I too have this doubt, but I imagine 13 yrs old so rebelious thoughts + probably got a lot of those ideas imported into her mind by her mom and op's cousin, its not out of the possibilities that she would feel that way, especially considering that seemingly she is quite spoiled when she was young
To be fair she was rebellious, hormonal and probably being told things by her adult father that probably kept allowing her to think things.
