Rafael Reig my wife is addicted to playing with slim and now she sympathizes when I’m flicking my knife. She used to freak out when I got a new knife now she understands a little bit better. It makes me relax.
As I’m sitting in bed watching this video and flipping my Kapara (which is one of the currently 14 of my favorite fidget knives I keep on my nightstand by the bed) my wife said, “oh so there’s more of you out there.. the wives need to get together and form a group to discuss this problem.” Hahaha
I love playing with my Shaman. The noise it makes plus the weight of the blade. Another knife I really enjoy is the Real Steel T101 Thor. I've got a couple of standard editions (black and brown) and a Special Edition version. The CRKT Fossil is also great. I have the large one. Another fidget toy for me is the SOG Vision XR. I'm just a bit leery of omega springs. I snapped the one in my SOG TAC-XR and the other one is also on the way out. This may sound surprising to a lot of you but there is an assisted folding knife that I really enjoy playing with. It's the CRKT Hissatsu folder. In fact, there was a time when I would always grab that if I wanted a knife to play with. I loved it so much I bought a second one. Of course the Para Military 2 and the Para 3 are obvious choices in list such as this. I also enjoy my Manix 2 G10. I prefer that to either of my lightweights.
I would wear a "SUPER DROPSHUTTY" t-shirt every day... of course I'd need to collect all the sprint run limited editions as well... oh, I can't wait for the blurple one!
As a mostly budget guy, the Ganzo FB7601 is my most fidget friendly knife. Ball bearings + g-lock makes it drop shut. It's also an original design which is a big plus.
I have the same 940 and the action is surreal, it is so effortless. Regarding sound, the thwack of the blade opening on the R2D2 is so satisfying. I just wish I had purchased the full sized model as the smaller one cramps my hand.
The Spyderco Smock is tops on my fidget list right now. The low profile flipper works great but you can also spydie fluck it and the button compression lock is awesome.
My favourite fidget knives tend to have textured handle scales. It could be FRN or jigged bone or stag, but the feel in the hand is much like worry beads...tension reduction by texture.
I can't decide between the praxis, cutjack, a $30 ch flipper. is the cutjack still considered a must have? every review I've seen on Amazon is people complaining about the detent and their inability to flip it reliably
What's funny is that you know someone is truly into knives when they carry a secondary, like mentioned with the mini sheepdog. Most of my daily carried go to folders are 8" & up but I tend to carry a smaller blade as well for the times you don't want to "scare" or answer questions by the judging type. But then again, if that is my intention I pull the daily carry fixed blade! (Which more often than not is a Bawidamann Blades POGN L which is a little known but outstanding blade)
I first saw these on Paddy's and Stassa's but try kwik thumb studs in the civivis. I now have them on all flipper only that they fit on and turn then to fidget knives.
Ive been carrying around a Kershaw Induction for a few months, and the Hawk lock is just incredible for the price that I paid (sub $25w/tax). I sometimes forget I'm in class and will catch myself fidgeting with it😂 Im gonna be looking to pick up a Spyderco Para 3 in the Blurple scaled w/S110V soon and can't wait to fidget with that
Dude you've gotta find yourself a freeman 471 That thing was so much fun to play with, flipper button lock heavy blade very unique sound, have yet to find a knife I could open and close faster
Sliceman- Some nice choices. I agree with you on the Spyderco sprint runs being better. I don't like front flippers. The Buck Marksman flips wonderfully, but that gimping on the strap lock is a bit harsh for fidgeting. Fun video.
That's exactly what I do with my mini sheepdog. I got the OD green one I normally carry it as my secondary and my play knife if my primary is somewhat boring lol
Manual button locks are my favorite fidget knives, the protech cambria, crkt tighe tac two and real steel griffin are bearing pivot manual plunge locks and fidget champs. Tho the people in one's life tend to hate them, "stop doing that!" I'm sorry, I can't.
Would love an update. Mine rn, Ultratech, Deadlock, Arius, Norseman, Waypoint, Atom, massdrop keen and my Malibu are all a ton of fun to fidget. My Zaan is the least fun as awesome as it is.
Fun Post Bryan! I have some repeat offenders in my collection for fidget friendly... ZT 0055 (the lever, the big blade and the noises!), Guardian Tactical Helix Nano Tanto ( I have TWO..LOL! Thumb Stud & Lever, Great unusual shape and noises!!,), Artisan D2 G-10 Tomahawk (huge blade, détent and just the size), and lately the Benchmade Saibu...(resharpened, broken-in axis-lock...I think because it’s new )...honorable mention goes to my "milled-out Carter Prime (Action is unbelievable, noises are great!). Thanks 4 reminding me how fun these all are!
Great and fun video! I’ve been looking to get a new knife and this was actually helpful even though it was meant as a fun video. Keep up the great work!
Great list. I have a lot of those knives you mentioned and they are all fun. However thanks to @bladebanter the tighe tac two is waaayyy up on my list of fidget knives. The kershaw ram though discontinued and hard to find is also and amazing fidget knife. Happy Labor Day keep up the great work.
Slicey Dicey - you gotta get an anthem. It is by far the funnest fidget knife. If you like the sounds the buck makes then the anthem will blow your mind. I have the 940-1 and I believe the anthem for the price is actually a better knife.
Michael Daury NYS law. I can own them but I can’t carry them unless I’m actively hunting or fishing and can’t have them shipped here. Some shops still carry them, but only cheap ones.
What's so special about the Benchmade 940? A lot of knife guys seem to hold this knife in extremely high regard and I'm not quite sure what makes it so much more special than others.
Cool video! Great content. But I wished you would list the knife names in the description, some where new to me and I did not get the name right (this We Knives produced smaller knife at 3:10 for instance)
Do you not have a Skaha? As smooth as the action is on the Skaha how is it not in the top 10 fidget knives? Definitely a better fidget knife than any steel will knife I've handled. Such a shame that the Skaha didn't make your list.
Yes, Skaha great for fidget factor, I filed a detent ramp in mine which makes it even better :) My current favourite is the Spydiechef! I have had the knife a few years, never really used it or carried it much, put it in my pocket a couple of weeks ago and haven't been able to put it down?
No mention of the Asheville steel Paragon Warlock? That is the most fidgety knife I have ever owned and I have owned a whole hell of a lot over the years, Including every knife in your list besides that Civivi.
That’s a shame, you should check it out man it’s a nice piece. The warlock is a double edge dagger blade which is definitely very aggressive looking. But they also have the phoenix which is a standard single edge.
I was fiddling around with my microtech at a red light and looked over at the car next to me and this old lady looked terrified
JD Beckett this happens to me all the time
00:54 Im pretty sure your thinking of a genie. You calling Mary a liar? The US Hockey team beat the USSR right? That was a miracle. 👍🏼
I was gonna ask why there were no OTF on the list lol
😂 same but with me it was a Craftsman utility knife!
I do fidget in the car too.
It helps me deal with the stress of congested traffic
I’m a safer driver calm than when I’m angry 😤!
Hahaha

I love the sounds that knives make. Great vid by the way

As a mostly budget guy, the Ganzo FB7601 is my most fidget friendly knife. Ball bearings + g-lock makes it drop shut. It's also an original design which is a big plus.
im watching this on the couch at 1 am, and it makes me want to go grab my favorite flipper and start fidgeting lol
The crooked river, manix 2, pm2, and zt 0452cf are my go to fidget knives mostly bc that's what's in pockets 90% of the time. Good idea and good vid 👍
I need a 940. It looks like a great fidgety knife that’s not scary or obtrusive
You can’t go wrong!! It’s awesome
Para 2, Para 3, Mini Crooked River, Mini Grip, the 943 and last but not least , the 0562 is probably my smoothest.
I have the same 940 and the action is surreal, it is so effortless. Regarding sound, the thwack of the blade opening on the R2D2 is so satisfying. I just wish I had purchased the full sized model as the smaller one cramps my hand.
Another great video as always. Was a good way to pass time during my lunch break. 👍
Do you think the constant opening and shutting will mess up any of the knives?
That buck looked crraaaazy. Great video man. I dig the Kizer mini sheep dog too. Your review made me go out and get one. Or order one rather.
Happy Labor Day! I have slipjoint I play with. It’s a GEC Talon. I’m able to pinch open this blade.
The Spyderco Smock is tops on my fidget list right now. The low profile flipper works great but you can also spydie fluck it and the button compression lock is awesome.

Would love to see this list updated annually!!
The Buck 830 is very fun to play with. The blade is the freest I have ever felt.
I can't decide between the praxis, cutjack, a $30 ch flipper. is the cutjack still considered a must have? every review I've seen on Amazon is people complaining about the detent and their inability to flip it reliably

The POGN is such a great knife.
I got one thrown in as an add on in a trade (that I likely would have made anyway) and it quickly became a favorite.
I first saw these on Paddy's and Stassa's but try kwik thumb studs in the civivis. I now have them on all flipper only that they fit on and turn then to fidget knives.

That thing was so much fun to play with, flipper button lock heavy blade very unique sound, have yet to find a knife I could open and close faster
grinned when I saw the pm2 as I flipped mine
*slicey likes my comment* *grin intensifies*
God what I would do for a Protech Malibu. I need another run of those stat.
The Malibu is one of the most enjoyable knives I own, along with the Spyderco smock. The day will come where you too can enjoy the Malibu
Sliceman- Some nice choices. I agree with you on the Spyderco sprint runs being better. I don't like front flippers. The Buck Marksman flips wonderfully, but that gimping on the strap lock is a bit harsh for fidgeting. Fun video.
I love my tangram vector. U should do a vid in the button lock knifes. Vector, real steel Griffon, crkt tighe fighter / tac two, and boker has a 2
Fidgetting with knives is fun... I love to fidget with my CRKT Fulcrum 2... Fidgetting with harmonicas is much
more fun, but I knives are fun too.
I like fidgeting with the Manly Wasp, super super drop-shutty.
1. SK Blades Buck Marksman
2. Kizer Sheepdog (full sized)
3. Kizer Klecker 4422
4. Ontario Rat 1
5. Brous Silent Soldier flipper
That's exactly what I do with my mini sheepdog. I got the OD green one I normally carry it as my secondary and my play knife if my primary is somewhat boring lol
Brilliant minds...
Just thinking about which fidget knife to get and ... voila! Thank you sir :D
Manual button locks are my favorite fidget knives, the protech cambria, crkt tighe tac two and real steel griffin are bearing pivot manual plunge locks and fidget champs. Tho the people in one's life tend to hate them, "stop doing that!" I'm sorry, I can't.
Once I pick up my griffin or cambria I can't them them down!
Yeah, button locks are fun. Don't leave out Hogue.
@@MrGeerbear Ha...I did leave out my hogue ex-04!
+srg914- Hogue's are fun!

I did do a newer one actually. ua-cam.com/video/NHfwWWTyo5A/v-deo.html

You, my friend, are a true knife-nut. That "THWACK" is what it's all about :D
I was disappointed in the liner lock bar myself on the Mini Sheepdog. Made it not fun for me.
I have a Bali and it’s good to play with
Have you made a video about left-hand appropriate folding knives?(or would you please...)
I'm not a lefty and have HORRIBLE dexterity in my left hand, so not sure I'd be a good choice to do that.
Hey Brian, the wolf pup where could one pick one up I f one were interested? And are they still available?
Thanks man
Long gone sadly.
I fidget with an OTF and my leek. Gotta be careful though because one bad injury would put me out of work.
Cool video. I am gonna have to check out that Buck. I too am a fidgeter.
Great and fun video! I’ve been looking to get a new knife and this was actually helpful even though it was meant as a fun video. Keep up the great work!

You should try an Olamic Busker someday, that's one hell of a fidget knife, there are at least 5 or 6 ways to open it, quite fun to play with
Slicey Dicey - you gotta get an anthem. It is by far the funnest fidget knife. If you like the sounds the buck makes then the anthem will blow your mind. I have the 940-1 and I believe the anthem for the price is actually a better knife.
My top ones are my 710 my 943 and my Microtech OTF.
I’d have had on OTF in there if I was allowed to have them here.
@@SliceyDicey Why aren't you allowed to have them??
Michael Daury NYS law. I can own them but I can’t carry them unless I’m actively hunting or fishing and can’t have them shipped here. Some shops still carry them, but only cheap ones.
@@SliceyDicey Yeah in Maryland I'm pretty sure my Microtech is illegal but I still carry it.
Ya, the 710 is awesome.
Kizer dukes flips like a champ too
Yep! I don't have one ATM or it probably would have been on there.
Interested to see how the Kizer cormorant would do. I don’t think science would allow more deployment options to fit on one knife...
Thanks for the video Slicey D. Nice choices.
Would an update include the manual Socom Elite?
Nice vid : ) ... you should try a Skaha or Skaha 2 ... since I noticed you have a penchant for flippers, you deserve to test drive one of those!
Have a Skaha 2 now. Didn't at the time of the video.
Cool review topic idea. Thanks!
getting a metamorph next based on this, my first front flipper
The RUIKE P852 B very Fidged_ Friendly too !!!
Mine Reate K2!!
Yea, it's almost obsessive at this point to play with my paragon warlock.
Milwaukee Fastback Compact lol
Nice list.. Happy Labor day!!! I think it's a metaphor kinda day.. 👍👍👍👍👍
What's so special about the Benchmade 940? A lot of knife guys seem to hold this knife in extremely high regard and I'm not quite sure what makes it so much more special than others.
Love the metamorph ... my gent and pj knife 🤣
Cool video! Great content. But I wished you would list the knife names in the description, some where new to me and I did not get the name right (this We Knives produced smaller knife at 3:10 for instance)
wish he'd list all, since he runs through the names so very quickly, they're unintelligible to me
How the hell did the protech/ferrum forge Mordax not make this list. It’s fidget factor is over 9,000!!!
I love to play with my limited edition benchmade mini loco.
Do you not have a Skaha? As smooth as the action is on the Skaha how is it not in the top 10 fidget knives? Definitely a better fidget knife than any steel will knife I've handled. Such a shame that the Skaha didn't make your list.
No I don't. That was a loaner. Still waiting for my spot on the list.
Yes, Skaha great for fidget factor, I filed a detent ramp in mine which makes it even better :) My current favourite is the Spydiechef! I have had the knife a few years, never really used it or carried it much, put it in my pocket a couple of weeks ago and haven't been able to put it down?
Thanks for this SD! I think people don't factor fidget factor enough. Sometimes it's just fun =)
I always flip and drive.
No mention of the Asheville steel Paragon Warlock? That is the most fidgety knife I have ever owned and I have owned a whole hell of a lot over the years, Including every knife in your list besides that Civivi.
Never heard of it.
That’s a shame, you should check it out man it’s a nice piece. The warlock is a double edge dagger blade which is definitely very aggressive looking. But they also have the phoenix which is a standard single edge.
i want an out the front knife where i can just spam the blade in and out
What do those wolf pups go for when available?
$220. Mine was $199 but they're going up for the next batch. Worth it.
Action on the Brigand blows the praxis away imo
My top 3 are the Boos Blades Smoke , ZT 0452 , Kizer Uli T1 .
I'd LOOOOOOVE a Smoke.
I love the T1. Was playing with it while watching this video.
Extrema Ratio, Boker and AK 47 are great!!!
I love my Civivi!
"there is no God" caught me so off guard I was fucking dying 😂
Damn the cutjack looks like the praxis.
I don't see it, but you got that backwards. Cutjack has been out a lot longer.
Any Microtech OTF
I definitely enjoy a good fidget knife. Here’s my list:
1) Hornet
2) Griptilian 551
3) Para3
4) Odino (best click)
5) We 617
6) Paladin
7) Hootenanny
8) Kendo
9) Lion
10) FB760

Hehe, yep. We probably all like to fidget.
