ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on UA-cam and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.
Who else got excited when they saw the new video pop up. I was like yes…Cammy’s back! So good to the sheep with no ears and her lambs.
Me too!
Missed watching the Sheep Game daily ❤️🐑❤️
Me too! My daily fix .
Me too, my whole family were watching daily as we had our evening meal it was a lovely little routine while it lasted. We had lamb one day tho and I can't deny I felt a tad guilty lol
You are all so kind!
Was beginning to have Cammy withdrawals....missed you! Joc's driving very well these days!!!
@@TheSheepGame My goodness. I thought Angus was Jock. They are growing so fast.
What a fun video! It had everything, even Lizzie’s mom! Y’all are very busy people! Thanks for taking us along!❤❤❤
MISSED YOU SOOO MUCH! Every video is a proper vlog!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got to see you.. your family.. and Spot! Wow.. Lizzy looks like your baby girl will be here any minute! Thanks for sharing! Love from the USA!!
Did anyone else shimmy their chair to help Cammy get the bike unstuck?
You’ve got to wiggle it 🎶… just a little bit 🎵
Me l9l
I bounced Up and Doon!
I also told him to not sit down, put your weight forward and wiggle😂. Glad I'm not the only one!
I did too. Plus I tried pushing from back and couching on how to get him unstuck. The people at the doctor’s office kept looking at me. The guy sitting next to me started watching adding some additional advice.
I just love how Spot was so confused when the bike was stuck, like : "Dad! You're making all the buggy-going noises & doing the buggy-going things, but how come you don't make the buggy go?"
The Earless Ewe is oddly beautiful without her ears! And her Lambs look amazing, what a fine Lady she is!
I see where lizzy gets her good looks. Mom is beautiful.
I see more of Lizzy's features in both Jock & Angus. Love those blond curls! & their little Wellies! Adorable! Hope all goes well with Lizzy's labour & delivery 🙏💕💕💕💕
Great to see Mrs No Ears still with you doing her thing. 🥰
She needs to be a golden girl ❤
Kudos to Lizzie for still doing lamb stuff while being soo pregnant!
Watching her with Angus took me back a decade or four when I was hugely pregnant with a toddler about his age!
Thanks Cammy, Lizzy is looking ready to go, best of luck to you both and hope it all goes well, sure it will.
One of these days you will be saying, “Jock, can Dad borrow the Moto? “ 😂. Nice to meet Lizzy’s Mom. Hope Lizzy is getting a chance to rest a bit before Baby Girl makes her entrance. ❤
Oh my heart that ewe hovering over her lamby in the race! 🐑 😍
Wasn’t she sweet?
Great video. I’m not sure what was funnier. James face whenever Jock was “driving” or Spot’s face whenever you were getting out of the mud. 🤣😂🤣 so enjoy your videos. Thanks so much for all of your effort.
Proudly wearing my new Sheep Game sweatshirt.
Thank you for buying one 🥰
I'd love if you could talk more about building to flock's genetics and what traits you are looking for. Do you keep all females for breeding or only ones with desirable traits?
Massive triblets baby lambs ❤
Thank god all ended up well after the sh1te few wet months
It was some battle but ye survived ❤❤
Have missed you so much. So good to hear your voice again. The chatter the love for your sheep, how you know them all individually. The humour and the banter.
I missed my daily peek in your lives! Welcome back, happy to see you again!🎉🎉🎉🎉
I agree. Missed your blogs. Nice to see the family interaction with the farm work. Jock is going to be a good driver. Maybe he won't get the 4 wheeler stuck in the mud like someone we saw. With ❤
Love watching the kids driving!
Good to see All of you. Lizzie is looking lovely, any day now.
I’ve missed you. Nearly broke my thumb when the notification came up on my phone 😂
Finally I've been waiting for ages
Welcome back my friend and absolutely another spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage compilation documentary countryside content video .. thanks again Cammy
Thanks you!
spot is such a good boy an so strong to just hang on to that sheep wool
Excellent Cammy. Love watching your work, your family, passion for all. Missed you but hope you had a better time not worrying about having to vlog. Looking forward to seeing more. 👏🐑😍
How cute was that mom soothing her lamb whilst they were penned 🥰. The blogs have been amazing again really look forward to it Thankyou x
Great to see you back Cammie. So we have “ the hills are alive” and “don’t look back In anger ”😂😂😂😂😂😂then you go and get STUCK !!!!! Great driving from Jock. He knows what he has to do dad,it’s OK. 😂😂😂😂😂😂my God, Lizzie is carved out of her Mam. Beautiful.all hands on deck I see Cammie. Oh my goodness 105 sets of triplets. Wonderful. See you all next time.
Thanks 😁
Nice to see sunny weather! Lizzie is fabulous as ever, no idea where she gets her energy from.
We have been dagging, banding and dosing today. It was hot work on such a nice sunny day in Lincoln. We had a few with maggots already.
Absolutely BEGGING for a compilation video of your singing.
😂
@TheHoofGP was wearing your merch in his last video.
He’s a nice boy!
MISSED YOU THE BOYS AND LIZZY HOPE ALL WELL
The hills are alive with the sounds of lambing 🎹🎵. We need an album Cammy or a songbook. Or a tee shirt with the words of the song. You can do this! Lizzy, if you read this I need that on a coffee cup too.
Welcome back! Lizzy, ya look beautiful.
What a fantastic dog! Thank you so much for the video.
I think the star of this lambing is SPOT He's certainly matured. How did you train him to bring the ewes down for you?
I am in awe of your journey, Cammy! THANK YOU so much for bringing us along. I pray it never ends ❤
Mom sure looks like Lizzie! Baby sister looks close to joining this lovely family. Lizzie you are a rock star for working now!!
That one big sheep with the striped face was limping
Definitely
Yeah we’ve a few feet issues just now. Working to get it eradicated. 😩
Welcome back, guys. I hope you had some rest .Great video, cammy 👍 loved jock driving the mule 😂 what a boy
Gorgeous end to your triplets! Thank you for sharing this beautiful time of your lives. God bless you and yours!
I was so used to daily videos I was a bit worried you weren’t on. Obviously everyone is well and busy! Great video!
Another wonderful video. Jock driving on the field was excellent! Well done oor wee Jock! Here’s to the next one! Glad you had a couple of days rest, you needed the break Cammy. 😊 Lizzie, you are looking wonderful but I bet you can’t wait to have your little miss. Your coat hid just how big your baby bump is getting. It was lovely to see your mum and aye… you’re her carbon copy (you’ll be tired of being told that I guess). As a viewer, I feel very spoiled and thank @The Sheep Game for that ❤ x
I'm HAPPY to see you back!!
What was the girl with no ears second lamb? Girl or another boy? X
Girl 👏🏻. I’ll try mark her so we can follow her journey.
Jockie driving had me chuckling away, ‘the man’. 🇳🇿
When is Lizzy due ? I’m absolutely amazed at how much she is contributing to the work . A huge help
At this stage in her pregnancy
If I remember right, May 27
Always better to take away too much wool than not enough and end up with nasty results!
Favorite ewe needs to be named pearl or queenie! And lizzy best of luck with the birth you can't have long left now!! You are beautifully huge!!
Thank god you’re back! I was going through withdrawals. 😂
It’s crazy how fast the lambs have grown - they are so big now!
Welcome back, we’ve missed you all, an that includes the humans 😉🤣
I've said that, were I to raise commercial sheep, I would only save twins, no singles and no triplets or more. My first sheep were from that type of stock. That tendency to have twins can be bred into them. You can breed for any other goal AND twinning.
I'm glad to see that you kept that one ewe. You don't have the option for saving ewe lambs this year, but maybe next year you could. I think breeding for longevity in your ewes has long term value. Less mastitis, fewer lambing issues, etc.
Love watching your vids.
A great trait to breed from. Totally agree😁
Is Lizzie's mom here for the birth of your little princess? So wonderful for her, if so! Not that you're not all she needs, Cammy! Moms are a wonderful help after the baby is born! For both of you!
She’s just here for a couple days this week so likely to miss it 😊
Cammie, if you were to take a week off youtube, we would understand!!
When your done with lamning, kan you do a special on spot (Spock!) the Hero!
Loved the driving ❤❤😂😂 .. whole video was a blast .. its all down hill from here n jock driving like a champ 😅
Oh wow! I can't believe how much I've missed seeing you daily!! Lambing is my favorite time of year!!
Great to see auld Luggless still doing you proud!👌🏻 Looking forward to Ayr show. All the best!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
And where I live thats called a good time mud bogging😂
The kids are priceless. I want that childhood driving the ATV, birthing sheep, all of it. Awesome family. Such kind, fun and smart little ones. I love beautiful no ears with twins, lovely mother, Greetings down the road from Sandi..well 4 hours away, which is a short drive across the field in Ontario. We need a song album Cammy 😂❤
Six shepherds in one buggy. 😆
I love your channel, it brings me so much joy.
I grew up on a sheep farm, though much smaller than yours, it still brings back so many fond memories working with my grandpa lambing and caring for the sheep❤
Thank you Cammy😊
Same here! So appreciated, Cammy.
Lizzie is glorious in her pregnancy! What an amazing team you are.
Thank you The Sheep Game.
Thank you so much! Very kind!
Great video Cammy 👍🐑, It was nice to see the no eared Cheviot lamb, in some of your future videos could you show how you tackle orf on your farm with such a large number of sheep
Jock really takes after his Mum in looks!
I’ve missed the sheep game. Been feeling a little down and you had me laughing in no time. Loved the kids all piled on the cfmoto with Jock driving. And when you got stuck…I was leaning forward to help you along. Another great video.
Glad you enjoyed. Stay strong 💪🏻😊
The lambs although all different sizes look well
I know the last 3-6 months have been so wet but now the better weather is ahead
🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴❤️❤️❤️😃👍
Thanks!
Good to get our fix of Sheep Game again! ... Possible idea for a video/vlog? A video about types of shears/clippers and how you choose combs etc getting ready for the shearing season. Is it different for different breeds/types of wool etc? - a bit of an explainer would be great!! We've only a handful of sheep (10 Pedigree Balwens) and thinking of shearing ourselves. Is there a cordless you'd recommend? Many thanks! Keep at it!! 🙂👍🐑🐑
Have a good scroll back Chris. I believe they have done a video on sharpening combs, which ones they use and the cordless and corded versions of machines. It is a bit buried in the shearing competition videos from memory.
Great too have you back. You've been missed. Great too see all the different jobs on the go.
Forgot your gloves again, eh Cammy. It is really neat watching you sheer them. They are a noisy bunch aren't they? ❤️🤍🐑 love from Canada to you and MrsCammy and your boys, x
So, do you leave the wool that you crutch? I bet birds would love it for a nest.
'Our special girl is lambing' Not Lizzy then? 🙃😉
Not yet🤣
Love you videos keep them up
Lovely video 🤩🤩... great to see everyone 😊
Nice to see you finished washing the buggy 👌
you can see your address at 12 21 cammy !!!!!
Oh Lizzie you’re looking absolutely beautiful! Loved the video, you gave us a bit of everything. Hello to Lizzie’s mum! Hugs to the boys!❤❤
I missed you these past few days so I watched some older videos.
It's so great to see you back again! We missed you, but I hope that you got some rest, and enjoyed the change of pace for a couple of days. Very best wishes to you, Lizzy, your boys and your moms as you await your own wee ewe lamb! She's a blessed little girl arriving into such a loving family. Thank you for sharing all the beauty in your life with us.❤
I'm wondering whether the gap in vlogs might be due to Lizzy giving birth to your third babe? I hope & pray all is well & healthy in the Wilson family! 🙏💕💕
2nd lol - sorry to have missed seeing you during my UK/France trip last week. I did meet with Will at Cowley hill farm and really enjoyed seeing the sheep and lambs. Beautiful area.
He’s much better than me anyway😁. Give me a shout next visit!
@@TheSheepGame LOL We had a lovely visit, really learned a lot ! Hopefully we can time a visit better when I come back. I know this lambing with the new baby coming has got you and Lizzy really busy.
Spot is learning to be an excellent catch dog
I was so excited to see you again that I forgot to thank you for mentioning your policy and reminding Melissa about "no swear words ". I really appreciate that. We cut you some slack while you were sleep deprived and working all hours, and even using your Ayershire accent a lot (which I love to hear, by the way!). We appreciate your work and your efforts to keep your vlog family friendly.❤❤
Are you hoping to get more Cheviots?
Probably not. Probably keep all the ewe lambs and keep breeding with them. Try and close the flock.
I miss you all so much, it looks like your wife has dropped, a little girl soon. Your video was great............
Missed you all, so glad to have you back !
Glad you are back! I hope you had a good break! It has been fun to see how much some lambs have grown.
And THANK you for showing your "Delta" no ears girl with her two lambs from this year!
Thank you! Glad to be back at it!
Cammy, are you able to sell your fleeces? I do hope so! England used to be rich because of its wool cloth. Natural, sustainable fibres are on trend again. Expensive but worth it!💕💕
We do sell the fleeces when we full shear. These dirty tails just go in the landfill 👍
Do you have a compost pile? Alberta farmers include wool as crop fertilizer ❤
I absolutely love seeing the lambs wiggling their tails while nursing.
Lizzie- thinking about you as you grow closer to your time.
Best wishes from Alabama, USA
A boy Cammy another good video 👍.
Can't believe you bogged the quad in fields you drive in on a daily basis 😂😂.
Lizzy looks just like her mother.
Agree with you regarding cleaning up their back end, take off loads. It will be big help towards maggot prevention & the fleece is worthless anyway so no point worrying about it.
Glad to see you back love seeing marissa helping ❤
Was that a tear at the top of the cervix @3:50? Oh, I hope not. Do you carry lubricant, Cammy? 💕💕
They sometime get a small tear of the outer skin. They heal themselves very quickly.
Wonderful to see another vlog I was starting to get withdrawals 😊
Hope you enjoyed it!
Cammy I missed seeing you and your beautiful family!! Thank you for sharing so much with us. Blessings from West Virginia, USA
Thank you!
Sorry to ask, but I'm new to this channel, when is your baby due?
The boys are a real credit to you both.
From what has been said, any day now Valerie 😊
May 27
❤Spot is AMAZING❤
I need to look some sheep stats - life expectancy (6 years is old?!), gestation period, etc.
Gestation 152 days, life expectancy over 8 years, 8 years is old. 6 years is getting old for breeding but still fine. 🇳🇿
So glad your back Cammie I've missed you and was starting to get a bit worried about you all 💖💖
