Larger brands such as Bianchi should absolutely test the Market with bikes like this. They may stumble on certain products but they can afford it. If every brand were to stick with the current generation we would have no advancement in the sport and we would all be riding vélocipèdes. I’m a proud owner of this bike, for comparison last year I rode with an SL7 Sworks. The Oltre is stiffer and faster up to 6/7 % climbs. The SL7 is more compliant to dad cyclists due to a more relaxed geometry, the Oltre is a race bike without any compromise. It requires a very aggressive fit, but if the rider is capable to sustain it the bike becomes a bullet. I’m in love with it

@@geko7843 Most people can’t even put a respectable wattage on bikes. If that’s the case this bike is definitely not for them. Looks are subjective and I don’t argue with them. Since you proposed it, I also rode all 3 versions of the venge, and while the stiffness of the seatpost is similar to the 2019 disc model, the front of the bike is less wobbly and you feel more in control.

Got myself the oltre RC for 2 weeks now. My verdict: fast, stable, comfy but heavy. Surprisingly climbs better than the lighter bikes that I have ridden including my fave dogma f & SW Venge. Holds speed above 45kph better than the F & Venge but the dogma is the quickest in sprints.

The seatpost + wedge combo is dogsshit on this bike, as a mechanic at our LBS i have already cracked 1 frame with the wedge, in total we cracked 3 frames out of the 15 delivered. Its a faulty design, the wedge is to big and cracks the frame when expended. Pls people, don't buy this bike!

Interestingly, Elves gave me their new 3D printed carbon saddle for free, because my Falath Evo was delayed by 5 weeks. The saddle weighs 168gr in 143mm width. Full carbon shell and rails.
And a question: Is 102mm spacing between the fork legs considered "normal". The front wheel fit is very loose on my Falath Evo.

yeah you can definitely put these bars on the comp. I just went through this whole process. All 3 of the Oltres are the same in that regard and believe it or not, even the RC doesn't actually come with them gotta pay extra. They are around $800, pretty limited in sizes and general availability. Ask whoever you placed your order with to find out for you through their Bianchi rep because nobody is just stocking these apart from Bianchi. From memory I think it's only 420/110, 420/100 & 400/90. Then some thing for 440 but didn't pay attention. So figuring out the stack and angle are the only wtf mysteries your fitter has left. 😆 BTW, you can actually run any 1 piece cockpit you want on this thing,

GCN do a review of arkea samsic bike in German. a size 57 with pedals and dura ace c50s bottle cage holders and Garmin mount holder... comes in at 7.11kg... I'd say that's seriously impressive? ... and accords with the 6.85 advertised on Bianchi... I can only assume their wheels are lighter than dura ace which are quite heavy I believe...

Pretty fugly. The riser stem looks bad, the top tube with the bump looks bad, the non-matching depth wheels looks bad, the gloss finish on the wheels and matte on the bike looks bad, the plastic farings of questionable value look bad. The saddle does look good, so kudos on that.
