Good stuff - I also recently converted the rest of my fleet over to LokSound so everything works well together. The LokProrammer has greatly improved my enjoyment of the hobby and saved me from CV hell lol.
It took me 2 years but I was finally switched all my loco to ESU. I sold all my Soundtraxx locos and replaced with Dcc ready and yes it was not cost friendly but I’m so much happier with the ease of putting consists together.
I would live in the train room. My bed would be elevated for railroad view. Trains would run 24/7. In the dark of night engine lights would be my twinkling stars. The distant roar of prime movers and the whine of dynamics my lullaby. Oh rapture unbearable!
You will really enjoy the Lok Programmer! I get so much use out of mine! I am also an advocate for having all DCC decoders on one brand. Makes things easier for sure. Love watching your weekly progress! Keep up the good work Sir!
Very nice layout. A mixer with plastic pellet, some flats and bulkhead with plate steel and some open coil cars with 2 or 3 coils would add some variety.
Self-taught a long time ago when I taught middle school in the 80s. Principal and I thought it would be good to teach to teach computers to the students. Was a lot of fun. I went on to a long career as a principal and never pursued further computer languages.
Hi Darryl & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Darryl & Friends Randy & Hello Darryl & Merry Christmas & Happy New Year's & The Best in The New Year's 2025
How do you like the BLI unit? I believe they are more expensive than ScaleTrains or Athearn Genesis but have less detail. Or at least no see through radiator grills. Seems like that would be standard at the price point.
This unit was $10 less than an Athearn Genesis. Was $200 at Lombard Hobbies. I had to install a drop in decoder, but it had nice speakers installed. It runs quite well but has a little less detail than a Genesis. I like it.
Lombard has a garbage return policy for decoders. Even if packaging is sealed, you cannot return a decoder. That is a policy that conned me out of $200 and I'm never going to buy from them again.
Dude, this is better than scenery or ballasting! This coding and programming is hugely important! Fantastic!
Thanks
It's looking great Darrell. I love those bridges.
Thanks!
I love your railroad Darryl I’m so happy for you
Me too 😁
That double bridge looks awsome as well as the surroundings very nice work

Great update! Loving this build series and a great inspiration.
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it.
Seeing you go all ESU is amazing! I really hope it treats you well! I love programming locomotives and messing with the programmer.

That’s a great dream! I do plan to have night running sessions from time to time.
Excellent work, Darryl!! Keep up the good work!
Thank you kindly!
Look at that Belle on the point 😮😊

Yes, loaded gondolas are very cool. But it's not unusual to see a string of empty gons.
Great video! Great train!
Thanks! It's been a fun project.
yes, i can understand you, easier to have only one brand of decoder
that's why i make up my consists with only one type of decoder
QBasic? Wow... I didn't think anyone knew that anymore. 😆

@@EvanstonSub Good to know, more reason for me to try one out!
ESU seems to be a much better and easier system to work with. I love the lok sound programmer and they sound better too good decision!
I agree

Sorry to hear that. Did you try sending them back to the manufacturer? Or try selling them on HOSwap on groups.io?
