they lost in the final game. they were my parents. they died in a car crash in 2001. i was supposed to go on that journey with them, but i had a cold and stayed in bed. that was the last time i saw them alive. to be honest, their relationship deteriorated after appearing on here.
@@annburgess4018 Ann, if it is indeed the very Ann who appeared on this episode, what an absolute pleasure it is to make contact with you. Apologies for having to resort to such under-handed tactics to get your attention; I figured you would pop on here every now and then to read the latest comments. I have to say I'm your biggest fan, and I watch this episode probably more often than you do! You are a very attractive woman. Please give my regards to John, what a nice chap he seems. It's late now but I hope we'll talk more later. Is Bonnie still around too?
Just like "Card Sharks" here in these united States, both the 1978-81 run with Jim Perry and the 1986-89 run with Bob Eubanks. The difference here is that you have couples here instead of individual players. In that case, PYC has the advantage.
@@redblade8160 Please show me an episode of either a Jim Perry-hosted or Bob Eubanks-hosted, or even a Bill Rafferty-hosted CS where the contestants were couples.
"You still flirt, don't you Bruce?"Nice one John - that was the best adlibbed line of the entire episode!
I was 11/12 and my mother loved this a staple tv diet of my childhood?
Aww RIP Sir Bruce xx
One of my favourite game shows, but I do miss Bruce Forsyth so much,he`s one of the best all-round entertainers of mine.
Thanks..She still is!

You used watch these on challenge tv.
Ann’s so cool!
The 1980s episodes were great. Forsyth had that razor sharp wit. Was never as good when it came back in the 90’s
No indeed not too alas.

Wow there was some real shit bad luck with those cards!!!
Please upload the whole show if you have it? It's the best quality version of the 80's show I've seen, and would love to see it all.

@@drssexy2142 So sorry to hear that.
@@drssexy2142 If you're referring to John and Ann they are very much alive.

Hope john and ann are doing well
@@jeffgillis4101 We’re very well thanks ..53 years and still going strong!
Aww you're from Sidcup. I'm in Abbey Wood
Any chance of uploading the whole show?
Love play your cards right.
Thanks.
What was the show like to be on ?
17:06 18:14 You don't get anything for a pair....NOT IN THIS GAME!
I know loads of couples called Ann and John
So, how were the after-show drinks with Brucie? What happened?
brucie flirted with my mum

What are you talking about halfwit, both versions of the game have couples?

I see what you mean now, but it's the poor way you worded your other post; it is confusing!
Yeh..Shame about that.. don’t know why that’s happened.. The other couple went on to win cash and car at the end..John
Michael Barrymore was the only man talented enough to fill Bruce's shoes but he lacked the self control and discipline.
Well that was pointless watching as we didn't get to see the last bit.
