It was actually not too difficult to find, because the king had to move, otherwise some pins on the e file always get annoying. But I didn't find the continuation really. Great great game from start to finish. I wonder, at which move Radjabov would deviate next time.

    10. Nd5 was previously seen in Ponkratov-Sharafiev (2013), a 17 move game that also featured the Bxh6 sacrifice. Azat played 10...d6 though, so 10...Re8 was the opening novelty. My guess is that Nikolas was well aware of Pavel's play backed up with some modern computer analysis.

To be "game of the year" It s supposed to be a two-way fight, and that s why It s difficult for short games to be awarded, and this Is actually an example of a short game in which only One attacks. I Remember shirov being somewhat ashamed that he was awarded a beauty prize in a tournament in the mid '90s, for he said that the opponent was doomed since a very early stage and the game was one-sided since, to the point that in certain situations he had plenty of ways to go on and win.

Maybe I should get the Morphy head though a-head of GM Theodorou, because his computer probably found it for him.

Queen sacs in which the sacrificing player had to think accurately like ten moves in the future, trusting that s/he didn't miss seeing a better move for his/her opponent, a move that would make the sac a blunder.

This is key to fun exciting games nowadays. If both players do play well and make no obvious inaccuracy. The game go on and on and it's either a long endgame where someone turn a pawn into a queen to win or it's a draw.
It is also why older imperfect games tend to be more entertaining. Very strong play from both players do not create those sort of games. Player 1 want to try something, player 2 see it coming, so nothing happen as each other prevent their opponent winning plans.
It's like any sport where both teams have amazing defenses... and then that game go on and on without any goals. Maybe it's played better, but it's less exciting to watch.

How did radjabov get that far without developing his pieces? The entire queen side is completely static, having not taken a single move in a, b, c, or d files.

Black was busy defending and he went attacking without developing other pieces and only using the already developed rook. White also made sacrifices by capturing the pawns that will increase the mobility of his remaining pieces at the same time removing kings defenses making it vulnerable to checkmate by that few pieces of white.

I always like your pause for the fans to find the winning move. This one is my favorite. To me it was obvious, If anyone didn't spot, don't feel bad, admitting you're not perfect and keep on puzzling.

Lets allow this game to sink in and fully savor it but I think it has game of the year potential. This is absolutely a candidate for game of the year though.
