I hate how the display screen is not the best quality and I always think it was a horrible shot but when I import it into my computer it is literally PERFECT!
I agree it's a great little camera. Way underrated. I traded in my bulky dslr gear for the G7Xii and never regretted it. So small and light weight yet mostly metal build. It has features my dslr didn't have. The compact size has giving me the freedom to shoot when I would have left bigger gear at home. I'm just getting into the video use though. Your tips will help out. Cheers!
@@MukhlisSabir I would go for the G7X III has a few additional features like I believe an external mic jack. I'm not a vlogger so that isn't a feature I need. Aside from that, I'm very happy with the camera. All depends on your needs.
Congratulations! Still the best vlogging camera 'till date. Got mine on 2018 and I still love using it more than my M50. P.S TIP NO.1 is very important! remember G7X MII is great when it comes to low light / indoor situation, but with NDFilter-ON . . . boom! your footage is completely ruined. Just like what happened to my previous travel vlog:(
Had my G7Xii for quite a while now and i've completely not made the most of it. This video was so digestible though that it's going to up my game for sure. LEGEND
Hi.... I totally agree the canon G7xll is an amazing little camera.... I just got mine and I’m loving it.... thanx for the five tips for keeping it in auto mode... very helpful....loving your work....
My Canon G7X Mark II arrives tomorrow. Of all the videos I've watched so far on YT about the camera yours has been the best! I'll be getting absolutely nothing accomplished today except learning from all of your videos...so, yeah, that's definitely SOMETHING! Thank you.
Thank you you for all of these tips esp tip 1 and how to achieve it. I currently have mines set exactly how I need it but these additional tips are great! ❤
I’ve been thinking about getting the G7xii for a while now, even though if I’m being honest with myself I don’t really reeeeally need it... I have a Fuji XT2 as my main camera, which I love and use a lot (it’s also pretty portable being a mirrorless), and I wanted a smaller camera to always have in my bag “just in case”. A few months ago I bought the Lumix LX100 (the older model, there was a big discount on it) but I haven’t really used it as I hoped, and now I regret having bought that instead of the Canon - and after watching your video this feeling is even stronger (no ND filter on the Lumix and the stabilization looks better on the Canon as well, also the Lumix is bigger and I leave it at home anyway).. I might just sell the Lumix and get the Canon.......
Can you pleeaassee make more cinematic videos with this camera, or showing how to make them with this camera! Cuz this is the Camera I have I really love the way you film!
As usual Francis, awesome.... Question please... I have a Panasonic HC-V130 some years old now, time to retire it and get the CanonG7Xii.... Comment please. I've used Power Shot A2000IS before it also is getting on in years but it was good for it's day... Cheers Roger
yep but there is no shutter speed 120, there is 100 which is exact shutter speed for 50 fps ;) Anyway for 60fps you can use shutter speed 125, but it will bring darker video, right?
Thanks for the tips Francis. I have a question? I have just bought a Rode Video microphone for my G7X Mark ii and an innov extension lead to fit into the USB port. Also, I purchased a Cold shoe mount . However, the microphone doesn't seem to work which is frustrating as I wanted an up grade on the inbuilt mic. Why is this happening?....Do I need to buy a Rode extension lead or perhaps the Rode video mic is just faulty? Thanks.
Francis Darracott yes! it’s all good but i have a problem with importing my video on my computer ( windows) do you know how i can solve this? thank you😊
Nice Video Francis, so clear and right to point. I got my g7x last wk and loving too like yourself. Your tips are on point I can't wait to shot with it trying your tips. I'm a new subscriber love what you are doing. Keep it going. Thank you
A lensmate filter kit for the g7xii ? Got one myself. I believe nice for mountain landscape shots. Maybe good subject for tutorial? And by the way great video. THANKS!
This was an amazing video! Thank you so much for sharing! I am going to get some video clips for my husbands dads wedding this weekend with my G7X. I needed some tips and this really helped! I'm going out after work to practice getting some shots!! I am still learning this camera. Thanks again!!
Hi Francis, terrific video and tips. Thanks for that. Proper job. ;-) I do have a question for you. We currently use a Canon PowerShot SX720 HS as a simple point-and-shoot camera, mainly for photographs when our Canon EOS80D is to bulky. The Canon PowerShot SX720 HS is soooo slow when focusing and shooting photographs. Have you used the G7Xii photograph function and anything you can say about that?
Nice vid. I loved the canon G7X Mkii for the visual quality other than a bit of auto focus hunting sometimes, but the audio I find is it’s weakest attribute - especially the sound of the autofocus from the lens. So I changed to the M6, though not as good in low light - compromise I guess.
This video is so great for me! Been using the g7xii as my main camera for a while now and it’s fantastic! But as always, learnt so much from your video man! Thanks so much! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Nice video dude. I was really torn between the g7x mkii and the g5x and in the end went for the g5x but only due to having a viewfinder. Realised it doesn't have time lapes though dam it.. I reckon you have ordered a dji osmo. ;)
Great video Francis! I also have a G7xII And I did know the most off what you said! I watch the video anyway because I Like you as a person =) Keep it up!!
Actually I am really sad that you didn't pin someone or that the pin got lost over the years. Would be cool to see what video you choose back then.
I hate how the display screen is not the best quality and I always think it was a horrible shot but when I import it into my computer it is literally PERFECT!
Caleb Eckenrode same mate
Ha yea, same happens to me!!
Just bought a G7x and this video was EXACTLY what I needed!! Thank you.

thanks for the information, I will also exchange my dslr soon for this small camera. I don't know anymore. it's 2022.

i just bought a G7X (i know it's 2 years later right!) and this is the first video Im watching. Thank you for the top tips!

My Canon G7X Mark II arrives tomorrow. Of all the videos I've watched so far on YT about the camera yours has been the best! I'll be getting absolutely nothing accomplished today except learning from all of your videos...so, yeah, that's definitely SOMETHING! Thank you.
Really appreciate this! Have just opened my new g7x mark ii today and this the most clear vid I have watched yet!

Hey Francis tip number SIX: change your settings to NTSC and the magic of true 24fps AND 60fps becomes available. 😉
yep but there is no shutter speed 120, there is 100 which is exact shutter speed for 50 fps ;) Anyway for 60fps you can use shutter speed 125, but it will bring darker video, right?
What is ntsc???
Hello Francis you have wonderful videos, but do you think you could upload more drone magic air videos?

So informative
Frances, where did you go? Missing your stuff.
How to stop the clicking sound I find in post videos
U r just amazing Francis...u bring the best out of any device....
One more thing..if u change ur video format to PAL then u can get 60 fps
MilesAndHeights Shouldn’t that be NTSC? That’s usually 30 or 60fps, and PAL is 25/50
HellbellyUK Yes yeah..I always get confused between the two...Thank you 😊
Gimbal?
Proper job 👏🏼
Are you using a gimbal with the camera?.. if so which one?
Which camera you suggest now in September 2019 for blogging?
Where u been looking for more mavic air vids tips
Anything special for export settings ?

Hey, boss, how come there’s no star on the screen in auto mode to lock exposure? Great tips🤟
