You are so lucky to have BGW as a home park. I hope you never take it for granted and get bored with how excellent a park it is. The coasters are all so photogenic, the theming is just half a notch below Disney/Universal, the food is higher tier for a theme park and there is really something for everyone. Also, Celtic Fyre is Dollywood level entertainment. They just need to do something with DarKastle. It was super sad when they closed it and BGW ought to have dark rides. Either bring it back or make a sequel type ride.
@@yungzen2425 since writing this comment I have had a similar thing happen! I was at Thorpe Park in the UK and was on Stealth. As we were cresting the top of the ride, in the distance we saw a massive lightning strike hit a few miles away out of nowhere and immediately the rides had to be shut down. Thankfully the storm only lasted a few hours so they opened again later on
I've seen people singing Sweet Caroline in line for Maverick and a guy swinging his shirt in the air on Magnum's brakes, but your last Apollo's Chariot ride should count as a new credit for its weirdness.
I remember being terrified of Curse of DarKastle as a kid. It was good and all, but I just didn't like the spooky stuff. I wish I could have ridden it again when I wasn't scared of that sort of thing.
Unpopular opinion - I couldn't stand DarKastle. It gave me a headache every time. I only rode it to stand in the AC while in line. I just closed my eyes the whole time lol
I was there that day, we came over from Water Country when the tornado warning went off. They didn't have anyone to even scan our passes to get in. They said take shelter so we walked over to Alpengeist and "took shelter" in the front row line. Lol 2nd train after reopening!

If you're wondering why verbolten's roof is gone. It is because it got partially blown off by a storm in like late April, so they decided to take it all off. Also, former Finnegan flyer ride op here. We have had so many issues with people vaping on the ride.

My family stopped by Busch Gardens on the way home from Canada one year. We were there for a day, and at the end everyone was tired. I wanted to ride Pompeii but no one else did so I ran on there alone and got a quick ride before we left. The next morning, I woke up and my eyes were swollen shut from something in the water.
These parks have eliminated so many family rides that only young people and older adults without health problems are the ones that can ride roller coasters. All the dark rides, virtual rides, etc are gone and not worth paying so much to go there.
This is my favorite home park! Lived here for years live just an hour away! Been there multiple times in my life! I absolutely love this park with all my heart! I’m gonna be heartbroken they remove apollos chariot! It’s my favorite ride!
Taylor, I’ve gotta know : 12:36-12:44 Did you just perfectly splice going down the biggest drop right into a break run on purpose? If so, bravo my man. Bravo. Clean as hell
I was at this park a few weeks ago and it was the best experience I had at an amusement park in a long time. My guess is the county the park is in probably had a tornado warning and since the alarms would go off for the entire county, only a portion of it was in real danger. I’m very pleased regardless to see them take severe weather seriously.
There used to be this roller coaster called Draconfire back in the 90s. The only thing I remember about it is that at the end of the ride it would shake so bad that you would bash your head side to side on the restraint.
