I was raised Catholic, watching you and your family could make me convert! You are a joy to follow. Where I live, I rarely see Mennonites, so rare I can't remember the last time I saw one. Watching your channel has broadened my awareness about others raised outside of my own faith. Thank you for sharing your life and faith with this community.
I'm also catholic and I can understand why you feel that way. We have lost our sense of community in this world. I hope you find a community of faith, don't leave the Church, turn to Jesus in the sacraments.

It was fun to see what you did in Florida. One day you blink and they are all out of the house. My mom used to say when you travel with children you take your work with you. I’m not sorry for one trip we took with our children.

I had 4 children the same ages as you! I think for two years I just sat on the floor and sleep was non existent! Just know that this too shall pass. Love your time with Lynette!

We never could afford a vacation when our kids were young. Later, I would drive from IL to northern WA state with just my kids to visit my parents ( cheap vacation ) Hubby stayed home and and kept

We were in Sarasota the same week as you and did many of the same things you did, I would have been so excited had I bumped into you! We loved Jungle Gardens and Siesta Key, downtown Sarasota, Lido Beach, Dolphins and Donuts Cruise and much more. It was Paradise! I am a daughter of Jesus too and love it when you post the singing in your church on Sunday mornings. The music is heartwarming. (I go to Valley Forge Baptist) God Bless you and your sweet family!

I hear you on vacations with kids being stressful! I always come home needing a break! Our family vacations are to visit my in laws in SC, so having built-in babysitters definitely helps, as does the fact that my kids are bigger now! Still, while the change of pace is lovely, the mental load of preparing and being out of your own space is real. ❤
I traveled way more having kids than before kids and it was never stressful, but very fun. I love that my older kids have such a fondness in their memories of travels. It is only stressful if you allow yourself to give into frustration or expect something that doesn't happen the way you want it to. Otherwise it is very lovely! They learn so much from trips together.
I think parents need to lower their expectations when they take them on vacation! You can’t expect kids to act the same as they do at home on vacation. Loosen some of the rules a bit. Let some things go. You will enjoy your time more. Of course you want kids to behave but things like eating ice cream before dinner? You are on vacation so let them do it. Let them eat the way they want. Once you get bqck home then you can make them at their veggies!

My husband laughs at me, in February we went to dinner near pine craft, and I said , maybe we will run into Lynette! I live in south Florida and moved from Georgia last year. My husband’s work moved us down here. It took me a good min to actually drive around here. They definitely don’t know how to drive down here 😂 he was down in homestead for work and I had to go to the store. So, that was so much fun 😂😂

Vacation with kids is more of a relocation. As a parent you still have the same task. But it is nice to relocate the kids for a bit. Enjoy some different sites. But relaxing as the parent doesn’t exist. Glad you had a good time.

My husband and I winter in Naples, FL and last week we took a ride up to St Armand's. We've eaten at Daiquiri Deck before but this time we ate at Columbia. It's fun to eat and walk around.

I miss the beach. It's been a few years for us. We camped on Assategue Island in Maryland with our kids ( I recommend for older kids as the wild horses can get up close at the campsite sometimes) . A very close walk to the beach and the wild horses made it memorable for sure!
Sarasota is one of my favorite places to visit! I miss it so much. Good memories there.

I just saw the UA-camr in the Tesla cyber truck today on Fruitville Road! The bullet holes in the side were incredible. It would have been amazing to see you and your family while you were here. Yes I love PDQ and First Watch! My brother lives in Florida a little north of Sarasota and when I visit I look forward to that. The food down there is so good and different from up here (I'm also from PA) I'm noting about going in spring too, I typically liked visiting in January, it gave a nice break from winter.

Wow I can't believe you guys drove all the way from Lititz to Sarasota straight thru. We drive Pitts to Sarasota of ten and it takes us at least 2 days.The difference - you are young & we are old, but boy, doing that with little kids .....

We did our baby moon in Sarasota, Lido Key back in January. Beautiful. We loved the French cafe in downtown Sarasota. I can see why people want to live in FL. I hope this brightened up your month after your family illness. (Also Bonne Maman has a new Nutella without high fructose corn syrup and palm oil! It’s in the jelly section of Giant)
