Came across you site today. So glad I did. I'm 70, retired educator, wife and I just bought a boat. You explanation and clear presentation of things makes me think you might be an educator as well. Or a really smart good ole boy educator, like me as well. Keep up the excellent work!
Great information! I always learn a lot watching your videos! I am a novice fisherman and don’t catch many fish so I love getting instructions, tips, and advice. Thanks for your help! God bless you!
I really appreciated the insight on the smoothness of spinning drag vs baitcaster setups - very interesting and a small point but seems very important. Thank you!
I will definitely try this method of fishing in the Future. It is probably best After a Cold Front or On a Blue Bird Day. Thanks Again for Sharing your Information. Take Care Youall.
Bass resource - I have started fishing both the Ned rig, and the dropshot. Ever since fishing both, I have often wondered why you would fish one over the other?
There's a lot of reasons, but one example is when there are weeds on the bottom and you want the bait to be above them. That's when you'd use a dropshot over a neg rig.
Ive been looking into those spinshot hooks but i haven't because i feel like that the hook can move freely that the weight of the bait will make it spin down facing the bottom more than say a way a dropshot actually stands out.. whats your take on it does that happen

Nice! We love to hear feedback like this. Thanks for watching!
Spin Shot hooks are definitely worth the extra money. That’s my go to when drop shotting.

Glad it was helpful!
I absolutely love the drop shot after using it at Potholes last summer. I plan to use it much more often now.
Glad you liked it 1964krazyeric!
I fished a drop shot at the riprap at Potholes and got a 5.5 large mouth last year, but you are right, I lost a bunch of lead there. lol
One of my favorites methods to catch bass !!
Same! It’s so underrated
Right on!

Here ya go! ua-cam.com/video/jbCMGSmAGs4/v-deo.html
Straight braid
Could you fish a drop shot on submerged brush piles or laydowns
How to drop shot from bank?

That actually adds to the allure, because it looks like something that's injured and struggling, which triggers more bites.
Braid just to fill the reel then flouro, because flouro is so expensive? 🤔 I hope that was a mispeak
Great info video, but did anyone else see that at 7:14 ?
Gnat!
The moral of the story, don't overwork the lure. I'm guilty of that myself
