I think my favorite part of this chapter was Rob lucci's interaction with Marcus Mars. I was not expecting that show of empathy towards his comrade.
Lucci has been shown to be one of the most morally bankrupt characters in the entire series.
Yet, in the face of a literal f****** demon, he shows his humanity.

I mean they are kinda family... if we take the cover story into consideration they did a lot to safe luccy when he was in the hospital
That first panel with Lucci’s face reacting to Mars is amazing. At first, I couldn’t tell if he was shocked because he’d never seen the Itsumade form or because he never expected to see it on Egghead. Either way, boy wasn’t tryna end up on a shirt and got his shit together real quick before passing out.
@@Nthsey did he actually pass out? Lucci stocks should be going up this chapter. Realistically, Zorro and jinbei won the fight, but did not get the job finished. If your power scaling, that actually does matter.
That being said. Lucci collecting himself after showing the first time we've seen terror on his face.... Is commendable. The other fact that he actually had the balls to ask anything from Mars in this situation.
Kaku is 100% his partner and comrade. Stussy better watch her back the entire rest of this series
I would say balls if the answer had been yes or no. But considering the answer was "dang, sorry but your friend is an insect, like you. Peace". It just made it seem naive and a bit suicidal.

Kinda insane how every DF category had their time to shine. Pre-time skip was all about logia hype with Smoker, Ace and Croc, then last pre-time skip to Post-time skip was about brokenasss paramecias users like Whitebeard and Law, now that we're in the end game its all about zoans with awakened mythical zoans like Luffy, the Elders, Kaido, etc. I just never zoans would be this hype.
The difference is we saw a paramecia and zoan awakening but never a logia yet. And one of the few final opponent luffy has to face are both logia holders akainu and bb.

If Zoro wasn’t off screen fighting Oda would have had to take time to draw him into the story, taking away from others. If Zoro knocked out Lucci, then wouldn’t be able to have his interaction with Mars. All of this has played out for story telling elements and never power scaling.

Luffy's given bounty decreased from 3,000,000,000 to 30,000,000 during Egghead. Now the only way for the fake given bounties to matter even close to the real given bounties is to give Luffy a bounty of 100,000,000 after Egghead.

After seeing the deluded and atrocious Zoro fans day by day. U kind of give me a bit hope that there are still some sensible people in Zoro fandom. Even if they may be the minority
The problem really isn't accepting that Zoro loses to Luffy. It's accepting that losing against another character isn't a bad thing. So many characters have lost against other characters in the past and it doesn't make them any less of a great part of the story.
However, nowadays we just hate on characters when they seem to struggle. In this arc it's Lucci, Kizaru, Zoro and Sanji.
Later this arc it will be the Gorosei once they don't kill anyone in this arc and when people realize it, they will call them whack.
Same shit happened with Big Mom, Law, Kid and the Scabbards in Wano. And with Sanji, Germa, etc. in Whole Cake.
The fact that Lucci is still standing doesn't make Zoro whacker. Lucci losing against Zoro doesn't make him uncool.
Lucci still standing only makes sense, he is an awakened Zoan User, their biggest power buff is that they regenerate, get back up and have a lot of stamina. We know that shit since Impel Down.
Zoro is the second strongest in the Crew. Marco can't beat Mihawk. Shiryu can't beat Blackbeard. Katakuri can't beat Big Mom.

Here’s some things to consider about the Gorosei: It seems like Warcury can turn his tusks into blades, just like the dice dice fruit ability would. Saturn can also shoot explosive spit, just like Mr.5’s devil fruit with his explosive boogers. On top of that, the venom that cover his spider legs might be the same as the venom Magellan has with his DF.
So it makes me think that they are indeed the progenitors of Devil Fruits, or that at the very least, they have some type of connection with them. They may be able to manifest any DF ability at will, which really puts BB to shame with his lone 2 DFs.
Goda turns are acceptable to me from this day onwards. It was hard for me to see that Goda makes turns and not twists before today.

This shows 2 things.
1:luffy is getting stronger, and the gap is getting wider. This fight was what made zoro realize. He was using lucci to train. He's trying to catch up to luffy.
2: this is also to raise lucci up. Its like oda saying "i know lucci got bodied, but thats only because its luffy. Zoro is incredibly strong but still wasnt able to fully finish him with his 3 sword style.
Its all to establish the gap.
Also just a note. This could be ida trying to scale zoro down a bit because he was too strong

Kizaru should get cut a little slack. Luffy was just as emotional when he had to knock out Usopp and ditch the Merry. Kizaru had to actually kill someone he clearly cared for. Plus we don't know his backstory so he may have a past that makes this even harder. Nothing to do with powerscaling, but I can understand his will to keep fighting in this situation being crushed.

Lucci is the top CP0 agent, an awakened zoan and took a few named shots from Yonko Luffy before temporarily going down. I don't understand why every youtuber thinks Zoro should be able to one shot him. None of the beast pirates showed awakening. Do people think Zoro should be able to one-shot Queen, King - all Yonko commanders now? I imagine that's about how strong lucci is.
Zoro is strong but he's not a Yonko. Just read what Oda is writing and he's writing that Lucci is strong.

Zoro and luffy being somewhat equal was pretty much over after the katakuri fight when luffy got snakeman, minor armanent and future sight upgrade then he got even stronger when training ryuo and when he got g5 and acoc it was just completely over now they are planets apart in strength
