- First time trying out a Ford 16-47 Ford Combine we purchased from an auction this summer. It had been stored inside a shed for several years since last used. It worked great.

I love seeing the old equipment out in the field still running , I really enjoy your video's and getting to see Ford equipment of every kind cause you guys have some Ford stuff I've never seen before ! Bandit
Thanks. We have a lot of fun with all of it. Nothing better than bringing an old piece back to life.
@@ford9000puller I really enjoy your video's because you show Ford equipment that when I was young saw and used sometimes work with the neighbors. Ford equipment was not used much in this area so it was nice to see a different color on a farm. I seen pictures of a lot of Ford equipment but you didnt seen much in the fields around here. You have equipment I've never seen before like the small Ford SP combine with the 2 row corn head on it that I didnt know they even made ! Your not a collector you guys use the equipment in the fields and that is what I like to see ! Bandit
I like your 971. Dad had a 951 in the 50s and 60s.
Enjoyed the video! Brings back memories of Dad doing beans with the Massey Clipper. Combine looks like it works great with that sharp 971 wide front.
Nice job, Derrick
Never saw any of those small Ford combines around here. Were a few of the Ford / Clauss machines. There were a lot of the tractors though, they were the small farmers delight!
I grew up useing a 601 and combine like that but ours didn’t have the grain tank we had to put in bags .
I'm not much for SOS tractors but that sure is a nice one!
Awesome
Last family farm is down in Eldon..
You need to paint the combine thanks for sharing
It’s on the long to do list. I usually like to run the equipment I bring home first to work the bugs out before painting
Woods brothers make that
It’s basically a newer version of the Dearborn Woods Brothers. Ford changed from the Dearborn name to Ford on the implements in 1955. There are a few improvements to the Ford pull type vs the Dearborn Woods Brothers but overall design is very similar
Does it have power steering?
Yea the tractor does
Does your 971 have a live pto?
Since it’s a 971 it is a Select O Speed which has independent pto. Runs off hydraulic clutch pack in the trans with a handle on the dash to turn on and off.
@@ford9000puller ok thanks
@@ford9000puller nice tractor. does your select o speed work as it should?
