It is absolutely wild to me that the not-like-other-girls trend has changed from "tomboy who doesn't realize pretty girls also have hobbies" to "actually I wish women never got rights"
Lmao yeah it's wild. I think the reason why this subreddit always has so much content is because young women and girls want to feel individualized rather than stereotyped with all the typical feminine stuff like dresses and makeup, but they all pick the same things and have thus created a whole new stereotype. So in order to escape the "emo/goth tomboy gamer girl" stereotype that has been created by edgy teenage girls trying to be different they've decided to go towards 50s housewife instead. My sister and I had drastically different personalities, she was more feminine and liked to do her nails meanwhile I was a tomboy who liked to play videogames and mostly wore my brother's old clothes that were too small for him, but I never saw a reason to hate on her for that difference lmao. I hated skirts and dresses as a kid but I enjoy wearing them occasionally as an adult just because I'm in the mood to be a bit more feminine These girls fr just don't understand that you can be different without making your entire personality revolve around being different, and you'd think that after enough memes like these they'd realize that they, in fact, _are_ like other girls lmao
"I don't want a job I just want to live on a farm in dresses and milk cows" as if farming isn't on of the most exhausting jobs out there. your dress will be ruined day one. you will have to wake up at 5am every day. this dream is stupid. put some respect on the real hard work people who live your non existent "dream life" do ffs
I would love to take this kind of women to work on an actual farm. They have some romanticized image of farm work, like you prance around in a dress petting cows in a sunny field and give them a hand full of hay every now and then. Wonder how long they would actually last in a real farm. "Here is a shovel, Betty, and there is a pile of manure. Off you go!
Its funny because my mom is Stay at Home and most definitely a believer and defender of woman's rights. It was just her personal choice because she would rather spend time with us. She's still incredibly strong and most definitely not a ''traditional submissive wife''. Our dad often cooks the meals when he comes back from work early enough 😜 And she (and I) are always the ones constructing new furniture in the house, because we're way more patient and better with it than him. Its just a very healthy house where everyone deals with what they do best and can live their lives like they want.
@@Daughter_of_apollo_2 Absolutely correct, I'm so glad I have parents who support freedom of choice for everyone and arent afraid to stray away from 'gender norms' when it simply dosent fit them.
Fun fact: being a stay-at-home housewife who doesn't work and just takes care of the home is a very "rich, white American" thing. Lower-class women, including women of color, always had to work. As far as feminism is concerned with work (because feminism is not just about work), the point wasn't to get women to work - it was to get them paid for their work the same as men, as well as allow them into jobs that were historically men's domain.
Today, used the be the obly option, no onw would have paid a woman. Changed during the great depression, wich was waaaay easier to live through then the current depression meaning even then, work was a choice for women
Well, it was a lot more feasible back in the 50's. Maybe not _everyone_ could pull it off, but _more_ people could. If only minimum wage went up with the rate of production, then we might not have as shit of an economy around here... EDIT: I feel like I might need to pre-emptively clarify that I don't really care much for the "traditional housewife" shtick. Just pointing out economy stuff, really. If you wanna be a stay-at-home housewife, more power to ya, but if you don't, that's also perfectly acceptable!
My mom didn't get a job cuz she is an empowered feminist, she got it so we can pay for stuff, cuz her and my dad's pay together is hardly enough, imagine if only one of them worked. This antifeminists in america really piss me off cuz women getting jobs is rather a normal thing in 90% of the world and isn't done by "girl boss" feminists, rather.... everyone.... people just need jobs ffs, if u hate getting a job, that's cuz capitalism is fucked and no one like working in this environment, not cuz "women shouldn't work"
All the pick me's in this video seem to ignore that the majority of the suffrage movement was probably full of women that were struggling from not being able to have a job, whether a single parent or just being denied financial freedom by their husbands. My grandma was born in the 40's and she still struggled to get a job. Which she needed, because of a slew of abusive husbands and raising 3 kids. She was the kind of woman who not only wanted a job because everyone deserves choice, but NEEDED a job.
The history of the women's suffrage movement in the USA and England is fascinating and deeply enmeshed in class-- most of the leaders and most visible members of the movement were middle-class women who had the leisure time to devote to the cause. Working class women definitely were willing to fight for the vote but their efforts were often rejected by middle class activists because they thought it was bad optics. In the US that went double for black women. It is really interesting, messy history
Is there really an end to the list of things pick mes miss when they express how triggered everyone is that they're genuinely too privileged to understand most people cannot afford the life they're advocating for if they wanted it?
As a girls girl who wears short skirts, tiny tops, tight dresses, and shakes her ass at the club whenever she wants, I can confidently say that I have never really had trouble in my adult life finding “high value” partners. People want to have fun and if I am not someone’s cup of tea that is totally okay. What is not okay is shitting on people because their idea of fun is different than yours. Also even if I was single I would be doing the exact same thing the same way because I dress and act like myself, my concern is not what people think of me or attracting a partner.
@@Nope-c9i going to the club doesn’t make someone a “slut.” Last I checked you don’t have sex with everyone in attendance, it’s just dancing, chill tf out.
I am amazed at the people who are like "I'm going to move to a farm and wear dresses and feed chickens" like no. You wear boots and jeans on a farm and you smell like good healthy poo. You want to wear cute dresses, stay in the city. Chickens are dinosaurs anyway.
I've never seen someone fantasize about farm life that actually understood how farm life works. They think they can get up at 9am and basically let the land manage itself. 😂 they always think they'll be working 40 hours a week on the farm at MOST! They dont understand how much farmland it would take to fully provide for a full household, how much work goes into that, how much work would go into selling the excess (even if its just farmer's markets and not a contract with a large food distributor). They would not survive a DAY on a real farm.
Seriously :'D Anyone who says they're going to milk cows in a pretty dress imagines some idealized poster of a pinup milkmaid or something, having like one cow in a cutesy wooden barn. I imagine the reality of it is more like "We have 35 cows in this huge modern barn, it is 5 am and me, my husband and our two workers are starting with guiding the cows to the milking units, we need to get this shit done by 6 so we have time to clean the enclosures". Also I've driven by farmland, and you don't have to be close to the cows to know what the smell is like. I've also been to a barn and it's quite pungent, although you do get used to it pretty fast. I'd say a pretty dress, while it might brighten your mood, will be super impractical, get stuck on things and probably get chewed on by a cow, and be dusty and smeared with feces by the end of the shift :D
Yeah, they want to be Marie Antoinette during her 'royal shepherdess' period or what we call today the cottagecore aesthetics. The reality is that, if you want fresh eggs for breakfast, you have to get up early (ideally before the rooster, cause he'll want to kill you for trying to steal his unborn children), before sunrise. Then you have to walk into the chicken coop and try to get rid of the chickens who laid eggs. Then you have to collect the stil warm and smelly eggs full of poo and try to sneak them into the house without the mother hen noticing and start a riot that will bring in the rooster (who then will try to kill you). Once inside the house you have to clean those eggs and especially your hands, so you won't die from bacteria from the poop. And then you have to make breakfast with those eggs, hoping sincerely that they are fresh, and not some eggs you overlooked like a week ago and where a half developed chicklet fetus will pop out from. And that's the first 15 minutes of an average farmer morning, if you have the absolutely non cottagecore aesthetically conform luxury of electricity, tab water and gas/heat.
Exactly, like, I’m lesbian and have friends of all types of genders and yet I have no interest in them AT ALL other than friendship, not everyone is a cheating pos
im omnisexual, (pansexual but im not fully genderblind basically) and i still have friends of all genders without wanting anything more than a friendship 😭

I hate the birth control slander. I have very painful cycles due to PCOS to the point where I would become anemic and can barely walk. Birth control is health care.
Same same, I feel like I can actually survive the cycle instead of curled up in a ball in my room crying due to pain. Plus I really hate these people who are like "No birth control!!" "Okay so if I get pregnant and don't want a child rn, I'll get it terminated" "OH MY GOD YOU MURDERER!!!!" like, bish I was TRYING not to get here but you said no to birth control, tf???
i went to an ivy league school - the women were by far more engaged with the material and made better points, but the men would just reword and repeat the same point and get more praise from the other men in the room. men and women are capable of being incredibly intelligent but men have learned they can just take women’s points and get credit. if they weren’t taught that im sure we’d all be making equal points. also, intelligent people tend to congregate with other intelligent people. so if youve never heard a woman say something intelligent…. ive got news for you. there is an exception with some specific intelligent men who know their intellect can get them laid/attention from women, so naturally plenty of women who are not academically intelligent will interact with loads of these men and very few intelligent women ps. not being academically intelligent is NOT a fault; everyone has a strength and if intelligence is not yours thats ok! our society seems to only value intelligence and beauty though.
People who use the "wives, submit to your husbands" Bible passage always exclude the second part; "husbands, love your wives." They quote the first part because out of context they skew it to sound like they can control their wife, not a partnership based on mutual love and respect.
“husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the Church” I love this because it adds wayyyyyy more depth to the love in a marriage. Each should be willing to die for eachother, just how Jesus died for the people in His Church.
@@BrennaButcher Not just that, die for her if she hates him. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. This is a high bar of love, not an excuse to control another person.
And also the fact that it's a old books written by men during a time that you could be married off to a man older than you... But yeah also taking any quote out of context that can change the meaning entirely is not supporting your belief
I live in Alberta. All the "Farm Girls" I know are badass. They wear blue jeans and steeltoe boots, drive transport trucks and megamachinery. These woman are savvy business people who negotiate internationally to sell their crops and run multimillion dollar farms. During harvest, all the kids in the neighborhood are on a rotating baby-sitting schedule because all the men and women are in the fields. Whenever I see these posts about wearing cottagecore dresses and playing farm princess, it just is hilarious delusional
Exactly, farm women or country women are majorly tough ,fearless, very strong phisically and mentally. They handle strong animals, usually know how to use guns. The list could go on and on. They still are feminine and beautiful inside and outside. But this trad wife youtubers do not show it like it is.
Farm women have always been badass, generations ago they may have not driven trucks but they were still tough no nonsense work horses. Honestly, a 9 to 5 office job is leisure life compared to that.
Its wild to me that Not Like Other Girls somehow went from "Make up and dresses is bad, being a tomboy is special and unique" to "Lets remove women's rights"
(apologies in advance for my english, my sentence might be poorly worded) I think whenever there's a new trend, or more like something that's generally common that becomes popular among girls/women of specific age, they get stereotyped based on that trend and girls who don't want to be put in the same box as the rest in order to avoid getting stereotyped by men, they present themselves as the opposite. A couple years ago, let's say in 2016-18, super bold, bronze makeup with thick brows was the trend, watching makeup artists on youtube was quite popular, a lot of girls would bleach their hair and use fake tan (and they ate that up fr) so those who wanted to be different from the rest and would portray themselves as the black sheep, nobody understands them etc would say stuff like "i'm not like other girls, i don't wear makeup and i listen to heavy metal" idk just an example. But going from 2020 and forward there was a big rise in women who would open up an OF account as an opportunity to make more money (that was during covid when a lot of people lost their jobs so taking on an online side hustle was a great way to make money fast) and then there was the rise of Andrew Tate who would preach about being a sigma male werewolf who rides into the sunset on his badass motorcycle or wtv and he would preach about trad gender roles, shit on western women which influenced a surprising amount of guys, especially those lonely guys who have no friends no father no mother no bitches no job no hobbies and NOW women who want to appeal to those men and put other women down in order to win brownie points from the boys like to portray themselves as God loving trad wives who think modern feminism is a mistake and women should only appeal to men. Even though the entire point of modern feminism is to be able to make the choice for yourself- like nobody's stopping you for living a traditional lifestyle if that's what speaks to you. Anyway sorry for the extra long comment
Everything is a reactionary grift these days. Right-wingers get bilked at every turn by anyone who has an in and no principles. It's this weird rightoid economy system that gets fed from the top by billionaires who want to not be taxed and hate minorities. So they employ any group that professes those ideas and you get a race to the fringe with ever more extreme statements to stand out from the sea of grifters. With the open collaboration of Christian institutions, conservative politicians and fascist demagogues, you see an increasingly solid front of right-wing counter-culture that dictates every aspect of your life on the right. And you go down the food chain of political advocation, you end up with trad wife influencers who hawk the delusion that a stay-at-home life in luxury is achievable or easy, and not isolating and fostering abuse. Because there is a stupid loser guy who wants to be pandered to, no matter what platform you're on. Trad wife influencers did not just happen. They are produced by a concerted effort on the right to take over the nation and turn it into a Christo-Fascist dictatorship.
@@vickokciv No, that makes some sense. And I like that it can be boiled down to "Blame Andrew Tate". Cuz really, the dude is awful. Any opportunity I get to make fun of him, I will take gladly.
I love it when traditionalists explain men. Men are strong, stable, unshakeable rocks, but at the same time you should excuse their infidelity because they are simple creatures who have to follow their desires.
Yes, they are strong and logical which is why us silly women must follow their logical leads because we're too emotional teehee. But also excuse his adultery because he was overwhelmed with lust.
“All I want it to live on a farm and take care of the children! And wear pretty dresses and pick fruit from our garden, instead of working myself to death for a 9-5 job 😢” You can tell none of these people never lived on a farm
all these women who grew up in suburban neighborhoods saying "all i want is to live on a farm and wear pretty dresses" have it hard coming once they learn that animals are nasty and working on a farm is taking care of the nasty. nothing like scooping hay covered in pee and poo out of barn stalls in my pretty floral sundress🧚♀️✨️
I was wondering that too 😂😂 the amount of dust, gross bugs, spiky little pieces of hay that get everywhere, sticky in sweat and sunblock, washing shit off your rubber boots and constant laundry + showers to get the barn smell off... Not something you would want to do in a summer dress and sandals.
I remember going on a field trip to a farm back in kindergarten and then it got interrupted by a rain storm. It was a lot messier than they think it is.😑
Also, farm women aren't tiny, skinny, or dressed in pristine white dresses and sun hats, they're absolutely ripped and covered in dirt most of the time, and I love it
"I don't want to have to work, I want to live on a farm." Girl, living on a farm is work beyond your comprehension and definitely beyond the hours of a 9 - 5.
5:20 4 steps of being trapped in potential abusive relationship lol. 1. Co dependency 2. Insecurity 3. Blind submission and ultimate yes man 4. Isolation from others And it would be fun if we find her husband having a podcast / tik tok where he is talking about respecting and caring for your wife. That would be a nice turn over but feels like a fever dream lol.
Well to be fair, Estee probably does not actually do these things. She is a grifter. If she really believed women should be subservient, not have careers and only be housewives, she wouldn't have monetized tiktok account where she expresses political opinions; essentially making a career out of being an influencer. Unless she is being forced to do this, which I doubt, this "tradwife" is using the benefits she gets from feminism to speak out against it. There is a reason why her husband is hardly ever seen in her videos. She’s selling this idea of a perfect wife to men, not actually being it.
My boyfriend really likes dinosaurs (he’s actually gonna be a paleontologist) so I’m carving him a wooden dinosaur for his birthday next month Edit: Also painting his favorite flowers on a tiny canvas if I have enough paint
I am an old school feminist. Work inside or outside the home, marry or stay single, have children or don’t have children, dress modestly or funky or sexily. Just decide what is right for yourself and do it and don’t let anyone tell you that your choice is wrong. Feminism started out as empowering women to live life as they felt comfortable with not how parents, spouses, and society thought they should live their lives.
@@rondrajaeev2957 The "Woman should have the same right as men" kind, I assume. Not the "Women need more power and be the better men" type, that a lot of people think about, if feminism is mentioned nowadays, because those "feminists" are the loud ones.
@@Leshantra By definiton they aren't feminists. Feminism is and has always been about equality. This is like a mest ester calling themselves vegetarian and everyone hating on vegetarianism. The hypocrite here is the meat eater, not the entire life style or world view.
@@Leshantra I hate how the narrative has swapped over the last few years. Lots of posts nowadays that mention feminism are filled with replies that talk about the difference between „old school“ and „new feminism?“. I never got that because of all the hours I spend browsing on the internet I have not seen a shift in how most women demand equal rights. But all of these comments are convinced that there has been a huge shift in feminism, which I genuinely have never seen. Can you link me some of your resources that track a shift in how the broader public conduct themselves in regards of feminism.
I was a tomboy and a somewhat "pick me" in highschool. I couldn't stand popular and beautiful girls and all of them were "bimbos" to me. I am ashamed to say that I actually thought I was better than them simply because I liked skating, rock and videogames. Now that I am an adult, I can say that I appreciate all types of girls and their uniqueness and it's honestly so much better to not be in competition with other women
No need to be ashamed - most of us are raised to care about what other people think, to buy into the idea that being beautiful and popular are top priorities. IDK about you, but I did aspire to be part of the popular kids' cliques until high school, when I realized that I would never fit in with or be accepted into that crowd, stopped trying, and went in the opposite direction. This was the early 90's, so I was all about the grunge - flannels, concert T's, long skirts, combat boots, as much black as possible, absolutely no pink...basically going out of my way to be weird and unattractive vs. making an attempt and risking rejection. Then somewhere along the way, I threw off the shackles of giving a fuck about what anyone else thought & embraced just being myself without regard to what "categories" I belonged to, and life became much more tolerable. Everyone is an individual, and at the end of the day, we're all just people. Competition and judgment are pointless in this context, though I can't say that I don't get judgey and borderline self-righteous at times, nobody's perfect (& some people do genuinely suck)😜
I kinda was a pick me, without any Intention of getting picked, since I Had Just as much Feeling of alienation with the Boys AS with the girls. IT was Not the girls stuff I did Not vibe with but the whole Teenage experience and messed Up priorities. I do Not Like WHO was Back then, but my Independence did me some good AS in never gotten into Alkohol, cigarets or Other drugs or neglecting school . . . .i am pretty immune to Pier pressure AS far AS one can BE, but I regret the disdain. I Just compleatly Lack all understanding forntheir Appeal and Had to learn I do Not have to to Just Accept IT without judgment
Same thing here, watched those teen dramas in early age and thought hating other girls would be cool. Used to hate pink color, make up,girl dresses (only wore boys clothes),hated anything womanly and many more . Now after all these years I sit in the corner cringing like heck everytime i remember those times 😬
yeah, i was a 'im not like other girls' a few years ago, but uh, tahts bc im a gay, im trans, and uh.... i had body dysphoria with anxiety and celiac and was taught bad things abt girls by disney
In middle school and a bit in high school I was bullied by your sterotypical mean girls so I developped a bias against girls with a lot of make up and expensive clothes and was bordering on being a pick me... :/ Now I am on a point were I am going to feel a little bit arkward at first but I don't think my way of spending my money is "better" than theirs I just can't relate (maybe because I used to be broke af lol)
It’s so sad and frustrating to watch women hate other women as a whole. It’s like they don’t realize they’re hurting and attacking themselves by doing that. They do it thinking toxic red pill men will give them more attention and validation for being “on their side”, but those kinds of men will never respect or care about them no matter what. They’re fighting a losing battle.
Yup. A comment mentioned above said the "pick me" is a pipeline towards "tradwife" to "boy mom". These women will end up being so miserable that they will take out their self hate onto their own daughters and or future daughter in laws. It's pathetic and sad.
So, all of these "tradwives" want to return to the "traditional family" of the 1950s… TV shows. Because that's the lifestyle they're describing: what was portrayed in 1950s TV shows. But it's worse than, "They wanna live in a TV-show." You see, all of those 1950s TV shows like "Father Knows Best," "The Donna Reed Show," "Leave It to Beaver," and so on, weren't even shows, they were _commercials._ They were full of product-placement for appliances, cars, and other products associated wtih life in the suburbs. In fact, those 1950s shows were _actually_ half-hour long advertisements for life in the suburbs. So what these people want to "return to" not only never existed, but was actually a 30-minute commercial in episode-form. _They want to live a lifestyle based on 1950s TV commercials._ How perverse is that?
somehow this is worse than weebs wanting to go to Japan expecting life would be like a Slice of Life anime Jesus Christ, what's wrong with these people?
@@crypticlol They're trying to live a lifestyle based on TV-commercials? Which if you think about it, is absolutely _unhinged._ I can tell you, from stories that my parents and aunts tell of growing up in the 1950s, that life _WAS NEVER LIKE_ what these "tRaDiTiOnAl FaMiLy" people think it was - _or_ anything like the 1950s TV shows, for that matter. That whole, "It takes a village," thing? Yeah, _that_ is how people lived: In _communities._ Even in the cities or the suburbs, you had _neighborhoods_ that acted socially in the same way that small villages did. Also, Capitalism hadn't torn apart extended families yet, so people still had aunts, uncles, great-aunts&uncles, grandparents, etc. still living relatively nearby. Nuclear families _aren't healthy._ Not for the kids. Not for the parents. It puts too much pressure on too few people. The _only_ time in history and across cultures when a "father+mother+kids"-family works is *_in the aristocracy_* … when that "family" also was independently wealthy and had an entire staff supporting them [if not actually doing most of the work of raising the kids].
These people have no clue what they are talking about and obviously never spent much time around women who actually lived through their supposed glory days. The crap they are going on about never was reality.
About the second girl, personally, I wouldn't exactly consider a 30 year old man looking to date a 20 year old woman and refusing to date other people in their 30s a "good boy"
@@sunsetanimator4187 To me as long as both are legally adults and there is no grooming or controlling or anything like that is fine. I think it’s ridiculous that people have a problem with 30 year old with a 20 year old. I mean if there is problems going on then yeah, but if relationships is healthy and haven’t met less then 18 then fine by me. Some 18-24 year old women are into men in their late 20s/early 30s. My only problem is that men lived shorter than women. I do have a problem if the age gap is old enough to be your parent.
@Headlessbot345 18 may be a adult legally but they really aren't it's Called eight-teen for a reason- anyone in there 30s or 22+ are creepy for going after people who are 18
All of these people owe their mothers an apology. Look at all the bs, "Being a stay-at-home mom is so easy! We just flit around in pretty dresses without a care in the world" posts. Parenting is difficult messy work, tending the homestead is laborious and time consuming. Anyone who says it isn't is living with their head in the clouds. "Why would I want to work a 9-5 with prescribed duties and a set schedule when I can spend every waking minute cooking, washing dishes, cleaning up chicken poo, chasing screaming toddlers around the house, meal planning, budgeting, changing dipers, baking bread from scratch, tending the garden, mending clothing, stopping the children from eating glue, giving the cats their medication, doing the shopping, beating the laundry against the rocks, and on and on and on. For women who find that kind of work fulfilling, I'm sure it's all worth it to see a yard full of laughing children and a table full of homegrown food at the end of the day. But it's loads of labor. Hours and hours of unpaid and underappreciated labor with no sick days and no vacation. Apologize to your mom for ever saying it was easy.
I would like to be a housewife because if I work 8am to 6pm, there is no time for the house chores, home cooked meal and taking care of myself and spending enough time with my children. When I work 8 to 6, I come home tired from work and all I want to do is sit and watch TV, no one takes care of anything and while the dirty laundry piles up till the weekend comes. Me and my boyfriend have to do everything on our weekends and by sunday we are so tired that all we want to do is sleep. Were is time to actually live? No, I would prefer to do it all on the weekdays instead of working, being done with everything when my boyfriend and our children are home and actually having something home cooked to eat because I actually had time and energy to do so. And our weekends for us not for housechores. To do something fun on the weekends instead of sleeping to get the energy back work and house-chores sucked us out of. That's why I would love to be a housewife, the things that actually have to be done would still have to be done even if I would work 8 to 6. I'm actually not a christian, I'm an Agnostic, my boyfriend is an Atheist and I don't want to be a tradwife like they portray it on tiktok, I want to be a housewife because I think life would be easier for the readons I already mentioned. I don't want to make butter from scratch or any other over the top unnecessary thing. I would just love to have the energy and time to take care of things. My boyfriend and I do the house chores together, and he too would love not needing to work. He does his own thing in hopes of becoming independent from any company. He wants us to be rich enough that anyone of us has to do anything to have a comfortable live but I really wouldn't mind if I could be a housewife. Unfortunately my boyfriend doesn't earn enough and even if I think it's important for any women to be financially independent. I wish the government would actually support women (and men if they want) to be seen as working when being a housewife and actually get payment and retirement. But nope they don't see it as an important or hard work.
I lived in reigons of China and now Canada, both places with hella mosquitos anytime the weather is even a little bit nice. Whenever I hear posts about "lying in the flower fields" or "In a sundress at the farmers market" or "gardening with a cute dress on" my first response is oh dang I can feel the mosquitos swarming me already
The "Making my squad because people my age don't like me" is just becoming codependent on your children for happiness. It's going to raise them to be codependent on you and push their own wants and needs aside because that's what they're used to
Just saying, the moment those kids turn 18, they are leaving, cuz they will get sick of the venting, trauma dumping, overbearing, and their mom constantly wanting to do everything together. Humans are social creatures, and if u limit ur social circle to people who are forced to spend time with u, it will get really bad
@@aleksabanjevic8316 that is if they get out of it relatively healthy. They could also never have learned to do the basic adult things on their own and now afraid to leave
Christian tradwives will literally talk about a dom/sub relationship with their spouse and then be like "This works for us so it works for everyone else too!" Edit: I just wanna say yall are absolutely right. True dom/sub relationships have consent and safewords, and unfortunately the tradwife lifestyle doesn't seem to have any.
Quite literally what it is. I'm personally convinced the whole "Tradwife" thing is a fetish that just became popular in the 50s, and just gets called "Traditional" because a lot of powerful Politicians/Pastors personally find it appealing.
It's really weird how they don't seem to get that different ppl like/want different stuff. Like, there's nothing wrong with being a house wife, ppl just don't like that that was the only option is all. A lot of conservatives seem to think that more options is somehow taking away their options, that more rights for others means less righs for them, almost like they think rights and freedom are a limited resource and if one group wants it, then another will loose them.
I'm convinced that all of the "frolicking in the fields" ones have never actually stepped foot on a farm. What do you think happens on them? Early starts, cattle poop, chickens/ducks who think they're bigger then they actually are, sheep who have very hard heads, ect.... it's not a fairy tail. Especially with climate change, crops are being flooded out, frosted over, burnt down and dehydrated. It's really stressful and makes this way funnier
Yeah, pretty Dresses are kinda the wrong attire for a Farm . . . I Love Dresses and historically one would have worn one working on a Farm, but they would have been robust and the apron has to BE changed and washed all the time . . . .No dizzy bows and pretty pastels.
I’m convinced they can’t tell the difference between an actual farm and just a cottage in the woods. “Well it’s all rural so it must be the same right??” Honey, no🤦 Pretty sure people like this just want like. A decent sized house in the woods with a garden- _maybe_ a chicken coop too-within walking distance to a farmer’s market. Like they just want to be the kind of rich people who choose to have mansions in rural parts with lots of surrounding land that they own. Their clear misunderstanding of what hard work is makes that much clear, it reeks of rich people wanting to “slum it with the peasantry”
Because they're rich and privileged and never had to do manual labour once in their lives, if they watched Yellowstone or something they'd see how much less glamorous agricultural and ranching actually is. Women always worked, at least the lower and middle class ones it's only the elites who could afford to not work and be pampered and stay at home with their kids all day.
“Dress how you want” vs “Dress modestly” implies they’re dressing modestly against their own will. Wouldn’t dressing modestly fall under ‘dress how you want’?
Exactly. I both believe this dress how you want is a thing that everyone should follow and I do dress how I want it just happens to be that I like wearing maxi dresses. The exception to this is when it's too hot to wear that because wearing something long sleeved to your ankles when it's 100° out is just a great way to get heat stroke
“I’m so happy I didn’t listen to modern feminists and have a man to take care of me! I don’t need a job! I just have this tiktok/Instagram where I spend hours to set up stages, put on makeup and fix my hair, do retakes, edit, promote, sell classes, push merch, and sponsorships for 8+ hours! So glad I don’t have a job and my husband (who we never see) takes care of me so I can care for my family (also never on camera)!”
"All I want it to live on a farm and take care of the children!" Me: Okay that's fine. " And wear pretty dresses and pick fruit from our garden, instead of working myself to death for a 9-5 job 😢” Me: .... *looks down at my muddy shoes and pants* ...Yeah, this woman is living in a children's picture book fantasy if she thinks dirt and pretty dresses mix. Even the ladies of the yee ol' olden days didn't wear their pretty dresses, they wore their skirts they didn't mind getting mud on.
You know, I would LOVE to see them pick apples in a pretty dress for 6 hours during harvest. Or even 3... I also would love love love to see them in a pretty dress enter a greenhouse to water the crops in there. Can I watch. Please? It would be like a 90s step mom coming to a horse ranch and seeing that IRL would be the highlight of a lifetime! I do wish meaner things too but... I am actually a nice person and deep down I do want them to learn what clothing is suitable and not actually spook them off forever, just have a little initiation fun. XD
@@AmbiCahiraYeah, I had to go through a similar situation with my shoes when I started gardening seriously. I knew jeans would be the best thing to wear, but it took a while with shoes. I'm sure I looked real funny for a while there and I don't care because it was funny.
@@girl1213 At some point I gave up on shoes, but I also grew up on a more produce-centered "farm" than an animal centered one. So mostly weeding and watering than dodging animal shit.
Imagine if she actually had to live like the women in 50s and 60s when they couldn't even own a credit card in their own name. You needed a man to do anything important, women were basically sec9nd class citizens. These women on tiktok are just little girls playing dress up. Such a slap in the face to women who fought for the future generation to have equal rights.
My mom told me something that reminds me of those “wanna be a scientist vs raised x scientists” posts: My mom doesn’t brag to her friends about me or my sisters, she’ll tell people about us when asked but never unprompted. This is because, in her words, our achievements and lives are not hers, they are our own. They’re nothing for her to brag about because we were the ones who did it. Not only are there very important jobs that aren’t “scientist”, living your whole life with the goal of raising multiple kids in difficult/brag-worthy fields puts way too much pressure on those kids if they don’t want that career path. Your kid is not your trophy, people!!
"Your kid is not your trophy, people!!" Yep, my parents don't understand this. I can be struggling and they'll complain about what that looks like for their image. I can be dealing with a bunch of health issues and they'll just bitch I'm not giving them enough things to brag about.

When my friend saw all of her extended family right after her graduation, her parents got more praise and compliments than her. They also plan their life (studies, marriage, outings)... Raising kids should be selfless and I am glad your mother got that.
I love how all the stay at home wives are claiming they get to just stay home and bake…. Their homes must be disgusting. Do they not mop, clean bathrooms, vacuum, do laundry, clean the kitchen, getting groceries, etc. And that’s without even adding kids into the mix. Being a SAHM is a full time job - and I mean full time, as in you are on call 24/7/365. And what’s with all the women who think they can milk cows and run a farm while wearing sundresses?
Most of them are rich women who have a cleaning service that comes in and cleans and the others are grifters who are either single or married and have no kids
My parents were high energy. Even if mom not in a traditional job she would be at home preparing to sell things for fairs and made me come along haul milk to businesses as a kid. Kids did daily chores, she used financial knowledge for home and business did the emergency deliveries, dad did cooking and meeting because he’s social. Everyone had a cleaning schedule that changed the longer they stayed home. We weren’t scared of being home alone because we could work or do homework until parents got home then family time.
An important caveat here is that men are generally bad at lifting their weight in terms of home tasks, so working women wind up doing a lot of the domestic work anyway. Being a tradwife does involve a lot of work but if you have to do that work either way I can see why it seems easier than working a 9-5 on top
5:30 Girl, you are describing what a Domestic Abuser does to his victims. That level of control, the tracking of your every movement, the social isolation - all of that are things that men who _abuse_ their spouses do. Anyone reading this: This chick is in an abusive relationship. If your partner starts making similar demands of you, _run!_
Her face actually looks like she wants to cry, imo. If someone told me her husband took those pictures of her and posted them with those quotes, I would believe it.
@@rosequartzjewelryllc Aye... I guess, if it's not a demand but actually something you've both agreed to and both enjoy or are fully comfy with and either one of you could nope out at any time without judgment or retaliation, fine-but otherwise, naahhhh.
It’s so funny how these women think that birth control is just for “birth control”. It is a pretty misleading name, but it’s used for more than that. I had to go on birth control because my periods were so bad that I’d end up bedridden for a week each month and was missing way too much school. And, as a trans guy, the fact that it stopped my period completely is a huge plus 😉 But seriously, these people need to do research before declaring something as evil or unneeded 😂
My control pill which gives a "fake period" made my "period" regular for the first time in my life. I can function the first day and I'm less anxious about unwanted children. Me and hub are not ready yet but I still have severe anxiety, even when the contraceptive is working I sometimes buy a test to be sure. But it does help with the level of anxiety
They do know and they don't care at all how much pain you are in and they definitely don't want you to use it as gender affirming care. Glad you have access to it for any and every reason you need it 💜
The romanticising of homesteading as clean and easy is wild. To think you are not working as hard as a ceo when you are cleaning an entire house, cooking for a family, raising children, taking care of cows and chickens. GURL, that is like 7 jobs. It is 24/7 and you don't get a break! Your kids and animals will need you during the night too!
Literally they're insane, my dad's grandfather lived in a mud hut in the butt fok middle of nowhere in Saskatchewan and had 11 mouths to feed but apparently that's "glamorous" and "attractive" to them. Bestie stop that's literally what living in poverty was like you're wanting to gentrify and cosplay as the poor and working class get help
Just curious, but what exactly can the average 40 year old woman provide to the relationship? Unlike women men generally don't care whether or not the woman has money, so it can't be that. 40 isn't really a good age to have children either, which is a much bigger deal for women than it is for men. As someone who's with someone roughly my own age I think you're ignoring the practical aspect of this, and instead straw-manning a few rage-baiters on the internet.
@@vikingraven4758 This is an incredibly suspect thing to say under a comment about how gross it is that people will date someone half their age *just* for sex. The point is to not objectify women, and what did you do? Objectify women. Romantic partners are more than just vending machines you enter kindness tokens into and hope sex or children or even a paycheck pops out. You’re supposed to actually _like_ the person you’re dating, as in you could just be sitting still next to them doing absolutely nothing but you’re still happy because you’re around someone you really like. For someone who claims to be in a romantic relationship, I’m surprised I have to explain the concept of love to you.
@@lachma26 I think a relationship is an exhausting enterprise, and requires compromise from both parties to work. So unless you’re getting something from it that is more fulfilling than not being in that relationship, then you won’t really feel compelled to enter the relationship to begin with. Love is nice, but I can love you without sleeping or living with you.
@@vikingraven4758 If you say that, then you haven't found the right person. Being in a relationship is the easiest thing in the world. They're your confidante, your best friend, your lover, your biggest supporter and someone who shares your burdens - all in one. So yeah, a 40 yo woman has a lot to offer.
I remember being so confused why people had this separation with hanging out boy vs girl. I was autistic and bisexual everyone was equally confusing lol.
I always find the "innate nature of women" argument to be so funny because when I was a child I heard that microwaves could make you infertile, so I would always stick my navel up to the microwave when I used it so I wouldn't be able to have kids🤣 Goes without saying I never had a maternal instinct, but shout out to those who do and enjoy that life (who also don't hate on women like me for choosing to be childfree)✌
I don't have a single motherly/maternal bone in my body, I mean I was even annoyed by other kids when I was a kid. For these people to claim that women naturally have motherly instincts is infuriating. Even mothers giving birth (to children that they've always wanted) can experience indifference to their child once they've been born, and I'm not even talking about postpartum depression. A lot of new moms also don't even have natural instincts to know how to actually care for a child. After I was born, my mom couldn't understand why I was crying so much and didn't know what to do and my dad suggested that I was hungry. It took a man to figure out that I needed some boob lol. But yea, not dissing anyone that loves children and wants a ton of them, it just doesn't come natural to some people.
Me too! I never tried to sterilize myself but I knew from a VERY early age I wasn't a "normal girl" (and let's be clear that the "normal girl" propaganda is an absolute load of shite). It locked me out of a lot of fun things because if something was "girly" I ran away from it because I didn't want anyone to take my interest as permission to try to force "womanhood" on me (e.g. babies, housework, and submit to your husband). But that rebellion was never about "girl things," it was about wanting to have control over my own life and my own body.
Hahaha...the comment about "I want to milk the cows and feed the chicks" as if it's an "easy" life. LOL. Homesteading and farm life are similar but NOT the same and BOTH require a LOT of MANUAL labor outside of making sourdough and feeding the chicks. You literally have to get up when the rooster tells you to get up, gather the eggs from the chickens before they turn into chicks, feed the other chickens, milk the cow AFTER you clean her utters (make sure the bucket is clean), feed the cows and horses, clean out the stalls, lay new hay, then you make breakfast, take the kids down the driveway to get on the bus (if you're not homeschooling), clean the house and other farm chores, cook lunch, cook dinner, and if you're lucky your hubby will thank you for all of the hard work you've put in and maybe pat you on the butt for a job well done. THEN you get to do it all over again. Oh...and your day usually starts about 5AM and ends 10PM or 11PM. Yep. Real "easy" life. Oh...and there are ZERO "sick days" and ZERO "vacation days" until your kids are old enough to handle the farm while you and your hubby get away for a weekend!
It’s so weird how common it is in these videos for these woman to show a lack of understanding towards how hard it is to run a farm. You’d think considering this is the life they want to pursue, they’d atleast do research
Not to mention the randomness of being at the mercy of nature. Other things you have to deal with include a lack of rain, pest control (last summer I learned about cabbage moths in my tiny garden), disease showing up in your crops, animals, and family, lack of amenities depending on how far you are from a city, and depending on where you live, large corporations meddling in the area you live (water rights, lawsuits over seed usage, land usage disputes, etc.). Oh, and depending on where you live, good luck finding a plot of land at a price you can actually afford.
I grew up with parents who wanted the 'farm life', but were too lazy to actually do anything beyond buying some chickens and planting a decent sized garden. Sadly, they failed to realise how hard that would be and as such made me tend it all on top of school so yeah... I can't even imagine how hard full on farm or homestead life would be and i can tell ya. None of these people understand either.
To Trad Wives: what happens if your husband gets bored and leaves? What happens if he dies? That first one was definitely a grift. Most Trad Wife pages are. Real trad wives don’t have jobs and they definitely wouldn’t be allowed (by their husbands) to post on social media. It’s just a trend right now.
The thing is these trad wives are indoctrinated Christian women who have been led to believe in what they are saying and that they are actually trad wives even though they are not
The duck? I don't understand the negative attitude, their choice and privilege to be traditional, and is not nice to wish/imply infidelity because "boring" just because you don't see the appeal or you dont agree with a different life style. Even worse, death? Literally uncalled question/scenario, as the answer would be them finding a job, after GRIEVING
What happens when their husband leaves them for a younger and more naive girl? Then the trad ex wife is left with a 10 year gap on her resume (assuming she worked at all), no college, no employable skills, and she has kids she needs to feed so she has to apply for food stamps, that her ex husband voted against while telling her that they aren't aligned with their conservative values because food stamps are "free handouts"
It’s crazy there are women (and men) that can’t let their partners hang out with the opposite sex w/o them. If ur worried ur SO is going to cheat on u the second they get away from u…then that’s a serious problem with the relationship.
tbh, there's a lot of assholes that simply doesn't give a fuck with relationship I met a guy who breakup with people 5 times, all because of cheating But yeah, I agree this is too much tho
I feel like half of them aren't actually married and the other half know he has a mistress and are trying to act like they don't care because they are "the wife" and she is "just the mistress". I'm like, either be okay with it or deal with him and leave. Don't make it into a personality type or a morality flex competition.
My biggest problem with pick mes is bashing the other side. I want to be a stay at home mom and wife and write books in my freetime while my partner works. That should be the end of the statement. Bc you know what? My sister wants to be a doctor. My best friend wants to be a biochemist. The point of feminism is I can choose to be a stay at home wife. But they can be scientists if they want to.
…and the other point of feminism was that _men_ could be _stay at home dads_ if that's what they wanted and that's what they were better at. And there should be no stigma in that, either. But everyone misses that last part.
This, this!!! My best fiends and I are all very different and we love eachother anyways. one is married but goes swinging with her wife, one is a single mom and total romantic, one is a single aro ace who thinks weddings are a waste of money.... I was still happy for my friend cause the wedding made her happy! One works a low paying job that makes her available to her kid, one makes a doc of biology, one learned carpenter but is to sick to work the job.... We all have different priorities and drives and neither devalue the other. 2 don't want children, so we just spoil the thirds as auntie's, no judgment... I find the echo chamber trend of you can only surround yourself with people same as you so weird and worrying
I had to have a hysterectomy at 30 and my reproductive organs were already useless by then. That didn’t make me a bad Christian or a bad wife. And my parents raised me to take care of myself because husbands die, or leave, or lose their health and/or jobs. Also, I was taught that children belong in homes with parents who can actually care for them.
Ikr?! All the people taking about owning a farm like it's easier than an office job have never done farm work. Same with the ones talking about being a sahm like it's not work too.
5:58 so what she forgot to mention is the line in the Bible that husbands must love their wives. That's something a lot of red pill folk forget; while the Bible does say that wives need to submit, in the next line it said that husbands need to love and care for their wives. We are not the property of men
Telling your husband where youre going is smart, but asking permission sounds very annoying like "honey can i go to the store to get us groceries?" Like... No shit yea? Why are you asking? Unless you two have plans that day and you want to change it you dont really need to ask permission and ot goes both ways its called respect and trust, if you cant trust your partner to even go somewhere why are you with them
She might not be able to drive (disability of some kind as with me and my dad and I'm well over 18, wish I'd grown out if them as expected by other adults lol) and he can, and there's no buses and actual taxis are expensive to go half an hour away from home. So you kind of need to know he's able to be the taxi so permission is needed.
@@tomlxyz I could agree to that but I still don't think that's really asking permission, that's more like "I'm about to head out do you need anything before I go?"
@@tomlxyzyeah like me and my husband both usually ask "Do you/ have some plans?" or "Do you need a car this weekend or can I take it" but I don't understand asking partners opinions on my own plans that don't include them and vice versa. Of course for safety reasons it's different, but that is different thing.

Socialism is cooler than capitalism tbh, but people are too easily-corrupt when in power so I'd say social democracy works the best, in my opinion. That's what Scandinavian countries have, they're social democracies. It's still capitalism, but if capitalism had a face-full of makeup and a nice little bow on its head so it looks less ugly and rigged. It's capitalism with a massive welfare state, so more free stuff, less homelessness and affordable necessities. All the things america needs, tbh.
2:05 And doesn't she realize how things like stressful jobs negatively affect men as well? This shouldn't be an argument for "traditional" (actually just 50 years old) gender roles; this should be an argument against 21st century capitalism.
YES YES YES YESSSSS, FINALY SOMEONE SAID IT. "oh I don't wanna work 12 hours for a boss who treats me badly, I don't get payed for enough and is running my physical and mental health and social life..... Well obviously this is cuz of feminism, obviously only women suffer in a work environment" NO U TARD, IT'S CUZ MODERN CAPITALISM IS FUCKED, NO ONE LIKES IT

The whole "why work on your career when you can stay home" argument really grates me at the moment. If I hadn't worked on my career, then I would have been royally ****** when my husband decided to walk out! Luckily I have my job, and my plans to progress my career so I'm able to stand on my own 2 feet, and raise my 2 boys while doing so. Maybe cos I've learnt - the painful way - that I don't want to rely on a bloke for my home/bills/groceries/finances etc. And I can still bake, just my kids eat it instead, and less washing up after, so win win!
Unfortunately if you tried to make that argument with these women they would just victim blame and claim that if you had been a trad wife he wouldn't have left you completely ignoring the fact that A man leave Housewives plenty often and B there's still the possibility of him dying or becoming too disabled to work. My granny is a prime example of the ladder in the late sixties she was a housewife racing for kids when one day my grandfather just dropped dead of a heart attack she was lucky enough to have some Financial stability cuz my grandfather had a successful business but she did have to get a job and figure things out on her own. There's no guarantees in life and these pick mes would do well to remember that
What's weird to me about these debates is how all the traits are so strongly categorized. Like what if there's a tradwife with bright hair dye? A hardcore feminist who wears sun dresses and likes to cook? People are individuals.
Isn't the blond in the tight pink sweater literally involving the whole world in her business by posting all of this? Plus, IF you're having martial issues, the Church WILL and DOES advise you! They have for centuries! So..."keeping disputes" to yourself is really NOT a good thing. IF you're in an abusive relationship and your spouse requires you to have that 360 app, it's because they do not trust you and most likely they are having an affair which is why they don't trust you because they project their affair onto the spouse who isn't cheating! Happens all of the time. IF you're in an abusive relationship, DO NOT "submit". Go to the police or find assistance online. Do not listen to some telling you to just "deal with it". Stay safe. Stay strong. It's YOUR life.
The church advises you? Generally that 'advice' consists of shaming an abused woman into staying with her husband because divorce is a sin and it's probably her fault when he rapes and beats her.
And honestly to add, about that bible verse about wife submits to their husband, a few verses later, it follows by saying their husbands should love their wives and be willing to give anything for their wives so it’s a little bit put out of context.
I read something the other day that went something like, "The whole point of feminism was to give women the choice! You can choose to be in the kitchen, wearing dresses, or being a housewife (if you're able to) and you can choose to go to college, you have the right to vote, open a bank account, and be single. Yea the world sucks a whole lot and equality is a long way out but we have the option and I for one am grateful for all the women that came before us who fought for our rights and all the women, people with uteruses, and everyone in between who still fight.
That first woman makes me so upset as a Christian feminist. Feminism is supported by the Bible, he supports equality between both genders and women being able to choose what they want to do with their lives. Several times in the Bible it calls out corrupt people for treating women like property which was the societal norm of that time. If she wants to be a stay-at-home mom and quit working a job good for her! But she can't tell other women that they have to do that too. Just thought I’d add this (4days later) in case you're curious I'm currently in a Bible college under the Assemblies of God denomination and after I graduate I will be perusing youth ministries. If you want to know what I believe then look up the AG doctrines. And as a side note, I'm not interested in arguing about my religion or why you think it's stupid. If you wouldn't argue with someone Jewish, Muslim, or pagan about why their beliefs are dumb then dont come after mine. The gist of my beliefs is, that God created man and woman equally, women are allowed to take leadership roles if they want to, submission does not mean relinquishing control over one’s life, and women have no right to tell other women what they should and should not do with their lives. That last statement is the one that is most relevant to this video and was the entire reason for me making this comment.
correct. the idea that Jesus didn't support equality between men and women was decades after his death when the fake self-proclaimed "apostle" Paul complained in his letters that women should remain silent.

You only get pretty dresses, feeding chicks on the homestead for a few weeks in the year. Its mostly shovelling dirt or shit in Wellies and an old jumper in the rain, or dying in the heat. A lot of people are gonna be very disappointed
24:57 LOL, actually one of the main tasks generally done by women in premodern societies was textile production (Mainly stuff like making cloths). Without modern technology that’s incredibly time consuming and around 90% of the work is consumed by spinning fiber into threads, which means literally turning a wheel for hours each day to wind fiber (from cotton, wool, etc.) into useable threads. So yay, instead of working a nine to five desk job you have to spin a wheel for hours each day. Also don’t expect a bunch of pretty dresses, that much time and labor is *expensive* and all your children still need warm clothes for the winter. Oh, and if you fail to meet your deadlines, instead of you getting fired, the winter takes little Billy. So, who of you wants to reject modernity and become a *actual* tradwife? Any takers?
8:32 don't know what kind of farm she wants to live on, but on this earth there's no way she'll be able to wear fancy dresses, bake, raise the kids and take care of thousands of chickens and cows by herself.
Yup. She'll totter around in old boots and work clothes, hoping the children are old enough to bake for themselves because she just doesn't have the time or energy to care for them on top of the animals.
For the more grifty sort of pastors, it's almost a requirement to have some sort of dark past involving drugs, crime or satanism, which they'll claim Jesus saved them from. The whole "I did OF and then found religion" schtick has the same energy to it.
I'll be uncomfortably honest for a second. When i was in my 20s i was a in the pick-me, internalized misogyny zone. As i grew out of that, I realized that liking "not girlie things" had isolated me growing up. I liked pretty things too, but i sucked at performing feminity in a more "normal" way. This probably made me defensive and a bit bitter. So when I finally got a bf after high school, he and his friends thought I was "cooler that most chicks" for all the reasons that isolated me before. I'm glad it didn't take me long to reassess this attitude and make more women friends. It made me feel more real, and much happier, and reminded me that no one should shame me for what I like, but that goes the other way as well. Just a reminder that young people can be very dumb and wrong, but be a couple years and a couple new friends from chilling the f**k out. Edit for typo
To every single pick-me out there: Grow tf up! It’s okay to want to be a sahm/tradwife/housewife whatever you want to call it; it’s okay to not like makeup; it’s okay to like stuff that are seen as “boy things” like video games or cars; it’s okay to have guy friends; what’s not okay is pushing other people down just to bring yourself up. I mean come on people, I thought stuff like this was taught in kindergarten.
I don't wear makeup, find it a waste of time, occasionally I might use it but I really don't have that kinda motivation to wake up earlier just to put something on that I'm probably gonna accidentally rub off anyways. I also can act feminine in terms of enjoying dresses and long skirts, although those are definitely more gender neutral to me. From this video, and my own experiences, I can pretty much confirm that anyone who refers to women as "Females" is either a Nice Guy™ or a Pick Me Girl™
im baffled at all the people stating "i dont want a 9-5, but i want to own a farm" do they not know how much work tending a farm is? like, even if its a small farm with a few crops and a few animals, youre still working on there every day to keep it running, you wont have time for much "frollicking in the fields" because youre gonna be too busy keeping your animals fed and keeping your crops from dying, on top of housework which is also a shit ton of work if you gotta do it on your own.
Convinced these people actually want to be trust fund babies with a large cottage in the woods but they straight up don’t know the difference between that and an actual farm.
Bro I just have a small garden and it’s WORK. I can’t imagine actual acreage with living animals and whole FIELDS of crops. 💀 Let alone the expense that goes into keeping it all going. These women are delusional for sure to think it’s easy.
I hate when people don't keep these things to themselves. I hate soccer, and I'm from Brazil which means soccer is everywhere, but I don't rant on the internet about this, I just avoid it and I indulge in what I like, cartoons, drawing, stand ups, music, some games, and I forget all about the things I hate and I just have an amazing time not hurting or annoying anyone
If only the Fans would have the Same mentality. I dislike soccer way more then Other Sports cause IT gets forced onto everyone!!! Why?! Cant WE Just all have our own Hobbies and interests without trying to shove IT down other peoples throats?! ITS kinda hard keeping Not liking IT to yourself If everyone trys to force you to participate . . . .

DINK is actually an old term as well. It stands for Dual Income, No Kids. If you watch the show Fairly Oddparents, the neighbors are the DINKleburgs. The reason Timmy's dad is jealous of them is because he wishes he never had Timmy. This is made clearer in several episodes where he outright states Timmy crushed his dreams.

Not to be ageist or whatever but I can't take any marriage advice seriously if you're under 30-35, or haven't been married for at least 8 years. Especially when the advice is "don't have any independence or a plan b".
Idk about that, i can think of plenty older people with longer marriages that have crappy marriages. I think when it comes to relationship advice you usually have to "rethink" it because the person giving it usually gives advice in reference to their personal preference in a relationship which are never identical to other's relationships
@@tomlxyz Agreed! I wished my parents to get divorced. When I asked they said "we're too old to divorce". I guess they actually liked fighting and complaining all the time. Not my preferred version of "marriage".
Also, some people are together for a long time before getting married. My husband and I will have been married for two years in July. Just after that we will have been together for 14 years. So whilst marriage may be a little different, (though we haven't found that it has changed anything, except my last name) we can certainly give advice to people on relationships in general, as we have been very happy for those 14 years and know very well what it takes to make it work. And we know people who have been married for at least 8 years who we would never take advice from, as they are most definitely not a couple anyone should aspire to be like.
@@ecofriendlyadventures5154 Yes, you're absolutely right. I think being in a committed relationship for that long definitely counts as far as giving advice goes. I was thinking that many of the people in this video don't seem like they've even married or in a relationship for long. I've seen some men who become more unpleasant when a woman ages, or when they get bored of her, so that's where I was coming from.
I agree. Reminds me of this TikTok couple hunter and maya who deal out marriage advice and haven’t even been married 2 years. Ur gonna grow and change so much thru out ur marriage. Advice is welcome but not required.

It is absolutely wild to me that the not-like-other-girls trend has changed from "tomboy who doesn't realize pretty girls also have hobbies" to "actually I wish women never got rights"
At first I thought you wish women never got rights, but i understood now... I wish i didn't
Insecurity, one is just teenage insecurity but they grow out of it, while the other is women with a teenage mindset while in adulthood.
I hated skirts and dresses as a kid but I enjoy wearing them occasionally as an adult just because I'm in the mood to be a bit more feminine
These girls fr just don't understand that you can be different without making your entire personality revolve around being different, and you'd think that after enough memes like these they'd realize that they, in fact, _are_ like other girls lmao
Yeah, it seems much more extreme than back in my day in the mid 2000s

I would love to take this kind of women to work on an actual farm. But feminists demonize it
Fun fact: being a stay-at-home housewife who doesn't work and just takes care of the home is a very "rich, white American" thing.
Why do you think it's called a "Tradwife"?

Also y'all underestimate what it actually takes to live on a homestead
@@detected_chaos735 I dunno I played stardew valley and it seems pretty easy \s
The history of the women's suffrage movement in the USA and England is fascinating and deeply enmeshed in class-- most of the leaders and most visible members of the movement were middle-class women who had the leisure time to devote to the cause. Working class women definitely were willing to fight for the vote but their efforts were often rejected by middle class activists because they thought it was bad optics. In the US that went double for black women. It is really interesting, messy history
For sure. The only time I've ever felt the need to "un-alive myself" was when I was a stay at home mom.

They want the cottagecore aesthetics of a backyard garden they can show on social media, but think farm is the way to do it.
This is straight up TRUTH
If simply having a friend of the opposite sex is what "causes" you to have an affair, then you weren't worth marrying in the first place.

i went to an ivy league school - the women were by far more engaged with the material and made better points, but the men would just reword and repeat the same point and get more praise from the other men in the room. men and women are capable of being incredibly intelligent but men have learned they can just take women’s points and get credit. if they weren’t taught that im sure we’d all be making equal points. also, intelligent people tend to congregate with other intelligent people. so if youve never heard a woman say something intelligent…. ive got news for you. there is an exception with some specific intelligent men who know their intellect can get them laid/attention from women, so naturally plenty of women who are not academically intelligent will interact with loads of these men and very few intelligent women

Yeah! What is happening? Everything is flipped to its head. Nuts.

Same thing here, watched those teen dramas in early age and thought hating other girls would be cool.

It tells me that they haven’t learned to love themselves. I feel sad for these women, they don’t realize they have inherent value.
So, all of these "tradwives" want to return to the "traditional family" of the 1950s… TV shows.
Because that's the lifestyle they're describing: what was portrayed in 1950s TV shows.
But it's worse than, "They wanna live in a TV-show."
You see, all of those 1950s TV shows like "Father Knows Best," "The Donna Reed Show," "Leave It to Beaver," and so on, weren't even shows, they were _commercials._ They were full of product-placement for appliances, cars, and other products associated wtih life in the suburbs. In fact, those 1950s shows were _actually_ half-hour long advertisements for life in the suburbs.
So what these people want to "return to" not only never existed, but was actually a 30-minute commercial in episode-form. _They want to live a lifestyle based on 1950s TV commercials._ How perverse is that?
somehow this is worse than weebs wanting to go to Japan expecting life would be like a Slice of Life anime
Jesus Christ, what's wrong with these people?
@@crypticlol They're trying to live a lifestyle based on TV-commercials? Which if you think about it, is absolutely _unhinged._
I can tell you, from stories that my parents and aunts tell of growing up in the 1950s, that life _WAS NEVER LIKE_ what these "tRaDiTiOnAl FaMiLy" people think it was - _or_ anything like the 1950s TV shows, for that matter.
You can't explain that to them though, their brains can't handle it 😂
THIS!!!!!!
About the second girl, personally, I wouldn't exactly consider a 30 year old man looking to date a 20 year old woman and refusing to date other people in their 30s a "good boy"
@Slayy05asame fr, that’s sickening whoever thinks men looking to date women that much younger than them have issues.
At that age i and girls my age would refer to 30 y.o dudes as old men.The ones who tried to hit on me caused me so much cringe.
@@sunsetanimator4187
To me as long as both are legally adults and there is no grooming or controlling or anything like that is fine.
There’s nothing wrong with 30s dating 18-24, but when they only want women 18-25/29 then I see it as a problem.

Depending on the baby it can take 10mn or fcking hours
Except that they are not even in a true dom/sub relationship but the Christian forced version
Is pegging my husband an acceptable dom/sub relationship ?
“Well it’s all rural so it must be the same right??” Honey, no🤦
Pretty sure people like this just want like.
Frolic in the fields in a dress and come out with twenty ticks
I’m convinced they’ve never been to an actual farm. All you smell is animal 💩 everywhere you go
Because they're rich and privileged and never had to do manual labour once in their lives, if they watched Yellowstone or something they'd see how much less glamorous agricultural and ranching actually is.

My mom told me something that reminds me of those “wanna be a scientist vs raised x scientists” posts:
My mom doesn’t brag to her friends about me or my sisters, she’ll tell people about us when asked but never unprompted.

This is the greenest parenting flag I've ever heard of my God

Just curious, but what exactly can the average 40 year old woman provide to the relationship? Unlike women men generally don't care whether or not the woman has money, so it can't be that. 40 isn't really a good age to have children either, which is a much bigger deal for women than it is for men. SO TRUE
Microwave doesn't work like that.

Give them one afternoon of mucking horse stalls and they'll never leave their cushy apartment again
Their farm life knowledge limited to Stardew Valley and movies
Not to mention the randomness of being at the mercy of nature. Other things you have to deal with include a lack of rain, pest control (last summer I learned about cabbage moths in my tiny garden), disease showing up in your crops, animals, and family, lack of amenities depending on how far you are from a city, and depending on where you live, large corporations meddling in the area you live (water rights, lawsuits over seed usage, land usage disputes, etc.). Oh, and depending on where you live, good luck finding a plot of land at a price you can actually afford.

That should be the end of the statement. Bc you know what? My sister wants to be a doctor. My best friend wants to be a biochemist.
The point of feminism is I can choose to be a stay at home wife. But they can be scientists if they want to.
Lowkey that’s something I want too. Too bad I can’t afford it in this economy
…and the other point of feminism was that _men_ could be _stay at home dads_ if that's what they wanted and that's what they were better at. And there should be no stigma in that, either.
But everyone misses that last part.

You need uniform to fight in a war
Dont have much to say about your comment, but „martial issue“ is just a very funny typo

I'll be uncomfortably honest for a second. When i was in my 20s i was a in the pick-me, internalized misogyny zone. As i grew out of that, I realized that liking "not girlie things" had isolated me growing up. I liked pretty things too, but i sucked at performing feminity in a more "normal" way. im baffled at all the people stating "i dont want a 9-5, but i want to own a farm" do they not know how much work tending a farm is? like, even if its a small farm with a few crops and a few animals, youre still working on there every day to keep it running, you wont have time for much "frollicking in the fields" because youre gonna be too busy keeping your animals fed and keeping your crops from dying, on top of housework which is also a shit ton of work if you gotta do it on your own.

@@tomlxyz Agreed! I wished my parents to get divorced. When I asked they said "we're too old to divorce". I guess they actually liked fighting and complaining all the time. Not my preferred version of "marriage".

So whilst marriage may be a little different, (though we haven't found that it has changed anything, except my last name) we can certainly give advice to people on relationships in general, as we have been very happy for those 14 years and know very well what it takes to make it work.
