As a fellow Texan, I agree that our economics are atrocious. My question is. What are you going to do about it? I'm tired of being told just to vote, and it will get better.
Yesterday I spoke to an elderly lady in a checkout line. She held up a $11.99 bag of grapes and said "These were $5.99 not long ago." Inflation feeds on itself until it implodes. Necessities Businesses are now gouging consumers in lockstep. Its going to backfire. Catch and Prosecute shoplifters, dont pass the cost to consumers like cowards.
She shouldn't have bought the grapes. Let them rot on the shelves and you'll see how quickly the price would go down. Perishable goods, such as meats and produce are the most vulnerable to price change. Couldn't she have bought a less costly fruit to consume ? When a head of iceberg lettuce is more than $ 1.99 I refuse to purchase it. I've seen it anywhere from $ 2.59 to $ 3.99 I do without salad and instead buy some canned green vegetable instead.
We are SO fortunate to have Ted Cruz in the Senate! I would love to see him on the Presidential ticket as a VP running mate, but then wonder if that would weaken the Senate. Ted Cruz is THAT good!!!
My proudest vote . . . . after voting for Reagan for president in 1984. . . .was my vote in the NY State Republican Presidential Primary on April 19, 2016 when I voted for Sen. Ted Cruz. If more voters country wide would have voted for Cruz, we would be in the 2nd Presidential Term of President Cruz right now.
