Well, my record in solving these "pause the video" moments is that I'm not good enough to be an uncle, but should be given the grandmaster title immediately.
Lmaoooo same
hahaha same here; couldn't do the first two but the last one was ez
Hahaha
The last pause-the-video moment was surprisingly easy. I spent so much time thinking "wait, why is Rxa1 and Rd8 not just winning on the spot? GM material? Do I need to switch the move order or something?"
But no, the straightforward answer is indeed the best answer.
He paused at the wrong moment. Rxa1 was so obvious. He should have paused after bishop recaptures.
In the third pause the video, I went immediately for Rd8, thinking it was cool to leave both rooks hanging :)
I didn't get the second one. Quiet bishop move, nope. But the third one, I was looking at that RD8 before he even paused the video, lol.
@johnjameson6751 Same as well, but I sumirsed if Rb8 is winning (which it looked) then Rxa1 must as well. If he doesn't recapture and goes g7, I'm up a rook can't complain😂
Pause the video moments have two components: 1. Simply find the winning move. 2. Calculate through to that point from much earlier in the line. GM tier calculation probably starts from the move .e6. It's not a forced line but in order to play e6 you need to see that the following combination leads to a queen trade with the pawn on f7. You also then need to see the see the power of getting the bishop to b5. Without that, it's a completely drawn endgame.
Just 6 months ago, Daniel Dardha was 2575. Now that he won both the Djerba Invitational and the Sardegna Open, crashing into the top 100, his live rating is up to 2656.3 and counting. And he is still only 18! Remember that name, he is a future 2700. Proud of you Daniel, from Belgium.
Daniel is Albanian, Dardha's father, Arben Dardha, who became U-20 Albanian Champion at age 16, is a FIDE Master and, as of 2019, Daniel's coach (Daniel is also intermittently coached by Ivan Sokolov). Dardha's grandfather, Bardhyl Dardha, coached the Tomori chess club in Berat, Albania as well as his son. At age 82, he was still active in online chess.
Magnus:
“Brief endgame?!? What’s that??”
😂
Oh that last pause the video moment is so genius. This is why I love chess
Those complaining the last “pause the video” moment was easier don’t realise we only got it because we knew there was a definite win for white in 4 moves. The genius is spotting it in the real game.
I think 'pause the video moments' are in reverse order. I was able to solve third one, second one was tough and first 'what was that'?
Same here
same
🙌🙌
I couldn't find a move other than E4 so the first seemed the easiest to me
Same
what a game to watch at the weekend
I showed the first pause the video moment to my uncle, and he said, "WTF are these diagrams?"
And it was in this position, that Agadmator said, "Sorry about that," and resigned.
Lmao
this is the greatest thing i've heard all day
Elegant closure!
Nice difficulty levels but the last one was easier for me for having seen such positions, thanks.
The last pause the video moment was so mind crushing that agad lose his mind and thanks "happy birthday" 😂😂
One of the best games ever!. The last pause the video was by far the easiest starting with Rd8, not Rxa1 which is obvious to avoid a check to the white king. The first two pause the video moments were much harder because there were many pieces on the board and the lines were more than a few moves ahead. I found Rd8 in a couple of minutes but then realized that the rooks on the first rank must first be exchanged. I was unable to solve the first two pause the video moments because of there were too many possible lines to calculate with sufficient depth to determine which one was the strongest.
The 3rd pause was kinda the easiest (?)
agree. Because it is a direct k.o punch and there aren't that many pieces left to move anw
you mean taking the rook on a1 or the rook lift followed by blocking with the bishop?
@@abhishekjain3148 pretty sure he meant the whole sequence. To me e4 and Bf4 were much more difficult, I saw e4 but couldnt calculate it, and I didn't see Bf4 at all
@@abhishekjain3148 yeah the whole sequence
Bobby Fischer would be proud of that amazing light square bishop on C4!! Great game 👌
Daniel Dardha is playing very interesting chess, hopefully we'll see more of him on this channel 😀
Funny enough I only find the 3rd pause the video moment. There really aren't that many options and the tactic actually win the game on the spot (unlike the other 2) so I actually feel it's a bit easier
This game is why I love the Q-Gambit. There are so many variations that your opponent will have to be well versed in theory to be competitive.
Fantastic stuff
Thank Yo !!! Thanks Joe 😄😄😄😄😄
I didn't get the first two "pause the video" moments, but did see the third.
What does that mean?
"Welcome to the greatest game you'll see.....today....most likely" Agad the only man confident enough to kill the hype of his own video
8:30 Up a rook... for the next game since this position would be checkmate xD
Love this channel. Dude tells the truth
It's how I roll 🥐
What a troll.
Thanks. Interesting game.
He's so good looking
Well done Daniel Dardha! He puts Belgium on the chess map. I hope he finds a sponsor soon so he can make a living from chess.
Stunning game
This is the games of the old, brilliant and bold.
Wow incredible game very masterful by Dardha one move after another forcing Alek to respond but coming up short every time Complete control by White Thanks for the Game Enjoy the day
I solved the last “pause” before you even said to pause it. I’m not bragging, cuz this is the first time that’s ever happened.

"Joe, or maybe it's [y]oe" got me good.
“This was all preparation up to a certain point.” Truer words have never been spoken.
for me the last "pause the moment" was the easiest😭
This was crazy
I'm starting to miss the Morphy saga
At 6:22 there is something you very rarely see in actual over the board games... a rook fork.
honestly the last pause the moment was the easiest of three imo
Open the gate of the cage with the rook sacrifice, lure the security away, and then lock the door of the cage back again with the bishop, while keeping the guard at bay all the while.
Amazing attack, 👏
Agad! you should make a video on how kendrick lamar checkmated drake in such a short ammount of time
What a game 🔥
Always thought that if the pawn taken it is Queen's gambit, not Queen's gambit declined. Does it matter when exactly pawn captured? It was basically done right after black attacked it.
hi agadmator!
On 3:26, even if the queen falls, material is equal. Black is even better. Black has 2 rooks for 1 queen, a knight for a bishop and bishop pair for a rook... maybe black king is too much open? but material is better than white. Do i miss something?
I still dont understnad the first pause the video moment (3:27). If you go through that combination, and King ends up taking the knight on d7, then black has 2 pieces and a rook for the queen. Isn't that sufficient combination? Why is that so good for white?? Help appreciated.
My uncle not know how to move queen 😂😂
But black doesn't have to take the bishop, he can just move the king to black square
#suggestion Daniel Dardha vs Aryan Tari in the Cutie Pie Cup!
What
@@seya_2 DANIEL DARDHA VS ARYAN TARI IN THE CUTIE PIE CUP!!
I didn't get the first pause the video but my uncle did. But I got the last one, the grandmaster one. Ergo, I'm a grandmaster. But my uncle could be beat me it seems. Therefore he must be really up there. Super grandmaster or something. Maybe he's actually Agadmator!
Nf4 looked like a good spot for the knight it would be attacking the white Queen would force white to capture with Bishop but Black Queen could recapture the Bishop
Alekseenko looks Like Alex the other chess UA-camr. So much I thought, 'Wow! He got real good, lol" glad to see ur ok.
3:08 Why can't the Black Knight jump to F4 ?? It's guarded by the Queen
Epic game for , I play the queen's gambit , I must memorize it , I think I had this position once or twice
i remember watching one video in morphy saga when you said: for those of you who found it, i simply don't believe you. people who found this move, they don't watch my video.
now you calling me grandmaster material? 😂
I found the last pause the video moment move! aM i ThE cHoSeN oNe!?!
that don't look declined to me. That ant got "greedy" and took. Anyway moving on. Missed the first pause the video (went the boring usual route, although i had the right move as an option - beautiful combo after - that's why I hate d4 when i play black - I got so much punishment when I played d5, i just stopped using d5 as black). Second pause the video moment also missed that. But I did get the last one, both moves, but not the third...go figure. Great show, thank you and thank you to the players. Still Kirill held it as much as he could, some would consider it game over particularly as he did not have the bishop move that could have kept him with a chance. Daniel was prepared as in probably had went through the same painful experience of the "pleasures" of the queens opening as many others have, when facing it as black.
"Even your uncle!"... I couldn't figure it out...
I found all the pause moments dear Agad but i am stuck at 1400 elo and it seems like there is not much progress ever since😊, nevertheless thank you so much for showing us such a great game
I found the last one instantly. But so did my uncle.
Got the 1st in a couple seconds and the 3rd even before he said pause the video 🤷 this one was really easy stuff
One and three. not bad.
I asked my uncle and he got that one wrong.
This is the best game I've seen before commenting!!!
nice last move guess
is it good i actually spotted it the 2nd move the second i blinked only 940 elo
Not the greatest game I will see today. I already watched your rapid game!! 😅
I found the GM one easier than the first one. Surely the engine would have seen it immediately.
The Wooden shield.
...like your uncle. I resemble that remark...hahahaha
I didn't find the first 2 moves but found the 3rd easily.
Finally we have a new episode of my uncle harassment 😂
Great pause-the-video moments, Antonio. Nice endgame. ♟♟♟
I think I'll avoid that opening as black
I got the 2nd and 3rd challenges, totally missed the first. The 3rd was the easiest.
What is the story behind the alien and the chicken?
I found the 3rd pause the moment but not the first 2 … what does that make me ?
Lol the last one was the easiest because there were no other options to check and that's why it's the only pause the video i've solved.
On the first pause the video, why can't the white bishop just take the knight?
The only move I found was the third one.
Hey, my aunty is the chess player-uncle hasn't got a clue!
I found the third one quite easily. It wasn't that difficult.
3:27 on the King and Queen fork, black has bishop knight and rook for the queen.
inactive material and wide open king. black loses
Maybe I am just saying there is compensation for the Q. You still have to prove it over the board.
@@MrK623 Came to the comments for exactly this. Black definitely has material compensation, white definitely has the active queen against black's exposed king. But I don't know if "you can just resign" is necessarily obvious from the diagram. If Black can build a fortress, he could hold - would have liked to have seen a few more moves in the analysis.
@@mottystone I didn't set it up on my board (no engine.) I assume with proper defense if black can activate his extra pieces it is still a fight, and if white doesn't have anything forcing immediately, black is OK with this.
#gukesh vs gajeswki - will love to see their only game they played analyzed by one and only agadmator!!
Is there such a thing as a Granduncle?
Could he also not have trapped the black rook on the last rank by moving his bishop directly to e8 . I know the best move was played in the game but it would have been tough for black either way. Rook and king trapped on the last rank while white's rook roamed free.
This is brutal.
Isn't rd8 black rook takes then check on e8 also win ?
When the bishop promotes to a pope.
Alexandra botex really played good games in her recent tournament and she won 8.5/9. You should cover some of her games.
*botez? Or you did it knowingly?😅😅
@@luciferjesus7062 oops sorry. I didnt mean that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I only got the third one.
I got the last sequence correctly, but I assure you, I am not GM material.
Are you from Baghdad or Kuwait?
I don't know why in my 40s rated 1900 on lichess I can be a gm material for just finding a interpose tactic.
Damn my stupid uncle wasnt able to find the first pause the video
I solved 2 and 3 but got the first one wrong😂 agad tricked us
Antwerp represent lmao
hey aggad,it's excepted not declined..😁
