Hey there Maya and Patience ,thank you soooooo much for the shout out and it really feels like you are my real family. I was even sad that I couldn’t stay longer! That wedding was so amazing and it really made me understand about the traditions we as African Americans didn’t get to experience. But thanks to my family in Ghana it was a dream come true to see, taste and experience a traditional African wedding.It was truly Awesome to see how family and friends came together to participate and to make everything so Beautiful! I know exactly how you feel Maya. I have the same feeling on the day of my wedding. I lost my mother in 1998 and my father in 2015. On the day of my wedding in 2016 my elder sister flew all the way from America to grace my wedding. I pick her up at the airport we cried a little because that was the first time for us to see each other since both of our parents past. So on the day of my wedding I was sitting on the mat in the mosque with my bride to be for the ceremony to begin when I suddenly saw my sister coming into the mosque an uncontrollable emotion just came over me and I started crying 😭 😭. Bridesmaid, my best men and so many were saying oh the bride make him cry, but the reality was they did not know neither I knew what was happening to me. I had to go outside to gather myself and come back in to continue the ceremony. Some time there are things that we could not be able to explain. Congratulations 🎉 again to your sister. Wish her a happy marriage life

My mum passed away 23 years back when I was still a baby and being the only parent I had,and also being the only child.Upto date have never accepted coz I want through alot,and I even can't explain to my kids without shedding tears.i just get too emotional anytime am down,or when someone mentions her.
