- Saudi Arabia’s former ambassador to the US Prince Bandar bin Sultan has called out the Palestinian leadership for its rejection of the UAE-Israel peace deal.
“This low level of discourse is not what we expect from officials who seek to gain global support for their cause. Their transgression against the Gulf states' leadership with this reprehensible discourse is entirely unacceptable,” said Prince Bandar in an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya.

I thank you prince Bandar and alarabia for this important interview. As a Saudi citizen raised abroad, having to deal with anti Saudi hate from western and Arab people alike. Having this historical context of Saudi’s stance for the Palestinian cause is invaluable. I go back to this time an time again as a source to remind myself of everything saudi has done for the Palestinian cause. Please use this to reach more people than it has already done. The world needs to know especially the Arab world. Thank you

Sir, I am of two minds. If we ever met in person, I am certain I would shake your hand and be friendly, with reserve. Nothing personal not hatred. I have been intellectually influenced by people who are ex-Muslim and later JihadWatch. I sought these views because I did not trust views of Neoconservatives or Israelis. I think it was put best by Rivdan that many Muslims are great human beings, _despite_ the teachings of Mohammed. Mohammed called to hate all disbelievers -- everyone who rejects Mohammed as THE final messenger of God.
Obviously, many quietly evade that command, choosing peace instead of hate.
I now know about the verse about the fictional Gharqad Tree, and the meaning of that, and more.
These ideas I cannot ascribe to *you* , personally. I think it is likely that you a man of similar mind and temperament to Prince Bandar.

The interview with Bandar 👆 is for Saudi citizens because there were always been ingratitude of Saudi Arabia's support to palestinian people in the region's public (outside Saudi Arabia).

This is a good interview. My country, Lebanon, welcomed the Palestinians. We were the richest arab country. In return, they started a Civil War that destroyed Lebanon. "The Palestinian cause is a just cause but its advocates are failures, and the Israeli cause is unjust but its advocates have proven to be successful. That sums up the events of the last 70 or 75 years," HRH Bandar bin Sultan said in this interview.
Watching this I was moved to tears and anger, and then calmness. Arabs fought for Palestine more then their leaders did, We never forgot them. But the first to attack the gulf and Saudi especially, are the closest first, the Arab traitors or what we call the wanna-be-Arabs and the Muslims. Saudi and Al-Saud are truly a blessing from Allah, very few know this as fact, but those who fought with them and lived with them.
"There will come a time when the liar is believed and the truthful is said to be a liar. " Muhammad PBUH. The gulf and Saudi are so demonized by the west and a lot of north and African Arab countries, except Egypt and Jordan that is. Saudi didn't JUST fight for the Palestinians it fought for every Arab cause. And now that it's being attacked by the Huthies only the very few stand with it. We as Arabs always say if Saudis and Egypt's peace is gone then say goodbye to the Arabs and the Muslim world. That's why we will always stand with Saudi even if the whole world is against them.
The Gulf Arabs have many of their own issues as well. If you are blind to that, you are simply uninformed. Start with the three Ottoman-Wahhabi Wars and studying proper aqida (Ashari and Maturidi) and history. Hit the books. Spend years seeking ilm. And the truth will eventually become clear inshaAllah. Just don't lock yourself in an echo chamber.

I was moved. He talks on his memoir , straight forward on his recollection, no Dramas. Never thought this angle had happened. Palestinian people should start to blame of their Leaders who enriched themself and start to look for new young blood Leader who would take them in the realm of a good and better life opportunity. Secondly, what is he surprised about? A few years back, it was illegal for visitors with israeli stamps to enter these countries, and now you find it strange that Palestinians felt they were betrayed when these countries (who always claimed that Palestinians are oppressed and that israelis were fascists) suddenly had a change of heart and embraced israel with open arms....why the change of heart all of the sudden? Money! That's what these countries would sell their souls for. They never really cared about Palestinians being oppressed, they just thought it was good PR for their countries to stand with Palestine.

Wow his memory of events for a politician is top notch , I may not agree 100% and as a non-muslim, non-Arab have to be careful, I'll comment later on some points, as a Eastern Orthodox I been to churches under the Jerusalem patriarchate , however I feel palestinans never miss a opportunity to miss a opportunity, and Arafat huge mistakes (ie - contuining operations from Tuinsia , inviting airstrikes in Tunis embarrassing Ben Ali, betraying the Gulf states by backing Saddam Hussein during the Gulf war, the Black september events undermining King Hussein authority, playing a role in the Lebanese Civil war , turning down the deal in 2000, and deciding "hey a intifada will liberate us") sent them back years plus Hamas ties with a Neo-Ottoman turkey (I hope the saudis and uae recent detente with Turkey is vinding time like stalin pact with hitler before invasion), and the expansionist twelver iran, as well as stabing a loyal sponsor in Assad regime in the back, has hurt the Palestinans standing in the arab world. I love the palestinans, and realize Israel wrong on land grabs , jewish settlements, judaization of east jerusalem, tensions on temple mount, contuining to gold onto Golan height and the chabaa farms (excuse my spelling) but Palestinans continue to shoot themselves in the foot, time after time, even Nasser no friend if Israel pass the tourch of the palestinan cause to Arafat because Egypt wanted to move on.
If you are still around, 2 years after this discussion, I have a sincere question. I once marched for Palestinians - simply as "underdogs" against the Israeli mini-superpower.
Later I learned that an Arab-Muslim independent Sharia state was created in Palestine, on *three fourths* of the total land, in 1921, mostly by the British (with cooperation, especially the Hashemites).
Plans for a further division would mean that an independent Palestinian state west of the Jordan River would be the *2nd* Palestinian state.
Realistically, it would be more than fair if Israel took the entire 23% that isn't Jordan, less than 1/4 of Palestine land.
Assuming further division, that would mean Arabs & Jews roughly dividing 1/4 of Palestine region or 1/8 each.
How is THAT called Occupation or Genocide?
Anyone rational should understand the Israeli need for tough border security, given what Palestinians (i.e. PLO and Hamas) have done to their _best friends_ . Therefore, the borders and checkpoints make much more sense to me now, than Leftists who call that "apartheid".
There's no apartheid wall between New York and Pennsylvania because neither state has a guerrilla army that is trying to kill everyone on the other side of that border.
