Seth, don't sell yourself short - the podcast wouldn't be the same without you. You are definitely part of the reason people watch. Cheers!

Sounds like a great place to work. When is Hornady going to start making primers? Would love to see that

These are the 2 clowns that almost ruined 75 years of history by attempting to mandate the poke on all their employees. Good thing they caved into pressure from their customers.

The electric trolling motor was invented by O.G. Schmidt in 1934 in North Dakota. He took a starter motor from a Ford Model A, added a flexible shaft and a propeller, and voilà! The trolling motor was born. When he mounted the small motor on a boat it was instantly clear that this was a game changer. It didn’t take long for anglers around the world to discover the benefits of the trolling motor and production demands skyrocketed as it quickly became a standard on most all fishing boats. The company he started still manufactures some of the world’s best trolling motors to this day.

Just wanted to give a big thank you to one of your tech guys Shannon. He could not have more helpful fixing a self inflicted problem with on line order of 11th edition. It is employees like him that get me to grab a box of Hornady instead Sierra or Nosler. Thanks again Shannon.

Love these stories of how a business became what we know it today. Talk to any small business owner who has been successful at some level and their is always a similar story. I know because I have my own story about my own business. Small business owners are the reason this country has changed the world. Hornaday is just one very good one of many. Congrats.

Interesting dynamics in this podcast. Let’s just say, I recognize a strong personality when I see one. A lot of people want to criticize Hornady for their innovation, marketing and drive, but that’s the way to compete and grow in this environment. Congrats to 75 years and many, many more.

I worked for a family company for 40 yrs, also worked union and non-union jobs before that, it was great to be able to walk into the owners office if need be with ieas or issues, had to have your ducks in a row, but, they welcomed input, and they were not scared to invest back in the business and employees, and they made efforts to keep employees in the downturns and reward them when things were good. That is an environment that is a statement in itself. Lots of things they did for employees they didn't have to do, it was appreciated, lots of long term employees and a get'er done attitude.
