1:31 analog trigger for single joycon mode… possibly a programmable button when attached would be nice too 3:32 if it was a second screen, which I’m actually on the side of for 3DS and DS remakes/emulation, then it would 100% be supported and not just sitting on top… I don’t see what a centered port has to do with anything either 3:56 USB C headset anyone?
I'm honestly sad, Nintendo was the only company making games with some novelty, and for which it made sense to buy the hardware the most. All the other consoles are just the bare screen, controller and box that can run a game with more power each time. Nintendo was the funky motion controls, the dual screens, and yeah, the gimmick of switching flawlessly from handheld to TV console, but the Switch 2 just looks like a perfected Switch 1, with extras like the microphone (why is it in the body instead of being on the joycon btw ? unless I misunderstood that) and with a new platform so you will need to buy it if you want to play the new releases (sure, retrocompatibility is nice at least we have that), but there isn't actually much that's new here. I feel like Nintendo's biggest innovation in the past years have been the alarmo, which sucks if it's true. Also I'm craving a truly portable handheld, because even the switch lite is too bulky ! The gameboy SP or the DS and 3DS systems were truly portable, with some actual things to do. There is a difference between playing on the go handhelds, and truly portable handheld, with features that are rewarding you for carrying your device, like streetpass or a pedometer did. The cameras of the 3DS allowed you to scan QR code to share online some content, but on the Switch, it's all online-based so doing the same thing now requires a subscription to online services (sure, it's reasonably priced I'll give it that). Also, Nintendo was so fearful of people modding their console they didn't include a web browser, as if removing features for everyone was a better move than allowing the few people that will want to mod their device to do it, as if people wouldn't figure out a way to do that anyways... Power is also not great, as having limitations pushes for innovation, but making a new game and having "improved graphics" as the biggest selling point is getting quite old. Also, a game streaming service is neat, but I can't help to think it's just encouraging us to not only not own games anymore, but also not own the hardware to run it ! Streaming hardware is only good for the few years the service is being supported, after that you have some sort of brick that you can jailbreak to run new stuff, sure, but its original purpose is lost, and I feel like we will be getting even more lost media. I just feel like 7 years was enough for Nintendo to figure something new and exciting to play, the switch sold well, they could have taken the risk. In conclusion I'm gonna wait to see if they propose some OS/software improvement that will make this new console feel truly better, they still couldn't figure out themes other than light and dark for the switch in those 7 years after all ! Everyone was expecting it to come in an update a bit later, but we're still out of it.
Also mark my words : the magnets are gonna loose their power as time go by and at some point and we will see lots of people complaining about demagnetized joycons and Switches.
If I get this well, instead of a logical evolution of the Switch, you want the Switch 2 to be a gimmicky abomination like dual screen or split screen? With a golf club integrated?
@@Dilmi.AOUKLI i don't think the switch should have a dual screen, I wish they'd do something different instead of trying to be the same thing but more power and with a mic, and pay full price for a new console that feels like the previous one. And I'd like if they also developed a proper handheld on the side. The switch in its time did both pretty good, but a new iteration calls for mediocrity in both handheld and living room mode
