    Thanks for the update and keep doing what you do. In my opinion, the recession has already happened last year. The Labor data is completely nonsensical due to pandemic lockdowns and people figuring out how to survive without working the same way they have historically. So much money on the sidelines matching up with the last year of pain will drive equity markets higher, People are starting to realize the value of their equity of choice is too good to pass up. For me, that is BTC and ETH. If they hold above the Bull Market support band, (currently is) over the next few weeks everyone's view will flip bullish.

    Slow declutter is good, just start. I started decluttering in 2020. I still do it until now, because there's season in your life that some things are useful and some are not.

      Yeh, I did a declutter challenge in Feb and I’ll go again in April. Two very young children do not harvest a healthy, intentional life philosophy! This is the main problem with self help podcasts and comments like - “do the hard things now and the future becomes easier”. It’s overly simplistic for family life with young kids.

    As a dad with a seasoned intentionality philosophy, I really enjoyed this back to basics view. I do regular 30 day declutter challenges, usually several times a year, but I have two young kids who are, funnily enough, less intentional in their day to day exploration of the world. The challenge with so many platforms talking through minimalism is that it’s very uncommon to hear from minimalist or intentionalist parents. Terms like - choose an easy life now and you get a harder life later - is difficult for parents of two or three young children, potentially ladened with guilt, to get the intended inspiration from. For me, I think it’s a highly challenging world to get into as a newbie. It probably took me three years to really jump into it and the reason I knew it was right for me wasn’t the minimalist aesthetic (which I prefer), it wasn’t the matter of simply managing fewer things and it wasn’t even the fact it allowed me to get closer to my core life values, it was the simple feeling I got from the message. I felt lighter, I felt more purposeful, I felt more at peace and I felt like I was a more reliable parent to my kids.

    I gifted over 10 pairs of heels that I've held onto for years...several had never been worn as they hurt my toes (FYI....maybe don't buy shoes online and forget to try them on and return if they don't fit) 🤦
    I'm off to release more sections after work.

    “The problem is not materialism as such. Rather, it is the underlying assumption that full satisfaction can arise from gratifying the senses alone. Unlike animals whose quest for happiness is restricted to survival and to the immediate gratification of sensory desires, we human beings have the capacity to experience happiness at a deeper level which, when achieved, can overwhelm unhappy experiences.”

    I dont believe the stat that the average household has 300,000 things. How would anyone even get data on that.
    I own probably less than 300 things and altough i think i own very little, i think there would be a lot of people with less.
    On another note, i really dont understand people that can not / find it hard to declutter. Clutter sucks. Why do people hold onto things. Everytime i hear that people struggle with decluttering, i think of that scene from Jim Henson's Labyrinth with the hoarding monsters covered in junk.

    Hi MINIMALISTS:
    What happened to you leaving social media (& UA-cam?) for the rest of 2024? In fact: Why am I seeing 😮this? Was the last episode click bait? Where’s your integrity your word?

      @EternalLifeLessons 2 місяці тому

      @@heathero2l possibly so… However, if you review the episode there was emphasis on UA-cam stating , they were not monetized, and were giving it up.
      I can’t stand two faced hypocrites that can’t abide by their own standards.
      How are we to know they aren’t truly monetized? Tell me: Is there proof?
      I’m likely unsubscribing. They won’t care. Believe it.
