I watched the entire show with so much awe.. I am in my mid forties, married close to 20 yrs.. Watching your every step makes me come to the conclusion that there are a lot of things i should have done differently in life.. The summary of the whole matter is marry your friend, someone that shares your vision and loves your family and above all save luxury and personal aggrandizement for the future. i was one of the persons that criticized you when you didn't throw a lavish wedding.. I am not talking about material possessions, but rather character. Whatever he had before or after is irrelevant, because Ms Trudy loves him for his personality and character and both seems to understand that nothing else matters. Material gifts are simply the perks that come with it. I replied to your opening statement "a rare gem", because it implies that the vast majority of men do not provide or want the best for the women in their lives and I personally do not believe this is true.
