What’s up guys my name is Justin. And today I want to talk to you about the Softail Heritage Classic and why this is a great bike for touring. I get a lot of customers that come into the dealership and they're used to touring on Street Glides and Road Glides but they're getting a bit up there in age and it's becoming a bit difficult to manage the weight, so I like to direct them to the Softail Heritage Classic.
From the factory this bike comes with windscreen which is great for protection when you're out on the highway. It comes with nice floorboards it's great for putting your feet up, as opposed to other models that just have smaller pegs. Another great thing that comes with this bike right from the factory is the fact that you have touring bags, they're also lockable.
This bike is not only great for the rider, but also for the passenger. Reason being this bike comes with a really wide passenger seat as opposed to the other Softail models that have a really narrow passenger seat, and when you're on the road for a long period of time this really makes a difference in terms of comfort.
So this bike is great because it has a really nice rider position. It's low in weight, easy to get off the kickstand, and once it's up you sit upright the handle bars are really nice your arms are in a really good relaxed position you can put your feet up on the floorboards look straight out into the open road.
This bike has a great fuel capacity comes with a 5 gallon tank so you don't have to make many stops when you're out on the road.
This bike also comes equipped with great lighting you've got these two passing lamps that come it's very specific and unique to this model a lot of customers are used to seeing it on the road king and the newer Road King specials don't have it anymore.
This bike comes equipped with cruise control so after you've been riding for a long time you want to ease off the throttle you could just set it, ease off the throttle, and cruise down the road
So this bike comes equipped with a 114 cubic in motor which also equates to 1870 CC's and it also has a six-speed transmission.
Other than the fact that this bike is great for touring it also comes with style points you've got these really cool spoked wheels on here doesn't come like this on any other bike. Got a really cool looking fender, you've got the passing lamps on here, that really give it that one-off look kind of just brings you back to old School Harley-Davidson.
So in this lineup here, we've got a few different colour options for 2024 models we've got Vivid Black with a nice chrome trim we've also got a two-tone colour option here Vivid Black and Red Rock. Really, really, really, nice finish also comes with a black windscreen, as opposed to the one that comes on the Chrome, which is just straight clear.
Also available for color options is Alpine Green and Billiard Gray. Billiard Gray this year is a base color for Harley-Davidson so if you want to go with Billiard Gray that will be your cheapest option along with the chrome trim.
