Had the wall section replaced, and a year later it cracked again on the new fiberglass wall. The walls are only an inch thick and and do not have sufficient bracing/studs; also doesn’t help that Rockwood followed none of the Lippert installation requirements for the Schwintek system (rollers and wall backing/reinforcement). Rockwood will do NOTHING about it. I’ve also had a bent axle from the factory (Dexter replaced it), a wheel randomly fall off on the road, roof material incorrectly installed and bubbling up on the slide outs, I had to completely re-plumb the rig with pex and proper fittings because of leaks, ceiling panels were falling down because they weren’t glue laminated properly at the factory (so Rockwood stapled it up, but the staples only go into foam because the roof is made like a luan board foam sandwich, and the list continues to grow. I'm looking at a Forest River Ultralight and you made a more general comment on how you liked the tortion bar suspension but were concerned about it being lifted. Is the frame cracking issue what you feared on that one also? You expounded a bit here where you didn't on that review.
Torsion axles bounce a lot…and are easily overloaded because the manufacturer doesn’t use ones heavy enough for the trailer. Also if you run a wheel up a curb or manage to bend the axle, or have a bearing failure that ruins the spindle…the entire axle has to be replaced and it’s not cheap
@@9002-bv9xz Well, we traveled on one as a kid on a pop up and often it was on unpaved roads. I understand the laws of physics as they might apply to a travel trailer and am good with a Tortion Axle. My dad bought our pop up in 1964 (a Phoenix) and gave it away still going in around 2008 to a young family... We never noticed what you discussed. I am aware of their pluses and minus's and know what they cost to replace. There are also a lot of advantages and they are better off road even if NOT the best suspension with new technologies. I'm good with that part of the trailer. It's the lift mentioned in the Ultra Light review that concerned me. If it is going to torque the frame enough to break it since I do National Forest Roads, often, that is important.
That takes Ember off my list. I was watching a walk-through video of a new Alliance Avenue the other day and the reviewer pointed out the one flex hose, which was coming off the back side of the water pump. He asserted it has the correct fittings, then said it is REQUIRED by code for that hose to be a flex. Pretty sure I've heard time and again there is no code for RVs. What is your input on this?
My Avenue 32rls has all the correct fittings on the hoses going to the pump. They are required to put on a flex hose going to and from the pump. The leak is because some use the wrong fittings on that flex hose to pump adapter. Been a FANTASTIC camper for 3 years now.
Disappointing. I like their innovations but quality is my #1 concern. I looked at one last week at a nearby dealer and saw some bad plumbing. Thanks for the review and the free course. I've learned a lot.
I recently looked at an Ember RV. The Touring edition. I also was not impressed. It was my #1 pick that I had on my list. It is no longer on my list at all. Outdoors RV is decent, but too heavy for my truck.
Its criminal the way they build these things for what you pay for them. we have a 2013 Innsbrook that had to be sent back to the manufacture from Canada to Kentucky to repair $6.500.00 damage caused by an awning bracket that was not sealed and allowed water to enter between the kitchen wall and the metal siding, the QC on these RV's is non existent, you need to get an inspection before you leave the lot .
I’ll never buy and Ember again! It’s just been a mess from the beginning and nothing but daily repairs. Horrendous quality and the leadership (Chris & Ashley) never get involved with extensive customer issues. They choose to continue with marketing and promises for quality, but do nothing to make significant changes in their poor builds. Hundred of owners report the same, no quality control. Cabinets fall apart, sealed underbellies have huge gaps, frame bolts break, appliances fail, wiring is improper, plumbing leaks, countertops allow water seeps and swells, etc etc… it just goes on and on.
You must make money off other competitors. Its insane the hate Ember gets when they seriously build a great unit. The people that work there are more proud of their products than most. They use the same stuff most do. And what they dont use , they made better. How can you trash that. It's insane. The prices are up cause they are not 3 year units. They are actually built to last. I will honestly say that half the negative crap I see has political agenda. That's honest truth. The bigger companies are all watching this company. Taking their floor plans and using their ideas. I call BS. Im sick of seeing it.
Another over priced, overrated POS! As are 90% of the manufacturers! Quality =$$$$$ ! Campers are a total waste of money , better off renting on for your one week a year vacation! Save a monthly payment and depreciation of the camper! If you like pissing money down the drain then go ahead!
Camped in my 3 year old Avenue 32rls 5th wheel over 100 times now (12000 miles) and have very few issues in those 3 years. I didnt buy it as an investment, but to enjoy with my wife. No way wound I trade that for hotels 1 week a year.

Please review InTech Aucta Willow!
Thanks for the request! I don’t have any review videos of this out yet, but there are 4 grades of that brand in my database from myself and other undercover shoppers. If you want to view the database and learn to assess the quality of any RV like I do in my reviews, you can take my RV shopping course and use my app to grade it yourself - undercoverrvshopper.com/rv-shopping-course/
I also offer consulting where I get on a call with you and we can talk through your budget, camping goals and I can review any RV listings you’re considering - undercoverrvshopper.com/book-a-consultation/
Can you review a Little Guy Max or Max DC?
I trust your opinion over an RV engineer. Let’s be real, they have turned the industry into a joke.
What are your thoughts on the venture rv brand?
Great update 👍
All together now, "J-U-N-K"!!
Black Series next? Alot people dogging them online but no substance
No slide?
There was already several people who have shown how bad Ember has been. It’s all Hype. I’d go with a rockwood or flagstaff.
Good work. That's quite a disguise, you should be in the CIA.
Man this boutique rv companies continue to disappoint
OWWWW... But they look cool. And only cost a fortune.
Aren’t these supposed to be top notch campers, and expensive? If so, even more ridiculous
I'm so disappointed. I also heard good things about Ember.
Another over priced,overrated POS!

The average working family only gets 2weeks a year! You are an exception if you are retired or can consider glamping as a lifestyle!
@@bamaverick8740 I have not worked a place that offered less then 3 weeks of vacation to start in 20 years. State parks are a pretty cheap weekend.
They are all junk. If you don't understand that going in you are in trouble.
