Hi Lia, I'm from the Uk and have watched all ur videos for the last year. You motivated me to crochet my own hair. Great content, keep doing what you do!!!
Yes, you are so right. Tension is the whole reason why I dont do braids or weaves anymore. I want to get back into protective styles but I am going to use your tips and the braidless crochet options
I had to leave my stylist. She took too long and my crotchet styles look like trash. I was very frustrated. I am currently learning to do my own crotchet hair. Thanks for the tips Lia!
Watching your videos about vacation hair.. I did my first ever crochet install for my cruise 3wks ago. Thank you so much... even though I can't wear it long because I have sensitive scalp..but I kept it in for 3wks... I absolutely love it..I did my 15yr old daughter hair as well.. thank you for being so kind and generous with sharing your experience
Love your videos! So informative. Yes girl, I don’t even try to use any synthetic hair without a good ACV rinse. My scalp AND skin definitely thank me for it. Can’t wait for the review on this hair. Slaaaaaaay sis!!❤️
I’m so glad I found your channel! I’ve always wanted to try crochet and you have definitely persuaded me! I’m going on a cruise in October so I’m gonna do it ❤️
Hey abashizle I am literally coming back from a cruise with my Afri-Naptural MANE Concept Aruba Soft Deep 12" colors 4 and T1B/30, YASSS! Thanks to Beautycanbraid braid pattern and my Diva Lia Lavon watching Lia Lavons videoSsss helped me tremendously. Sadly because she is so fly the T1B/30 & T1B/27 Waterfall is STILL out of stock, gurl. So I had to make a quick decision and it was a good one. Buy the Hawaiian Silky as well Lia Lavon was right it worked wonders.
I just did my first deep twist crochet and while I will say the hair is beautiful,it tears apart easily but I did the braids ENTIRELY TOO BIG I don't know what I was thinking smh....... But nonetheless it is a beautiful hair. I used the 3in a pack (one pack)prelooped and it is beautiful. Next time I will get two of those packs just for comfortability but I really love this I just need to learn how to shape cut the hair.... Thanks for all your tips. I'm going to DR in May so I had to give it a try since it was on your recommendations list for being wet.
I love how natural your hair style looks... my hair looks soooo BIG😭😭😭 I can’t take it... my kids have taken bets how long it will be until I take it out😂😂😂
Hey relaxed here but 7 months post right now. Love your channel. Not new to crochet but have been rockin more lately as I debate on whether not I want to go natural or not!
Love, love your vids. BUT.....Oh my! I’m so far behind!!! 47 yrs old, grown up in white as Australia , white straight haired mum, so I can’t even braid!!! No, I cannot braid. Loving your vids Lia. I want to start whilst I transition. I’ve also got very sparse hair. Don’t know if I can even get enough hair at the front to have braids. Keep up the info. 💕💕💕
This is so timely, am here braiding my hair to crochet it... thanks for the info... I work in a hospital so I put my hair up a lot so I leave out the hair around my perimeter so the straight back braiding pattern does not work for my lifestyle ... thanks for the maintenance tips and for reminding us that it’s a protective style.
Hi Lia. Love your channel. I want to try crochet again but I have salt and pepper hair. Still mostly black with streaks and strands of grey. Color 1B is too dark and looks unnatural on me. Any suggestions?
I’ve had my crochet braids done by other people several times. When they are done with it, I end up with a lot of hair at the neck and it’s not full at the front and crown like your styles. How do you achieve the look where it’s full at the top and crown and flows perfectly as it falls down your back especially when you use a lot of packs.
Rosa Gilmore you can split some of the hair at the top for extra fullness and leave a little more space between crochet pieces you install in the bottom/back. 😘
I'm wearing this Amazon and velvet wave right now. It's only been two days but I don't think I will like it. Waiting for your thoughts. It seems soft like it's going to tangle. I have the 18 inch but maybe I should cut it.. Whem will you post a review?
Could you try the Mane Concept Tiara Curl? I think it’s new, it’s a part of the pre stretched line so I’m thinking it’s a good buy and the curl looks beautiful, but I trust your opinion.
I spent 250 on 3 bundles and omg it was a waste!! It was horrible but I want to keep my hair up and look fly!! @ almost 40 I am working getting my hair healthy so I don’t always have to use heat or braids etc.. not to mention it’s cheap 👍🏽❤️ I’m trying something new lol wish my luck!
I was wondering can you do one for military women. I have to wear my hair in a bun or ponytail everyday and sometimes, I want a crochet style that looks good in a bun as well as down. I especially have wanted to try curl style.
I was trying to find a hairstyle today took me forever but I just went with fretress Niagara do you know the maintenance on that i normally don't get it if i don't see it on you but I really wanted something that was wavy but still fit under my cover (hat)
Girl who can't love you; you be going at it for the cause and get everything out there, inspiration for sure. I'm a pro at chochet now because of you and pink. I do have a question far rinising the hair, is this vinegar water?
What if I can’t cornrow my hair? I don’t live around any places nearby that braid. I can’t braid. I’ve been doing the rubber band thread method which is fine for box braids but not sure for a wavy crochet?
