They are discussing the game after the match which is typical grandmaster practice. Svidler and Carlsen know each other very well, like most top grandmasters know each other - and they are friends in a way.
@@GensUnaSumus09 Didn't say it wasn't. It's just not 'on the board', which relates to the center. Okay, physically it was on the board. But why highlight that, since mate Only occurs on the board and not next to or beneath it.
Wiede not sure where you’re learning chess terms, but if someone taught you that “on the board” means strictly in the center, I’d fire them immediately
EDIT RESULTS: 1-0 CARLSEN WINS, MY MISTAKE.
nu bener atuh bro....
It is so nice when they smile to each other, they look like a good friends, not just shaking hands with out emotions.
checkmates at world championship are quite rare these days
at 7:08, a better move i think would have been the black rook takes on g3 pawn.
And then gets taken from the King?
@@HardstyleJoni then exrf4 check
Even I saw that one coming.
Clear mate.. I just cant understand why people are saying draw.. Just in case, have I lost something?
This game is not a draw , magnus carlsen won this round
Title: Checkmate on the board - Result: 1/2 - 1/2 ???
Sorry, my mistake.
Its a checkmate brother
Hi, anyone can explain me why carlsen don't take the rook in B1 with the queen? (at 7:26)
There's a specific reason?
Carlsen's rook at F4 will be taken by the black pawn, Carlsen didn't want the rook exchange coz he was aiming for the mate.
Hope that helps.
@@mohd2682 okay, thank you :)

Magnus has to always say something after like every match. He seems cocky
Actually you’re being cocky here
@@amanjain908 if you were world champion would you be a wimp?
John Schlutz do you even have any idea what’s the probability to become a world champion and best alive chess player?

Well not quite convinced. But also I'm not a native speaker, so my apologies I guess.
