Haere Mai is the New Zealand Welcome song. This is sung by my friend and anesthesia colleague, David McMeeking in Whakatane.
“Haere mai, Haere mai, E ngā iwi e, Haere mae!” means “welcome, welcome, all the tribes welcome.”
