VoicePlay's lineup definitely can get confusing. Here's a quick rundown, starting from oldest lineup (on UA-cam; VoicePlay has been around in various forms since 1997): Layne Stein (vocal percussion, baritone. original member), Geoff Castellucci (bass, original member), Earl Elkins Jr. (big guy, sometimes with a full beard, high tenor; he left the group in 2020 for personal reasons), Tony Wakim (baritone; fantastic eyes; he was with VoicePlay during their time on the Sing Off, and left the group sometime after that. Co-owns Pattycake Productions with Layne.) and Eli Jacobson (bald tenor, been with VoicePlay since around 2010, I think- but don't quote that date.). After Tony left, he was replaced by baritone J. None, who later left the group in 2021 to join the Navy. Cesar De La Rosa replaced J. None, but a permanent replacement for Earl has not yet been found, which is why VoicePlay features so many artists to round out their number. The lady in this video is Honey LaRochelle, who also sang with them during their time competing on the Sing Off.
This is way back when they were on The Sing-Off. Earl &Tony were still in the group. They needed 5 people for the show so invited the lady to the group.
Whenever Home Free does a funny video to one of their songs you can count on Austin and Tim going all out on costumes, and Austin going full Broadway. Tim often just stands there. A good example of this is the Sea Shanty Medley.
This video was set up when both groups were at the Sing-Off. Sing-Off insisted that they have a female addition. They asked Rachel Potter but she was booked on the X-factor so they got Honey Larochelle. She has done a few songs with Voice-Play (really good in Play That Funky Music). The original VoicePlay was created about 25 yrs in their high school years. After school ended, one went to Broadway and the other went to Hollywood (Lucifer and Friday Night Lights - Scott Porter who came back for the Halo theme done by VoicePlay.) That left 3 of the original members - Geoff, Layne and Earl. They needed a beatboxer and Layne wanted to do that, so he took over with some instructions from Geoff (totally outclassed now), so the band needed a baritone and a tenor 2, eventually landing Tony Wakim (now the co-owner of Pattycake Studios with Layne) and Eli (rhymes with jelly) as Tenor 2. They toured, got on cruise ships, the Sing-Off, Tony wanted into the production end which is how he got Pattycake Studios. Earl left for personal reasons, and Eli moved into tenor 1. That left them down two and they needed another baritone and eventually settled on J None who was with them for a few years but got recruited into the US Navy for 5 yrs. He said he'd be back and as his leave comes up, he's back and doing some videos (Friends on the Other Side, Nothing Else Matters and Valhalla Calling are the big ones). VoicePlay recruited Cesar De La Rosa as a baritenor (great range) and have settled on bringing on some fabulous guest vocalists. We'll see if J None comes back full-time in 3 yrs.
When Home Free won the SingOff, they were contractually required to go on a winner's tour. The producers invited two groups to tour with Home Free,. VoicePlay and Filharmonic. All three groups performed Hallelujah together on the tour and they also sang with VoicePlay vs Filharmonic (Tim Foust channels his Nick Lachey in that video) and Home Free vs Filharmonic.

Rachelle Potter has been singing with them for many years, on and off. The oldest I can think of is Phantom of the Opera in 2015, and the most recent is The Showman, the last day of 2021. And there are 2-3 others that pop up repeatedly ...
Basically Home Free have only changed one member since their start. Voiceplay has changed about 6 since their start. The 2 that have stayed from day one is Geoff, the bass and Layne the beatboxer.

lol, where Geoff finished that "Keep on surviving" was only a G2... two half-steps lower than an average baritone's lowest note.
