Hey, hope afte a year I can get a reply from you.... or anybody who can help....
Im working on the innovative product, I am at the designing stage, and also trying to get perfect prototype.... the thing is that I am afraid to start kickstarter or indiegogo without patent... so what would be your suggestion, can you help me figure it out ? the patenting lasts around a year... at least.... My plan is :
1. branding (product design, packeging, logo etc)
2. marketing (social media, videos, photos, website)
3. apply for patent
4. start crowdfunding campaigns on both platforms

Shouldn't you patent your idea first, I learned the hard way. My idea was stolen from a invention company , when I showed it without a patent...
Was the invention patented by the thief ? If not, you can still sell your product
@@woochatming9917 / Yes ! The guy got some lady in Red ban New Jersey to put her name on it. I had proof and it was mine. I had it on video, I had sent it to the attorney general office and everything. It was a Houston invention association...
If you have proof that you are the original inventor, talk to a lawyer. You can void their patent if it’s truly your product creation.

Hello! Thanks for the info! I’ve a question (I hope it won’t seem too stupid 😅) : can I use Kickstarter for earning money from the only campaign? And instead not for obtaining money to launch and produce a project after the Kickstarter campaign? In other words, can I put a Kickstarter project just to earn money only from the campaign ?

It happens, but it is bad. You should have a project or product for your campaign. How then will you handle the perks?
Never really understood Kickstarter. They said it was for young people, but isn't it just a platform for people with too much money on their hands???

You have to spend $5k to launch a kickstarter campaign.
This is a major barrier.
He does not say that anywhere. You heard it wrong. It costs ZERO dollars to launch a kickstarter campaign. If the campaign goal is reached, the platform takes 5%. That’s it.
