!!
Very good and surprisingly relaxing trundling along at 20mph. More great driving and endless patience from the bus driver. Towards the end something so unreal, pass the Cutty Sark and stunning maritime museum then enter another dimension with the O2 dome and the Canary Wharf skyline. One wonders what marvels of modern architecture are yet to appear.
Love the view of Canary Wharf 🇬🇧. Back in 1988 there was only one tower in that area and this was the case for a few years after 1988. At the end of this video the area viewed could easily be mistaken for a downtown area of any large US city, with the obvious exception of New York. Have they finished building towers in Canary Wharf or are there more to come? I understand they can't build towers too high in London because of air traffic issues but what London has got looks very impressive.
There are lots of new towers planned in Canary Wharf. With the high speed Cross Rail due to open soon connecting CW with Heathrow and Central London in the West the whole docklands district is expected to expand even more rapidly.
Thanks so much, Wanderizm - a real pleasure to take a trip down memory lane. I used the 188 daily from Greenwich (Naval College terminus at the time) to Tower Bridge Road for school and later to The Aldwich for college. Your video brought back so many memories - the old place has changed a bit, but still the same London. If or when you get the time, please do the same for the 53 from County Hall to Plumstead Common - that would be amazing. Take care and thanks again!
33:30 spare a thought for the blessed Street Sweeper battling leaves and butts to KEEP LONDON CLEAN. God bless em! Nice to see Londoner's out and about making lives. Cheers from NZ!
London is a international global city financial capital of the UK and world cosmopolitan vibrant city with character and charm great city lots to do and see.
***Hi Wanderizm I just now found you channel.....I like it*** Thanks for the wonderful tour of London, which I really like. I wish that I were financially wealthy enough to live somewhere in a nice neighbor.... not far from great pubs and enjoy a wonderful life there.
They've really screwed up those roads with the cycle tracks. Evelyn St Deptford a particular case. Impossible for emergency vehicles to get through there's just nowhere to get off the road.

I really enjoy these bus rides. I especially like that you show us the route at the beginning so I can see in which direction we're going.
Thanks for your support 👍 Glad you're enjoying the videos!
