I have owned the 2024 gun metallic performance model for 3 weeks., the 4th Z Car we've owned. Giving a review doesn't require condescending comments. This sports car makes me smile. Nissan should be applauded, not criticized.
I just test drove this exact Spec and my reaction was the same. It put a smile on my face. I have a 2011 Eclipse and coming from that car to this is a huge difference. Need to test drive a Supra first before making my final purchase decision.
@@timsgta - Bay Area, California. The Z was under a tent, they even had another black one sitting outside and it was super dirty from sitting. The only one they had in the showroom was the Nismo. As for the Supra, you are right that they are in show rooms mostly but used ones not always.
I dont care what people say, this car calls to me and I own a 23 Cayman T. I love the design, I really wish it had a T-Top. It looks great! It might also be that my folks had a 280 Z at one point and it just makes me feel nostalgic. I'd have one in Rosewood Metallic.
Good morning sir, it’s your optician, you are over due for your eye test, please contact Specs saver urgently for next appointment. Your glasses will require changing as well. Thanks from Specs save!
I think they nailed the design here. It's fantastic in person. If you drive one, you will likely buy one. I drove a Supra, a Mustang GT and two Z cars back to back. The Z was my favorite.
0-60 4.3 seconds. It’s fast man…very fast. The updated Nissmo has another 20 HP. The performance package and the extras will make this car girl 65 to 75 thousand. The twin turbo and the torque is substantial. The guy who owns my dealership bought a silver one…it’s nuts. I am a big fan. Funny thing its just sitting here he hasn’t bothered to pick it up. We are getting a Nissmo in a week and I will do a review and post it.
Dude! Your car reviews are incredible. The camera angles and specific details you provide make these videos better than some of UA-cam’s most popular creators in the business. Love the work, keep it up!
Just not worth the price tag. Only seen one since its debut just a week ago, not a good sign. Looked decent, but not worth the price tag. Just buy a daily now, then one of these used if it’s a good price.
Can people start addressing the issues with the engine? This shares the engine in the newer infiniti q60-q50 which have been having turbo and engine block issues since 2017. Would love for that to get talked about more so the issues can be addressed in the new z. People already having the issue in the new z😬
Has this car been a failure for Nissan? I had a 2006 NISMO Z. Loved that car. And I really like the new Z, but I have yet to see one of these on the street. I see more Ferrari's and Lamborghini's. As well, When the Protospec came out I saw dealers trying to sell them for 70 grand. I've seen them now used with less than 10,000 miles for $40K.
I think supply is relatively limited on the base model, and the car market is slowing down. Tons of Performance models in my area are just sitting on lots.
Just bought brand new '24 Z Performance for $48,525 (it's $8,000 off sticker)! Car is much better then videos reviews telling us! Engine sound - off the hook! Love it! Shop around for big discount.
This is how Nissan should’ve done the 350Z. Performance factors are practically secondary to how well the look and feel of this car captured the original 240Z spirit.
nissan keeps relaying on nostalgia, and is hurting a lot, the look of the nissan z will always be top tier, but everything else is already looking extremely old, and many sport cars already have much better things for extremely cheaper prices
Last year, dealers were marking them up by quite a bit. This year the car market is slowing but I still barely got a sport model at MSRP. Nissan dealerships in particular are hurting - I have heard a few people say they got one lower than MSRP.
Problem is the price. Dealer markups hurt this car so much. The appeal for these cars back in the day was that they were cheap and the platform was easily tunable.
I owned a 350z in Solar Orange back in 2007 and I loved that car but it really wasn't made for where I lived in NY especially in the winter. I eventually moved onto WRX/STi's but have fell out of the sports car scene the past 5 years. I'm looking for something sporty these days and this car is REALLY growing on me. Especially since these are now 400hp Twin turbo compared to my 2007 350 which made 300hp if I was lucky but damn did it miss out on torque. The Heritage in that Orange is sooo sexy tho.
I'm looking for a Mazda MX5 (Miata) replacement, since they have decided to stop supporting a hardtop convertible. Any comments? I really like the nimbleness of the MX5, but if I can't have a true convertible I am open to other options.
I bought a diamond black sport model with a stick. I absolutely love the thing. Luckily Z1 sells an LSD that just pops into the oem pumpkin so thats going to be my first mod. 2nd will be exhaust lol.
At first I was looking at a z but the supra ended up coming out on top and I'm VERY happy with my decision. There just isn't enough draw with this car and the accessibility/dealers make it that much less desirable
Drove the supra and Z, liked them both. Would take the Z though; alot cheaper (where i am), better visibility, you can drive with the windows down (supra wind noise with windows down is unbearable) and you get alot more feedback on the back and rear than the supra. Supra hp is underrated and will beat the Z in any race, but you would expect that with the price.
I test drove both the Supra and the Z, and just could not get over the coffin feel of the Supra's interior. It has about 40% less visibility and you feel like you are buried in it. I'm 6'4, and I've never felt like that in any car in my entire life. Not only that, the Supra is louder and rougher on the highway. The electronic e-break is lame, interior is way too BMW-y and the exterior fake vents are cringe. All that being said, if it's going to be your secondary car/track car the Supra is probably still the best choice. If you want a daily driver, I think you will deeply regret the Supra.
All the complaining streamers paid more than 80k for this car when now it’s only $40k for base and and up at our dealerships in California. I still plan on buying this car 😊.
It’s such a beautiful car, it’s just too bad Nissan didn’t have the development money to make it great. Seems like driving at 7/10 ths it would be OK but it’s not a car to be driven flat out. If they just would have started with an all new chassis things would have been golden and they could have progressed from there. But at least it exists. 💁♂️
I hate how car guys think a performance car should be loud lmao, nobody likes a loud car in a quiet neighborhood. Second, if you want a loud car you should get a muscle car, not a performance car. I’d much rather have a silent killer on the road then a loud machine that sounds fast but gets dusted by a sleeper Honda hatchback…talk about embarrassing lol. Great review though, just don’t think a car should be loud unless it’s a super car or muscle car, that’s just funny to me.
You're wrong to assume it's one extreme or the other. Many performance cars are plenty quiet cruising through a neighborhood but give you the volume you want when you step on it. And tone matters as much as volume. By all means keep the Honda quiet because those fart cans sound terrible.
I don't like the plastic fabric "polysuede" on the seats which absorbs the sweat of the last owner and smells. Leather is a far superior and cleanable seat.
Looks just like 300z or a BRZ. Looks like great car except. The design is old and boring for a sports car. Looks like a family car. Need someone like Mazda to carve out a new clay body. Add space for luggage or golf clubs. Lower the price. It’s not competitive.
Terrible front, mehhh performance, ugly and cheap interior, parts bincar with a premium price. The engine is over a decade old. The chassis even older. Transmission is trash. Why is it good news that the manual costs the same as the auto?? The manual should be cheaper.
Not anymore. It’s called scale. They make millions less manual transmissions so each one costs more to make.
But the Mustangs are boring as hell! Who cares if they are cheaper. I’ve had many Nissans for many years and I will always prefer Nissan.
Wtf?! Mustangs are not "boring"! Now if you're talking about the Nismo GT-R. Then there's a discussion.

The blue interior is hot! But I would like grey exterior for blue interior.
supra understates horsepower and Z overstates it. Z doesnt put down 400hp to the wheels, more like 379ish. and Supra puts down 388hp to the wheels.
