- Thanks for clicking on this video :), this is a tutorial for my crochet buttercup top that I have previously made and posted about on other platforms. I got a few requests for a pattern so I thought I’d make a UA-cam tutorial of it, sorry it’s a long one! hope you enjoy!!

I had two cups that I’d made a year ago that were just sitting there so I just decided to follow this tutorial and even though I was confused at times with the explanation, I carried on as best as I could and it actually looks so good. It’s the first thing I’ve ever crocheted that looks wearable 😅

@@leniscrochetI’m a little confused on how to measure my boob or my friends boob ahha
there’s not a fixed way to take the measurements as it’s all about your preference of how you want it to fit! so when starting the cup you want the chain to reach from the side of your boob (where you want the edge of the cup to lie) to the middle of that boob. then you keep creating the rows as i described in the video until the bottom (or side) of the cup reaches from the top to the bottom on you boob and reaches your desired coverage. hope this helps!
hey loved the tutorial I just wanted to ask smth about the part you start the bottom stitch so you counted 6 and insterted your hook on the seventh stitch but if i wanted more coverage in the back would i have to count 7+7 14th stitch or 6+6+1 13th stitch hope you understand

Hi I love the tutorial but on the first row of the net I didn’t understand how to do the diamond in the middle
You should try slip stiching back over the straps to make them more secure

Hey! I love the tutorial! I'm halfway through it. At 20:00, I have 6 stitches left before the middle so it's not going to be symmetrical :/ so basically I have to do the cluster before the middle and not in the middle. How can I do? Thanks!
I love the tutorial, did you slip stitch the last cluster before you went to the half crochet, and where did you insert your hook to finish the half crochet✨
i cant lie she completely lost me at the end with the double crotchet on the strap instructions unclear, white wool makes it hard to see whats going on
if you counted 6 and went to the 7th then went and counted another 6 howare you still on the chain and not the cups

Hey! I'm making the top right now but in 20:28 I'm left with 6 spaces before I hit the middle. I'm a bit confused on what I should do.
what if i want to make it to cover more my back? how many chains should i do im confused 🙏 🙏
if you want more coverage on the back i would say make the chains about 15-20 chains longer. i chained 90 then started 14 chains away from the cups so if you chain around 105-110 and start around 28 or 35 chains away from the cups (has to be in multiples of seven). remember you’re doing the same on both sides so don’t go too far out on one side as you have to match it on the other and it might not fit if you go too far out! hope this helps

How can I make these cups not have gaps? If I go smaller, it will be too small but I just don’t have the assets to fill the cup 😭
You could try a different weight yarn and smaller hook size
What do you do so its not see through? I want to crochet some tops but i'm scared that they turn out see through 😭😭
I use a smaller crochet hook with a bit more tension

you just skip 6 single crochets and put 3 double crochets in the 7th stitch, i hope that helps 😊

you don’t chain, you reach over and crochet into the chain two space from the previous row!

So first u didn’t even show us how to single crotchet. If this really was beginner friendly u wouldn’t have shown that. Yes I’ve single crotcheted before but I have to see a visual I haven’t memorized the patterns yet. Taking my like back lol
hey! in the title it says “relaxed tutorial” which meant that it wasn’t a very formal tutorial and was a bit more chilled. also i didn’t think id claimed this was a beginner friendly top but if i said that in the video i am sorry, i would advise its for advanced beginners maybe but more intermediate crocheters.

I can understand the frustration about feeling misled, but not every beginner-friendly tutorial starts from the very very beginning. What's nice about the internet is you can always find another video about single crochet to refresh your memory!
You have every right to dislike a video that isn't what you thought it would be, but since it's not the creator's responsibility to appeal to the needs of every viewer, you have no right to reprimand her in her own comments section. Being upset is understandable, but being rude is a choice (and rarely the right one).
