My daughter is 2.6 yrs ..she make 2 or 4 word sentence but make mistakes while making bigger sentence by unknown words. Is this normal? Iam worried.

Mere ek cousin ko speech delay tha I think he started talking around 4 years of age but he is very intelligent he is in 10 standard now and we are expecting good results from him.

My daughter is also 3 years old but havent spoken a word yet ..!! Doctors said that lockdown during is corona is a big reason behind it.. is it true?? Her eye contact is poor and doesnt point towards things… she goes to the place where the thing she want is kept ( like if she wants biscuit she will go to that place and I understand..) is this a cause of concern..!! Her eating habbit is also not good .. she eats only potato and bhujia.. and banana and bread butter.. she even doent drink milk .. eats her food by herself and can open mobile vedios .. she also skips adds that come in between vedios.. is her mental development proper?
She walked when she was 1 year old .. hearing is okay .. other than speaking and being social other activities are normal ..! My doc said her brain didint received oxygen. When she was born but will develop at her own pace of time..!! May be around 5 years of age… i am really confused.. should i send her for speech therapy??

@@AjayKumar-li1dc to be very true… eye contact got corrected with time..!! But one thing i used to do was .. i used to sing the song from cartoon she watched daily ..!! Whenever i sung that song she used to look at me..!! Now she is 4.9 and still non verbal…!! But pehele se bahut improvement hai..!! I also gave her homeopathy medicine and omega 3 gummies..!! My 2 doctors asked not send her to speech therapy center and teach her at home..!! So i sing songs for her at sleep time..!! doc said music do work..!! I am not sure what worked for her..!! But i tried all these things..!!

My 27 month old has some speech delay it seems. He doesn't say two word phrases but says one word meaningfully like if he sees cake,paani (water), brush, biscuit,mommy,daddy etc he would say the word. His eye contact,name response is good ,smiles, copies gestures and sounds. He follows point but doesn't point to things he wants or show anything interesting. He sort of raises his hand in the direction or sort of whole hand points if he wants something. He does point to pictures in books. He doesn't have any repetitive movements or toe walking. He eats everything. He sleeps well. Not afraid of noise. No obsession with anything. He says and recognises a-z, 1-10, animal sounds,colors,names and points to body parts. Plays with toys appropriately. used to involve in less pretend play but since few days he has shown some examples of pretend play like using a book with wheels as train, tissue box as bus. He knows what common objects like comb,brush,spoon are for. He doesn't understand complex or big sentences or commands like bring me the blanket, he understands only short commands like come here, sit,let's take a bath,lets brush teeth. He is not hyperactive. He sits in one place and is attentive. he loves books. He notices other kids. Interacts with them. I'm worried about his less speech and lack of pointing and understanding of sentences or following complex commands. thinking of consulting a doctor. But do you think the signs could be related to ASD? Sometimes he says come and pull us to where he wants us to go, or few times he said mommy come and pull me, says brush your teeth when he sees brush. He used to get like 3-4 hours of screen time daily since he was young. Now i have hired cook and maid to reduce his screen time and improve his speech. We speak 3 languages at home.
The lenth of your msg shows how serious and attentive you are towards your kid. Unfortunately noone response nor the dr. No worries brother. I think he is perfectly fine and sending him to play school wd help a lot. Was he preterm? If yes some delay you wd see on his progress. God bless him

@@ashmam8687 hello , yes I'm his mother. And was worried since his birth only(I worry about everything a lot). Anyway now he is 3.6 years old. We enrolled him to nursery few months back and to our complete shock, the school told us he was "hyperactive" in school and wanted us to take therapy for him. We consulted developmental pediatrician and she said he is showing just some mild symptoms of asd and his eye contact which we thought was good was actually not sustained eye contact according to doctor and we also realised the same. And then we consulted occupational therapist at a therapy center who said he has virtual Autism (showing symptoms because of excessive screen time)..we have done 2.5 months of occupational and behavioral and speech (currently only speech therapy is going on). And it's unbelievable how much he has shown improvement after making screen completely zero since may 2023, and sticking to one langauge, and simultaneously therapy was going on. He now follows all or most commands , eye contact has improved, and so much more. He didn't have any sensory issues(though before may 2023, he used to hate getting his haircut, brushing teeth etc). Now he doesnt care about those things and lets us brush his teeth , and got a haircut without crying or being upset even a tiny bit. His speech is improving day by day. The feedback he got from his ot n bt therapists is that he is now perfect! And he also had waiting and sitting tolerance issues (outside home) and behavioral therapy helped him in 2.5 months itself. So i suggest to go for therapies for any delay. And my child is a quick learner.
He now knows concept of counting, knows addition subtraction (knows how many items are left if we take or remove), recognises uppercase n lowercase letters and all numbers 0-100, shapes and he even knows and reads words including brand new words (since age 3 he started trying to read) which is also a sign of hyperlexia I have read but I'm just hoping it's not a symptom of asd but a positive thing. I'm using his ability to read to help his speech ! Hope he will do well. And hope my long answer may help any parents out there

Ma'am kya adults misarticulation cure kar sakte hai ya speech therapy kewal bachcho ke liye hota, hum aisa isliye puch rahe hai qki mane aapka ek video dekha tha jisme aapne kaha tha ki speech therapy adult ke liye bhi hoti hai. But youtube ya internet par jab bhi speech therapy, misarticulation ya stammering ke baare me search karte hai toh sab me kewal bachcho ki hi baat hoti hai adults ke baare mein koi baat nahi karta. aisa kyu?
