Yes. That's right, Hoyoverse has no problem with creating new assets that will never be reused again either, just like Havria's domain they created a hybrid between Liyue ancient civilization with Sal Vindagnyr's civilization with it's own extremely unique architect not found anywhere else within. The name of her domain is also known as Sal Terrae too and the cave leading there goes under in the direction towards Dragonspine where Sal Vindagnyr once stood.

It's downright chilling to think that envoys of Khaenri'ah were the possible reason why Havria was killed. And is even more shocking to think those same envoys were the ones who twisted the history about what actually happened at Salt Terrae, and decided to label Morax as cold-murderer god that wouldn't hesitate to attack a weak god. And according to Zhongli's First Quest, humans killing gods is a form of taboo.
If we take account all those ruins, then is possible that Khaenri'ah must have been way bigger than we think, and even expanding from Tsurumi Island and Apple Archipielago, or least points of references to conquer later. Or could be also possible that Khaenri'ah also send those envoys to mend among different societies and learn their knowledge --- meaning that's how they learned about the existence of Ley Lines, and how to bend Elemental energy.

Of course it's not so simple. We were pretty quick to label Khaenri'ah as the good side and Celstia as the bad, which may or may not be true, but it is pretty much confirmed that Khaenri'ah was coexisting with other nations ruled by the seven for pretty long time, until they showed "mortal arrogation" and brought forth the punishment of their "sins" by the gods.
The wrongs here are, Khaenri'ahns as mortals achieved many great rhings without a god, and became over ambitious, and arrogant, so they did the mistake of making an enemy of the divine. That was their "sin". But, not all khaeri'ahns shown "arrogation", yet all of them were punished. And that was celestia's "sin". Or that's what I think for now at least.

This is true. Not all ancient dead civilizations were godless, they were also systematically corrupted.
The reason Celestia probably condemned the entire nation is so that no memory of said civilization remains and repeats itself. As seen in Sumeru, memories power the irminsul tree, the tree of reality. Maybe heavily blasphemous memories hurt the tree and reality itself too.

Most of the ruins found in the game belong to the ancient pre-archon war global civilization that worshiped the primordial one and it's shades. They were wiped out by "the second who came" and the survivors ended up in mostly underground like in Enkanomiya, the Chasm depths, and some of whom ended up founding Khaenri'ah.

  • @WARPAINTandUnicorns
    @WARPAINTandUnicorns 2 роки тому +191

Also in Enkanomiya and The Chasm, the statues for the Seelie's home base are perfectly intact without any damage.... All other Seelie statues are damaged in Teyvat's current game locations. Why JUST these two locations so far is VERY suspicious as they affect the Seelies that are there and this may be tied to the First Crown civilizations that fell into the lowest parts of these locations. With each layer to the Chasm going deeper and deeper. I would not be surprised that the Friist Crown ruins are also at the same geological level as Enkanomiya.
The nail in the Chasm is the last layer just after the Frist Crown ruins and is likely the source of the plague of miasma that attacked the Chasm 500 years about that "Xiao" or the nameless Yaksha with Rex Lapis put a stop to that calamity when Khaenri'ah imploded. This Nail however was dropped it seems before the Archon war, however... It chased out the indigenous people from the area of the Chams and "Caused" the Chasm current shape....
I suspect that the other regions will have their own "Calamity" stories due to the impact of what happened to Khaenri'ah. But Mondstadt and Inazuma had to deal with the worst fallout due to their proximity to the nation of Khaenri'ah. Also the spread of the rouge Ruin Machines from Khaenri'ah started in Mondstadt/Inazuma before they travelled over the whole continent of Tayvat.

The four point insignias above the doorways are called Solomon's Knots, it's a symbol that's commonly associated with eternity and often appears over Jewish mausoleums. Mihoyo also uses the Solomon's Knot as a symbol for Dr. Mobius from Honkai Impact 3rd, whose battlesuit is known as Infinite Ouroboros, so from that along with the Chasm's story, we can conclude that the intended use for the symbol on Domains is likely to represent something continuous, like a never ending curse or cycle.
As for lost civilizations, all of the previous games made by Mihoyo took place in the same world, separated by cataclysms and resets, where the populace of the planet was reincarnated into an existence similar to that of the previous world, but having no memory of the life they lived before. This is why characters like Kiana Kaslana, Raiden Mei and Bronya Zaychik, all appear again in the different games, yet some changes take place between the games, that's because they're the reincarnations of the characters who died during the previous game's cataclysm. The old worlds mentioned in these games are actually the previous games themselves, and believe it or not, a Super AI causes the resets after every cataclysm, this is not a theory, it's entirely canon. That's why the last scene in Houkai Gakuen 2 has all of the characters dying, the world getting destroyed, reset, and ends on the final note of: "See you in the next world"; the next world being Honkai Impact 3rd.
It's not directly mentioned in Honkai Impact 3rd though, so a lot of players aren't aware of it, I actually had trouble believing it myself until researching Houkai Gakuen 2, and confirmed it to be the case. Unfortunately, the numerous Wiki's for the Honkai series are not well maintained, so they weren't very helpful.
It's also important to note the existences of Bubble Universes, in the Hoyoverse there are two key factors that must be understood regarding universes and the lore.
First is the Imaginary Tree, which is where universes are born into existence, time flows down each branch, and every branch leads to a different variant of universes, the farther the branches are away from the source, the more unique they become, likewise every leaf and petal represents what is called a Bubble Universe.
Bubble Universes are where the action takes place, and every decision made can lead to a new Bubble Universe forming on the Tree. Like with Cocolia, whose an antagonist in the main story, but appears as an ally while Bronya was visiting a Dead Bubble Universe in the Sea of Quanta.
The second critical place to understand is the Sea of Quanta, which is basically Honkai's abyss, it's where the Bubble Universe go when they die, the process of which is described as being like a leaf or a petal falling from the Tree into the pool of water at the base of the Tree. This should ring a bell with Genshin players, because it's represented on a smaller scale whenever we collect from the Tree at the end of a Domain challenge, and the circle at the base lights up with a symbol known as the Triskele, which has multiple meanings: Earth, Water and Sky; Spiritual, Physical and Celestial; Past, Present and Future; Life, Death and Rebirth; Heaven, Earth and Hell; Maiden, Woman and Crone; in Genshin lore, one might interpret the Triskele as: Light Realm, Human Realm and Abyss Realm, or in Honkai: Imaginary Tree, Earth and Sea of Quanta.
Now, the Sea of Quanta is fighting a constant battle of dominance with the Imaginary Tree, the Sea tries to drown the roots of the Tree, while the Tree consumes the Sea into itself; the outcome of this conflict is where Honkai energy comes into things.
Simply put, Honkai energy powers civilization, from electric stoves to weapons, but it also corrupts life forms, turning some into Zombies, Monsters, or even Herrschers.
As for Teyvat, it's actually shown on a monitor in chapter 17 of Honkai Impact 3rd, the official writer had this to say about it's appearance in the scene in Fallen Rosemary's trailer:
"In the final part of main story Chapter 17, Overseer Otto observed other worlds via the Imaginary Tree. One of his observations is Dvalin, the wind Dragon from Teyvat."
So from this we have an official source directly stating that Teyvat takes place within the same multiverse as Honkai, not necessarily the same universe though.
In the Elysian Realm, Su has a conversation with Raiden Mei where he tells her about his psychic ability, and how it allows him to see into different worlds, he describes the following experience:
"In that world I am a woman, but one harboring great malice. She weaved an illusion that ensnared the entire Earth with spirituality far superior to mine."
From this it explains how different a parallel world in the Hoyoverse can be, so you can imagine just how different it might be farther down the Tree.

Re: the Golden Apple Archipelago- my understanding is that they’re the remnants of Pilos Peak (from the early Fischl event). The summit, as described from the event, is now the entrance to the Spiral Abyss (Musk Reef). The rest got blown away by Barbatos. This would explain why some of the ruins are upside-down in the Archipelago.
The original location of the Pilos Peak is explained in the Hilichurl Language Guide that Ella Musk gave during the Hilichurl event- “Dadaupa” means “big mountain”. Pilos peak once stood where Dadaupa Gorge is now. (Are the 3 Hilichurl tribes remnants of the people that lived on the mountain?)
Time frame is a little vague; the mountain was there when Leonard climbed it (2,600 years ago) and was inspired to make the Glider. The mountain was virtually unclimbable and there was no mention of civilization then.
How did the entrance of the Spiral Abyss appear at the summit? Is that connected to the False Sky that Scaramouche/Mona reveal to us?
When/why did Barbatos destroy Pilos Peak? It seems before the Khaenri’ah War/Cataclysm, because the mountain was long-forgotten by the people of Mondstadt…

The damage to Decarabian’s tower (especially the bending of the trees) look like a massive force came OUTWARDS from the tower. If you consider Zhongli’s first character quest, where we see the aftermath of the death of an incredibly weak god causing massive death in proximity, my guess would be that the death of Decarabian caused an explosion of energy which devastated Old Mond. Also I believe the ruins in the archipelago are from Venti cutting down and blowing away the mountains in Mondstadt where they one existed.

"Perhaps opportune enough to question whether Kairos (Istaroth) may have been involved?"
Well, there's a lot of evidence that Istaroth was the divine being that blessed Sal Vindagnyr. The Diary of Roald the Adventurer tells us that the mountain was "abandoned by the Wind of Time," the Imunlakur Clan of Mondstadt who descend from Imunlakur the hero of Sal Vindagnyr worshiped the God of Time at the Thousand Winds Temple, and Istaroth's most devout followers appear to be scribes(see: the Scribe of Tokoyo Ookami who wrote "Before Sun and Moon") like the Scribe of the Scribe's Box.

The people escaping the Golden Apple Archipelago/Haar Islands escaping Tsurumi Island and then becoming the people of Dragonspine because of two things, the grandmother in one of the conch shells being Mondstadtian (her seelie goes back to her homeland of Mondstadt, as well as her Nursery Rhyme being a Mondstadt Nursery Rhyme), and that the people who helped them escape the archipelago are people from Inazuma 500 years ago, when Ako Domeki and the others from Seirai Island rebelled against the Shogun, so they couldn’t have become Dragonspine Citizens as Dragonspine was roughly 3000 years ago according to the Imunlaukr Clan forming a few centuries before the fall of Old Mondstadt which was like 2600 years ago (all of these years are just approximations). Thank you so much for the video though, since it helps explain all the different architecture within the places and which civilization was connected to what.

Just a note regarding the Golden Apple Archipelago or the Haar Island - The ruines of at least one of the islands was from Mondstadt (Sal Vindagnyr) and were dropped in the ocean when Venti was terraforming the land. It's the same situation with Pilos Peak becoming Musk Reef (the island with the spiral abyss). There are two «quests» that expanded on it:
    1- The one with the seelie that brings us back to Mondstadt via wormhole;
2- A hidden quest on a small unnamed island that once was an observation tower for the stars.
Now I understood it as being ruins coming from Sal Vindagnyr, but there might use to have a totally different montain near Windrise (kinda touched upon during the unreconcilled stars event).

Both are powerful human nations that left an impact on their worlds through Culture, Wisdom and even Technology and eventually both have met their tragic ends at the hands of their respective Deities ( The Gods of Celestia and the Valar of Valinor ) whom they have both pissed really really bad.
The only main difference here is that the Khaenriahns became a shattered wreck of their former selves that they became the Hillichurls that we knew today while the surviving Numenorians or specically those who did not pissed of the Valar would become the Men of the Dundedain and would live on by founding the Kingdoms of Arnor and Gondor.

furthermore, it is never stated that celestia actually "destroy" khaenriah, we were told an event happened in khaenriah and the archon could not leave them be, dainlief never exactly blame them for their destruction, what he said was "they never recieved the aid of gods". i believe the way dainlief say it is very intentional by the writters to leave the issue vague. the archon did burn it to the ground, but it is likely after the diaster as already happened and they were trying to stop the corruption from spreading.
the one thing we learn about the traveler is his ability to purify corruption, this was shown in the dvalin quest and is why the archon venti became interested in the traveler. we also encounter the pillar twice, both times we "fix" the pillar, why would we "fix" it? if it is a weapon? because it not, it is a suppressor of corruption. what is the point of the story in enkonomiya? it is to tell us that abyss corruption is deadly to human and dragons.
the most important hint is we never saw a pillar in the destruction of khaenriah, if we are told that dropping a pillar is the SOP of celestia to "destruct civilisation", why was did not done to khaenriah and instead they had to burn the whole place down?
dainleif in the both the chasm and the meeting quest never state the ruin are khaenriah, instead he simply refer to the ruin as being familar as the reason why the ruin guard travel to them. no doubt the murder bot of khaenriah can see the similarity, but dainslief explicitly said the ruin are not related to khaenirah.

after the battle between primordial one and second who came, the single great civilization breaks apart and turn into new civilizations like dragonspine, tsurumi island, and khaenriah founders are probably from the great civilization that's why khaenriah architecture is quiet similar to ancient ruins around tevyat.

you got it reverse, these are not khaenriah ruin, khaenriah was build in their image but is merely an attempt at copy. as dainleif stated, the ruin look familar, but he never regarded them as khaenriah. khaenriah is a relatively young nation, in the quest to find the ruin guard, dainleif stated the ruin guard are not protecting the ruin, rather they merely find them familar. in the chasm dainleif again said they are familar to him but are not khaenriah ruin. this is intentional, MHY want to make it clear that they are not khaenriah, khaenriah is an actual place and according to the chapter preview, we will be visiting, so it is clearly not the ruins we see around the world. rather the abyss and ruin guard are surveying the ruin because they are trying to collect information and learn the technology. they are copying, not part of these civilisation.

I actually think that the Sal Vindagnir and Tsurumi islands ruins are remnants of the empire of the Seelie. I suspect Khaenri'ah is in Natlan (lava fields) or in Mare Jivari (Could be wrong).
The Seelie we meet are mostly shells of their former selves and are super eroded. They are also always found near these ruins in most cases in high numbers. The architectural style does not match Enkanomiya or Chasm City designs either. Additionally if you notice the domes for these builds were much smaller than domes for say Enkanomiya buildings which had massive domes/no domes. Additionally why i think they belong to the erstwhile Seelie empire is the symbol on the gates, it looks like a Seelie (paimon does as well). Folks what do you all think?

    • @Rexhunterj
      @Rexhunterj 2 роки тому +1

I don't know if they'd be remnants... maybe their nations were allied or one had helped the other in some way and thus was respected by copying/adopting their architecture/symbolisms.
Paimon being a seelie, that's really cool as an idea and would make for a really nice plot twist later on.
As for Khaenri'ah, it's been basically confirmed that it was an underground nation, think of a dwarven kingdom essentially.
They likely tunneled up to the surface or found means (using Abyssal Energy and Technology) to make the jump from below to above.
Since it's confirmed that they sent envoys to other nations they thought would find merit in Khaenri'ahs goals, that means they had found said nations and explored them enough to learn about them, or had managed to ask surface dwellers for info perhaps.
The major concern is... was Khaenri'ah already descending into darkness at this point? See... the Serpent Knights in The Chasm drop an idol, and the first tier of idol refers to it being for a beloved, kind leader, the final tier, the idol changes and looks quite dark/evil in comparison to the previous two tiers, the flavour text is also dark, talking about the leader's dark ambitions.
Which implies that the ruler of Khaenri'ah was once a kind, beloved person who genuinely cared for humans, which is why they rallied under this king. But later his ambitions turned dark and grim, his goals no longer pure of intention.

    • @danielm5535

I’m convinced that Mare Jivari is Khaenri’ah- in one of the loading screens, it explains “It is an endless plain of ash where the wind don’t blow”- devoid of all the blessings of the elements: No wind, no water to wash the ash away, no plants, ash doesn’t burn, no water to freeze, no storms or electricity…
It’s also where Stanley died- by Ruin Machines…?

  • @Zarozian

I think the ancient ruins that predate Khaenri'ah in the Chasm and Enkanomiya is the nation that the gods that are currently residing in Celestia were originally a part of. Cause why else would these ruins have the ability to ease a curse from the gods themselves? It's possible that this was a nation of gods that has Khaenri'ah as it's indirect successor not so different from Ancient Rome succeeding Ancient Greece. They probably tried to bury it to hide their true origins.
This ancient civilization is probably the first human civilization in Teyvat.

So, the answer we already got from Enkanomiya before the sun and moon. The Primordial one ruled over all of teyvat, and there were no separate countries/regions with separate archons at the time. So it stands that all the architecture that match, over inazuma liyue and monstad, are all Primordial era architecture. It's also more fitting that those have the triquetra. whatever the triquetra stands for, it was more important and more revered in that era so it was put everywhere.

    Great video 👍👍👍
    I definitely needed this one
    Perfect timing
I was just now looking around at the old Mondstadt's ruins and i have a speculation regarding those
I think the old Mondstadt before Decarabia took over was also an Underground city
( I cannot say it was city or not back ghen but I'm definitely sure that the terrain had been changed or affected)
I've always found it weird that the ground level of the old Mondstadt city is below the normal ground level yet not so deep when compared to other places silar
If you compare the map of the Surface of the chasm to the old Mondstadt on the map it is quite apparent that the old Mondstadt one is definitely not natural ( u don't mean in depth wise, i mean the outline of the place look very unnatural as if made through force)
I don't think whomever is responsible for it's odd terrain caved it in or pushed it down (like Enkanomiya)
I think the place was flat lands (think it it the area of old Mondstadt having a roof on top)
Fir making it simple to reference this cover over the old Mondstadt I'll call it the roof of old Mondstadt
I believe this roof of old Mondstadt had a massive tree on it which was pulled out of the ground with roots intact this creating the weird outline of old Mondstadt
To prove the the existence of this tree there's part of it which i believe to be a root in the walls of Andrius's trial areana, the side of it pointing underground is facing the old Mondstadt

There are 2 types of ruins, those of ancient civilizations that share characteristics with each other, and those of newer civilizations that are different from each other.
also what you said about khaenri'a in Sal Vinganyr that last message from the "new city without gods", according to the same game all those events of spinadragon, occur long before the foundation of mondstadt by a certain clan that was derived from this , and it was not little, it seems that it was long before the arrival of decarabian in the area because the icy weather already prevailed in the area.
also the ruins of the islands of the golden apple are the same ones that are literally in mondstadt, they were taken when the tops of the venti mountains were blown up who changed the climate.
Khaenri'a seems to use an architecture similar to the old Mondstadt, but without any symbology that represents divinity, because all the symbols that come out represent either primordia or the irminsul trees in most of the ruins.

I look at the ruins and see four incidents of Celestia destroying civilizations. We have the ruins of Khaenri'ah, the desolation of the civilization in the Chasm, The destruction of the civilization on Tsurumi Island and at Sal Vindagnyr. I can agree that it is likely that any overlap we see in the ruins is possible due to immigration of survivors who then integrated their aesthetics into the designs of the civilizations they settle with. We also have to consider that Liyue, Inuzuma and Monstadt existed when the "cataclysm" and its fallout took place as it has been noted that the destruction of Khaenri'ah thus making it possible that survivors of the event could also have fled there. We have proof of this being possible in the form of Albedo. If he escaped to Monstadt it is possible others who were not infected fled further.

The idea that the ruins in Mondstadt and everywhere else are Khaenrian don't make any sense though? All we know about Khaenria, is that it existed somewhere in the Dark sea region, don't you think there would have been much more info about it in the world if it was actively going on conquests to get the land and to actively build stuff on it? It was destroyed only 500 years ago at this point, and all the other countries existed for far longer then that, they didn't get established on Khaenrian lands after it's destruction.
Absolutely everything points to all these ruins being from a FAR older civilization, the Sal Vindagnyr and probably even older ones, which in turn, when destroyed formed Khaenria, or went there when it was only getting started, hence the somewhat of a similarity Dain noticed, but even he stated the ruins are not Khaenrian... similarly when he was speaking of ruin guards peviously, he didn't say "they now reside in every Khaenrian ruins all over the world" he specifically said they took any ancient ruins for Khaenria and rested there, which in turn tells us those are definitely not Khaenrian ruins.

I have a point to state... The nails on dragonspine, tsurumi and chasm underground must've been thrown by Celestia in order to kill the escapee(s) from khaenria'h distriction..

Uh. Upside down Triquetra on the ruins. Upside Triquetra on the Thousand Winds Temple. Upside down Triquetra on Paimon's chest. Interesting. And the fact that the Traveller has memories of Kanri'ah supports the theory that indeed what is now Abyss sibling could have been indeed the one that built that nation to begin with and pheraps, the initial scene of the game, is nothing but the siblings escaping from making a gigantic, epic "oopsie" ( creating a nation without a god in a world ruled by a very stroppy god).

Hmm about the goddess of Salt part, didnt her followerws kill her out of a dumb reasoning of not letting her feel guilty for not being able to protect her people? I do have this memory of this quest i my head somehow.

That was “why she was there”. Sadly 2.6 made my thoughts on the traveler less likely but my Paimon theory pressed forward from that idea.

What about the architecture of Celestia/the nails. Thay don't match any of the other civilizations even though Celestia presumably had contact with many if not all of the civilizations.

Until we have more comparable objects to look at I don’t really have anything else to look at other than the pillars from the login window and the encounter with the sustainer. which are remarkable in their similarity but they’re not precisely perfect.

It is possible that Khaenri'ah had expanded throughout the entirety of Teyvat, on the underground, and had constructions in various places to as access to the upper surface.
Since Teyvat may be a flat world, and with the new Chasm ruins upside down, it is possible that the abyss/Khaenri'ah is an upside down Teyvat, not just underground but placed on the other side of the plane.
