It's just that in West Pakistan, the idea of unity in Islam is very beloved to the local people. We didn't know that a few corrupt generals were using our emotions to oppress the Bengalis since early days and anyone raising their voice would be seen as treason. Since then, the local people have had little to no exposure and called it "Fall of Dhaka". I imagine in hindsight it would be more appropriate to call it "Fall of Pakistan" (because we lost our better Eastern half) or "Betrayal of West Pakistan" (because it's the West Pakistani elites/generals who stooped to the level of killing their own instead of defending them)
