Great video! Not only did you show how to properly remove the bumper; but you also showed the huge amount of patience required to be a mechanic. I have been in the collision repair business for 42 years. And unfortunately we don't always get to work on brand new cars right off the assembly line. So I almost always plan on something going wrong. Such as rusted bolts and clips, or broken plastic clips. So we just "deal with it" as you have demonstrated here. Thank you very much for taking the time to do this. I have a Ford Escape coming in today to have the rear bumper replaced and I always check UA-cam to see if anyone has made a video of the procedure. This gives me a little "Heads-up" on the job. FORD, Figure On Repairs Daily. :-)
Thanks for making this video. It give me the confidence to work on my 2010 Mariner. Only difference is mine has the park assistance sensors (which btw failed to work and caused me to back in to a column). hope that don't complicate things too much.
About to go buy a bumper from the junk yard and replace mine. And my car is definitely just as rusty so I plan for that part to suck lol. Thank u tho! Ur very helpful and totally look like Shia LaBeouf hopefully that’s how his names spelled lol
What tow hitch is that I want one on mine but yours looks like the step up one can you send me a link I didn’t want the big one but I seen one that was really small only 4 bolts right to the bumper looks like yours great video by the way
Thanks for the video. My wife's 2012 was rear-ended. Bumper cover is fine after polishing compound and waxing. Rear bumper energy absorber behind bumper cover is broken and should be replaced. Thanks!
Excellent instruction video including your video capture inside wheel wells. Detailed description of tools and sizes is a big help in preparing for the job. 👍
Awesome video! Thank you so much for sharing this. I plan to replace my own bumper. Do you know if a 2012 Ford Escape bumper will fit a 2011? Thank you so much for any assistance. Meagan
This is awesome! I was worried my rear bumper was a tiny bit loose after hauling some heavy things to the dump...but after seeing how many large bolts & screws are holding it together, I’m not worried anymore. Looks like it won’t be going anywhere! 🤗.

You really need a mini-tripod, but thank you for the information. I've got to do this soon, and this is very informative.
