I don't know how to describe it. It's like a normal voice. But tuned to perfection. It doesn't have any too low/too high notes. It's like melodically talking. This is what I imagine an elf from a fantasy book sounds like. She doesn't sound like a conventional singer. At all

“Goodbye” is definitely my favourite song, and that moment when the camera fades out leaving that dwindling flame at the end of episode three goes so well with it. PEAK FICTION
I remember being really bored one night and scrolling through Netflix looking for something to watch before going to sleep. I had passed Arcane a few times on the feed and remembered seeing a lot of people posting reaction videos and other things about it so I thought "what the hell, I'll just watch a couple episodes, probably get bored and turn in for the night." I watched the first two episodes and was pleasantly surprised, so I decided I would continue watching it the next evening. Then I saw episode 3 and everything that happened and that closing shot as this song began playing and I knew I was going to finish the whole thing (which I proceeded to do over the next few days). I am still yet to experience a show or a movie that has gripped me the way this one has. The level of anxiety, sadness, and brief optimism followed by crushing depression this story inspired is unlike any other that I've read or watched over the years. I cannot wait for season 2 to get here and I'm definitely looking forward to the fantastic covers you'll make of whatever songs they end up using. Thanks for another spectacular cover Rachel, you really captured the sense of tragedy and loss of innocence that this song is meant to convey. A great cover to kick off 2024!
