- We take you on a tour of Nassau Bahamas in this third episode of our Serenade of the Seas Cruise series. See what Nassau Bahamas looks like in November of 2021 as we visit on our 5-day Serenade of the seas Cruise.
Our day in Nassau starts when the Serenade of the Seas ports around 7 AM. After enjoying a sunrise from the ship, we grab breakfast and make our way off the ship and into the city. From there, we do some exploring, grab a few drinks, visit the beach, and finish the day off with an amazing dinner.

Yay Nassau! It has been nearly 13 years since the last time I have been there! Thanks for taking us along with you. $13 for a drink is crazy expensive, wow, glad you found a place with drinks at a more reasonable price later. Glad you found really good spots to drink in between walking all over the town. Can't wait to go on a cruise again!
Wow, I bet it's changed a lot since 13 years ago. You probably need to go back!😄 Yeah, we could not bring ourselves to pay $13 for a drink on the ship. So expensive! We were glad to find much more reasonably priced drinks in Nassau!

I haven't been to Nassau yet - but it looks like a beautiful spot. We were supposed to go in February on our cruise, but that's sadly not happening. I would have loved to get the strongest drink on the beach and stop at the brewery. Very cool that it's the only one in the Bahamas. The walk back to the ship and the sunset sail away is making me have such the travel bug.
We're so thankful that we were able to get on this ship when we did and also get off at both of our ports. We just recently heard that all cruises on the Serenade of the Seas have been cancelled until March, so we were pretty close to not getting to go. We hope that you guys are able to get on a cruise sooner than later!
We've never visited Nassau, but it looks like a great place! Michael worked in the Caribbean for a little while and always talks fondly of the region. Seems like a great place to be! Eager to see more of your cruise experiences, great job with your editing and putting this video together! 😊

If you ever have occasion to be in Nassau again, the British Colonial Hilton sells a day pass to their private beach which buys access to the beach and amenities and a food and beverage credit. It's not much further down from the Senor Frog's place.

Looks like getting off the ship was worth it! We would totally also get off the ship to explore. You guys always find the best bars. $13 for a drink on the ship?! That's so expensive. No wonder you went searching for some cheaper options in Nassau. We would totally try the B*tch Slap haha. Overall looks like a great day exploring!
Yeah we had a really hard time getting comfortable with $13 for a drink. We are used to paying less than that for our meals when we go out! It was a bit bizarre experiencing Nassau without the crowds of tourists, just like on the ship, we really enjoyed all of the extra room to roam around!
That would be great to explore when it's so empty. We've always stayed on the ship while in port there.
Yeah it was a bit of a strange feeling but it was quite nice not having to deal with any crowds. We really enjoy Nassau and find it to be pretty laid back once you get a few blocks away from the port.

Yeah, it was about a close to a perfect day as you can get! Not exactly sure what was in the B-slap. Definitely fresh juices and a LOT of rum, but I have not idea the exact types and/or amounts of either.

Yeah, apparently most others aren't looking for it either, as the brewery was not very busy. Then again, most of the places we visited were quite empty.
Have you two ever heard of The Soggy Dollar in Yost Van Dyke ??? There is a live webcam online to check them out. You have to get a boat ride there and swim to the shore..hence the "soggy dollars" It looks amazing too ! If you do go ,Im going with ya'all ! lol !...Its 3 degrees in Buffalo NY tonight ! HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have heard of it, Deb, and it's on our list of places to visit. We've been to Tortola before but really want to get to Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda. Hopefully we'll make it happen this year! And from what I"ve heard the Soggy Dollar is the home of the original Painkiller, which happens to be my favorite cocktail. 3 degrees is about 60 degrees too cold for us! But hey only a couple more months of cold to go, right?!

Although I never got to stop in Nassau when working on cruise ships, I recognize the Senior Frogs and Magaritaville brands 🥺😍 we always made sure to grab some cocktails at one of those places 😅

We sure wish we knew when things would get back to normal! We have so many places we want to go but just can't pull the trigger on any of them with so much uncertainty out there still. Yeah, it seems like you can find Senor Frogs & Margaritavilles near almost every cruise port in the Caribbean. They are always a lot of fun and often a pretty wild atmosphere! Even though a few places were closed, there were still plenty that were open and that we were happy to give our business to!

The one thing that deters me from cruises is the tendering system to get to the different day stops. However it's great to see for this stop, you walked straight off the boat onto the shore with no problems.
I have never heard of Nassau but that beautiful blue water and amazing white sandy beaches looked superb. Although I wasn't expecting you the short note to say bring waterproof shoes - It really didn't look like you needed them!
More tiki bars and this B%tch slap drink would certainly be on my menu.... Do you many of the ingredients, or al least the main alcohol content ? Kind of looked liked a long island ice tea, but slightly different colour
I just can't get over how less of people you had there - Especially with 3 cruise ships docking at the same time. On one hand, it would be amazing, on the other hand, it's a little sad and they must be doing it tough with the lack of tourism!

Yeah the shoe recommendation was more for if you plan on walking in the water. Most of the beach rock free, but once you got in the water, there were a lot of rocks and some of them were sharp! I have no idea what's in the bitch slap, and I'm not sure they would have told me if I had asked 😄. I should have though. We felt the same about the lack of people. It's pretty nice to have so much space for yourself, but terrible to think of how much the people are suffering when their economy relies so heavily on tourism.

@@Zickcermacity that's the whole reason why we drink during the day, so we can still be up by 6:30 the next morning 😆. But in all seriousness, we agree that it's important to be able to enjoy life without the "suds-colored glasses", and on most days we do just that.
