I do agree that in limited early access its cool to not have much character customization, but not having other skin color options for humans/elves/halfings is a huge bummer.
Thanks for the comment, I found that out shortly after doing the edit for this video. By the time it was all put together I was playing around with a torch and realized that was the case. -Russ
Currently, your crafting skill caps increase when you gain an adventuring level. When they patch Professions into the game at some point, crafting levels will no longer be tied to your adventuring levels.
Thanks for clearing that up Jesting, I did notice it starting to go up as I leveled after this video was done being edited and thanks for sharing the info on how the system is supposed to work in the future. -Russ
It's so utterly disappoint after all these years. the in-progress demos looked quite promising, They need to replace the person doing the graphic textures. Edit: and op tries to tell me I'm wrong? No, there's no excuse after all these years. I certainly don't chose games based on poly count, I played a few years of EQ an had a great time, this so utterly lacking.
It was a planned change because realism worsens over time but stylized can be updated and refined over time. This is the reality of video game graphics. The devs have stated that current graphics will have more detail in the future. Aesthetics are subjective of course.
yep... anyone remember the earlier pantheon vids and streams where for example.. they went on about having a new guy to work on the light rendering for the shadows.. they showed how the shadows of individual blades of grass (which had been procedurally created and moved with the breeze in the air)....... or remember when it was revealed that they had to start again because everything that they had developed was hard coded, so they had to restart again to actually make a game, not a demonstration... etc etc.
It's important to remember that reviews are opinion based. This is my opinion it doesn't make it a fact. I even specifically state that I can't "objectively" say whether or not Pantheon is good. I personally love everything about it. That doesn't mean you will. I said as such in the video review as well. If you are disappointed in Pantheon might I suggest Ashes of Creation, they're also in early access currently and are also heavily inspired by older MMOs. Regardless, thanks for the comment ApplePie I hope you find a great MMO. -Russ
We are really lowering our expectations when we are okay with the fact that we don't really have customisation options, just because the game is in early access. This way we get used to it and they won't update these features too fast. And I know graphics is not everything, but with the tech of today, this looks terrible. And asking 40 bucks for it is way too much. I really want a hardcore or hardcore-ish mmo, modern mmo's are too easy and they hold your hands too much, but this is too little for what you pay for. You get ESO for 9,99.
Thanks for the comment Robert I appreciate your perspective. Personally I would rather have access to the game and play it rather than wait another 6 to 10 month for additional customization options that in reality have no real bearing on game play but that's just my opinion. As far as graphics go, I understand your views and they're valid. Personally, the graphics feel nostalgic to me and I personally enjoy them. Might I suggest you check out Ashes of Creation if you haven't already? They're also in early access and are built on UE5 so they have a much higher quality graphics. Steven Sheriff is also heavily influenced by older MMOs and AoC has a lot of that old school feel to it as well. Maybe you'll enjoy that game. I know I'm going to buy into EA in May for that one to check it out. - Russ
Excellent. Loved your take.
Thanks man glad you enjoyed t he video

Great video!
Thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed it.
Very Nice Vid
Thanks Halla glad you enjoyed it.

That is a valid point, Here's hoping we get more customization in the future.

I believe the light enabling you to see nameplates at certain distances is intended.
It is but thanks for sharing. I found that out after doing the edit for this video
- Russ
Nameplates disappearing is due to your vision. If it’s too dark you don’t see names
Thanks for the comment, I found that out shortly after doing the edit for this video. By the time it was all put together I was playing around with a torch and realized that was the case.

@ it is finicky tho. Like it’ll def be bright enough but still be invisible for a bit cause it’s “too dark”
apparently you can only choose 2 life skill and theyre permanent
Yea seems that way right now. Thanks for the comment.

You can just alt f4 to go directly to server select screen and then quit. Camping to exit is not necessary.
you can also type /exit
but be aware, your charackter will stay 30 seconds in the world.
Thats a good tip thanks Bodhi
-Russ
I need to play this game
I'll be here when you get the time to do it my dude.
-Russ
Mastery is disabled right now so they can balance the game.
Yea I've found that out recently but thanks for putting a comment up so other people will know.
-Russ
they really need to add some sex appeal tyo the character models though....
No
I could take it or leave it. As long as it doesn't go over the top fine but I'll defer to whatever the dev's decide to do.
