I really like the exercise. Babs doesn’t seem to be the brightest one but she’s working hard. I appreciate that you give her two rewards. Staying relaxed even at 10:50 😂 is a key. Nice to them developing.
haha babs is fine, she's just the outsider in that Atlas (the white one) has been with me for the last 2 weeks and we've been working on some stuff that makes this easier to grasp, and of course Capri has had the most extensive of it all
thanks again, for the insights of your training… mental exercises are sadly often forgotten to be done. Dog owners focus on physical activity and forget about the things your dogs really utilize.
I pick up my 6 month male Japanese Akita next week and you have me confident to start my new journey. I had a well trained husky so I am not that much of a beginner. Thank you for everything
We're always better with our second dogs haha, There were so many things I wish I would have done with Juicebox (the first) but of course learning from the first usually benefits the next
i love watching your videos.. i want very much to get on your level with my dog. i inherited him unexpectedly a little while ago, he’s a 2 year old border collie german shepherd. i remain hopeful that with enough consistent training i can help him learn to be more disciplined. i’ve been watching your videos trying to learn what i can about dog training. thanks for what you do!
It seems like Babs was learning from watching positive role models in addition to the correction and reinforcement. Capri and Atlas are quick learners. I wonder what it would look like with three dogs like Babs and none like Capri or Atlas.🤔
With proper foundation training, getting a dog into a state of learning, it all works the same with all dogs, Ive done this exercise with up to 9 dogs at once, and eventually they all understood it all the same. I think most dogs just have that habit formed, where they run to their owners the moment any name is called, and the owners of course reinforce that, so the meaning isn't ever really clear
@@ericandcaprithepup That makes sense. 9 is amazing! It’s difficult to resist reinforcing a dog with affection when it’s coming to greet you so happily and sweetly.🥺 But I totally understand it’s significantly counterproductive from a logical, behavior shaping perspective. I enjoy seeing the learning process more than before and after videos. I understand it makes a lengthier video that can be less popular though. You do great work. 👍🏼
Am I biased or is Capri the star student??. ... I'd long said I didn't like dogs because of my fear, but I am hopeful to engage in the future. Thanks Eric. Continued Blessings to you and ALL your ventures Sir.
really enjoy your videos. Many (and I say that with sadness because it is many) dog owners now are the worst. YOUR DOG DOESN'T FEEL SAFE IF YOU DON'T SHOW IT WHO'S IN CHARGE!!! Step up and lead or it will. It doesn't need clothes or 20 toys and beds made out of silk but it does need a walk a master who's a firm, loving leader. Weak, soft and should stick to cats! Soz rant over but see some of these idiots comments and omg, blood boils. Love from UK and don't let the idiots win - they're clowns my friend.
No no no!!! Running and walking is part of the training. Running and walking will help you to connect with your dog. So, very simple, this exercise to STAY is a complement. Is not the best, is not the worst but is a complement of obedience. 😜
I certainly never said no one should walk with their dogs. I believe I'm simply saying that if you don't mentally exercise your dog then you won't have a truly tired dog who can relax for longer periods of time through the day.
“Is your name capri? Huh? Is your name capri?” 😂😂😂
Babs or Baps is adorable. Such a cute little run.
Babs like babs bunny
Baps is just one happy dog!!!!

Excellent video, Babs’ excited hop, skip and run is the cutest! 😂 Eric, please may I ask where you got your training pouch/treat bag from? Many thanks
Excellent.. ❤
Thanks Darlene!
Your Awesome!!!!❤
I love how happy they are with those wagging tails! So fun to watch. You make it so easy to understand.🤩
Why is always the most energetic dogs that need their names called twice? I have found this to be true
The Babs in our pack is also an all black dog only named Bear instead of Babs!

I really enjoy these videos, you got a sub from me sir!
Welcome!! ❤❤
Is Capri a high drive Malinois?
Or is he bred to be a Pet?
Eric hi. Been long you came to Calabar
not that long, I came this last February-March
If this man called my name if come 😊
Where are you from?
Do you have to train each individually first before doing it as a group? How would I be able to teach a group of dogs at the same time
Can you please tell me what kind of dog Baps is? She looks and acts just like my adopted baby but ofc I’m not sure what her breed is
I need to be your student I have a lot of dogs and I need help they’re so much to handle
What breed is Atlas?
Is there a reason why you had the leash in your left hand while your training for listening
Who noticed the malinois ❤️
What breed is capri
Half shepherd and Belgian mal
