There’s nothing positive in overconsumption. Keep what you love and use! I try to do the same. Overconsumption actually says a lot about our emotional state. In most cases people don’t realize it but they trying to fill a void. I’ll try to be more mindful of my purchases and also of the situations and people that are no longer serving a purpose in my life.
Talking about it isn't going to help you. Don't say you want to be a minimalist when it's obvious you don't. If you did, you would put on your big girl britches and have the life you say you want.
I am also going through a minimizing stage. I will never be a true minimalist but I don’t want to have large collections anymore. I am doing a no buy on B&BW for next year and a low buy on perfumes. I need to just enjoy & use up what I have.
That is exactly what I am doing! I will still add perfumes here and there but I’m going back on a no buy for the excess 💚 I wouldn’t say I’m a minimalist either AT ALL 😂 this is still way more than the average consumer probably has
I just did a declutter myself. I am also on a no buy until I get down to double digits in my collection, which should take me a good while. I am just concentrating on enjoying what I currently have.
I just did a huge declutter today, and I feel so good. Not only was I able to clear out my space, but I was also able to bless some lovely ladies with some good fragrances. I am going to try and keep my collection more manageable from now on.

I can vouch for your comment about this particular packaging of "Forever Red" I finished the FFM before the body wash due to over spraying because it has hardly any smell. I was shocked to see you part ways with some of your faves but I definitely understand that reaching a new level requires some change and compromise.
Nice declutter. Im trying to be way more conscious of my spending and phurshasing as well. My collection is not huge - about 10 mists, some back up lotions and a couple shower gels. I've decluttered a few (donated them) - I have done a bit of buying in recent sales - Snowflakes and Cashmere because I'm in LOVE with it, and a wee bit of hoarding 😅 with Golden Berry Mistletoe ( 2 lotions,2 creams and 2 mists ) because I am obsessed with it and terrified it will never come back, BBW does that a lot. But now I only buy what I absolutely love and not just kind of like because it's NEW NEW. I don't have any Victoria's Secret as we don't have one in my town ( can't buy without testing ) don't know if we even have VS stores in Canada now, I do know a bunch of them closed down....
I think is time for me to start enjoying what I already have instead of thinking what I’m buying next, and for that I also need to stop watching videos about new products coming out, that content gives me anxiety to go and buy buy buy. Great video, thanks for sharing!!
I gave away the same pumpkin pecan waffle mist last year for the same reason. I just haven’t been into it. I kept the 2021 version, but gave away that one because I didn’t need a back up. I applaud your willpower and discipline, because it’s so hard to let go of fragrances (especially if it’s something I can no longer purchase). 😩 I’m always afraid that I will regret it, but I really need to downsize. There are so many that I rarely reach for, and some I started using as room sprays to get through the quicker. Out of 150+ fragrance mists, there’s only about 15-20 that I reach for on a regular basis, yet I can’t let go. I have to borderline dislike it to finally part with it. 😬
Letting go is definitely a mental thing, I learned how to work through it in therapy 💚 something that helps me even if it’s “discontinued” is that, nobody on the street would be able to tell the difference of you wearing one thing or another. If you smell good, you just smell good, no matter what it is 😉
@@BohoGuru Good point! I definitely have a hard time letting go in general and I have separation anxiety. Slowly but surely I’ve been parting with things. It’s definitely not easy, but fragrances will be my toughest challenge.

I gave my best friend into the stars and Fall in bloom recently cause it started giving me a headache! Like WTH but I never throw them in the trash. I’m glad someone else will enjoy them. I also give brand new items to the women shelters.

And your right i brought extra cause my son got killed and i was there, the trauma Was so heavy i just keep buying cause thats the only happiness i could find. I realize i needed real help. Ive been disappointed with the performance of some perfumes I really loved. In many instances my mists, sometimes layered with lotions, perform better. But of course, either way, one has to be judicious and take it case by case, and also avoid buying on account of the top notes!
This weekend was my last visit to bath and body works for a good long time. Ive got enough products with enough variety in scent type. I should be good for at least a year
I love bath and body works. I started having a lot more discipline when buying. I created a rule during SAS to only buy things that I didn’t have or was really low on. I had way too many body sprays, shower gels and lotions. I’m also trying to use up the older items first. If I don’t see myself using that item I sell it, give it away, or use it for store credit. You are doing great.
I wish I had your discipline. I refuse to let anything go. My mentally is , I bought it darn it and I’m going to use it! The goal is to at least use up the body cream from last year before they spoil

I want to declutter all my body mists/ lotions and just keep my perfumes. I have severe ezcema, and I can only use Bbw and VS on my arms.

If it’s older I usually just give it away. When I do whatnot shows I usually start everything at $1 and let people bid until someone wins 😊
Hello. Does anyone know how long the BBW lotions last? I have a few that I have not used in a while and do not want to throw them out.
A good rule of thumb is 3 years max, but one year once it’s been opened.
