The Black Parade is dead, the Killjoys are just a memory, we're putting away our Conventional Weapons. The Danger Days of the Fabulous Killjoys are over and we have to face the depressing inevitable: My Chemical Romance is over. I love this song yet it's like a slap in the face; it's an incessant reminder that the story's over. This is really the only band that relates to me these days. Even if you're not sure how it relates to you exactly, you can really feel their music and understand their songs deep within your soul, even if you can't conjure what it means and the complete meaning is unfathomable. This song unfortunately puts out the inevitable truth for us all to face. We must face the inevitable and cold truth: The Black Parade is dead. The Killjoys are hanging up their instruments, and the Black Parade has stopped marching with its rhythmic tune.
We can either choose to think of it has a depressing ending or think of it as a new beginning. We never stopped being killjoys. We still are. We are still making noise! The future is bulletproof, the aftermath is secondary. MCR will live on through us.

In a podcast Gerard did in 07/14 he said he didn't realize it at the time he made the song but he did know that it did not feel like a MCR song and he felt it should have been there single because he felt it was able to express what he was going through as an artist that time so in a lot of ways it is there goodbye song (he just didn't realize it at first). This band made me happy and wild when I first heard them, and they still do, but I'm all grown up now. I never knew i needed this song until now I haven't heard many songs from MCR but i know that they've saved countless people's lives including their own so i respect them way more than a pop group who literally steals songs without credit (yes 1D has stolen some measures of songs look it up). I may not like all of their songs but i know they're amazing people and i respect them for that.

I havent listened to MCR since they broke up, nor any emo/post-hardcore band for that matter, but I came back to hear this song. And I'm glad I did. This song is really damn powerful. Back when I was in my emo phase it made me sad, but now... it makes me feel good. Remembering and loving my past self yet being happy to grow up and move on. I love this song.

The saddest thing in life is knowing things can never go back to the way they once were. The hardest part--for me--when I heard MCR broke up was knowing nothing is forever. This band made me happy and wild when I first heard them, and they still do, but I'm all grown up now. I still love their music, and nothing could ever change that, but what really hurts is knowing everything must come to an end. Not everything can last.

In case anybody’s still actually MCRying in the comments these six years later, know that you’re not a kid anymore. The band did its job and helped you by making you get help for yourself. This is no reason to forget them, but only be grateful for what they did.
I never knew i needed this song until now
I haven't heard many songs from MCR but i know that they've saved countless people's lives including their own so i respect them way more than a pop group who literally steals songs without credit (yes 1D has stolen some measures of songs look it up). I may not like all of their songs but i know they're amazing people and i respect them for that.

I can't believe it's been over a year since I was sitting there intensely listening to the 'Listening Party' that MCR posted a few weeks before the album release. It was so perfect. The excitement, the tedious wait for the album release. Perfect.

i love the song and i know there moving on they broke up for reasons but it still hurts. they are my favorite band and they are everything to me. i had refused to listen to the song after the break up because i knew it will make me sad and i was right here i am now listening to it in tears. there memory will carry on. they have there lives to live and i am happy that they are happy but deep down inside i will never be truly happy about this and i will always miss them.

I saw these guys live two nights ago and they sang this song, every single person in the crowd sang along and gerard sang perfectly. He's amazing, the whole band is. I will always love these guys, they saved my life when I was younger, without them I wouldn't be here.

Because everyone has a bad time in its life, and you keep home, keep frustrated and just do nothing, but watching tv or looking aroug the internet. But your friends and family are the ones that help.
