First impression: 3F UL Gear 2p inner tipi tent for my Hexpeak V4a

- From Aliexpress I have bought a 2 persons 4 seasons inner tent, manufactured by 3F UL Gear. Originally made for their Cangyuan tipi, a Golite SL3 clone. My Luxe Outdoor Hexpeak V4a has roughly the same footprint but a lower height (140 cm instead of 160 cm). In this video I will test if it fits in the Hexpeak.
Conclusion: height wasn't a big issue, but the footprint is a little too large*. To deal with this, you can raise the pole a bit (148 cm) to make it fit. Not ideal if camping under rough conditions but will see if it works out. The inner itself is well made and roomy, much better made than the standard 1p inner of the Hexpeak.
Note Oct 2019:
The inner was only in limited editions available. The next batch is 5cm less wide (230cm vs 235 cm) so it might fit better for the Hexpeak v4a. For more info search Guangzhou Pedestrian UL Gear Store on Aliexpress.
After 4 weeks of usage in the field I still don't have any issues with it. The tent is a bit more exposed and setup takes a little bit more time, but all in all I'm still happy with it.

Very interesting. I'm currently looking for an inner to use my V4A in the colder months... It does look very spacious inside. Thank you for this.
I'm unconvinced. What I like about my Hexpeak V4A is the vestibule space it offers a single occupant. With two occupants, you'd want more vestibule space, not less! And getting your inner to fit looks a bit of a dog's breakfast, to be honest.
I've now moved on from a 3F UL single (rectangular) inner to the new Asta Xinxue 1-person inner. Fits great! Same space as the Luxe single inner, but 215g lighter. It must only be a matter of time until Luxe release better (i.e. lighter) inners, because the weight of their inner is the only downside of what is an excellent tent!
Nobody knows the V4A like you do @the Wizard of Oh , and your earlier videos were very helpful in getting me started with this tent.
Thanks for your comment David! Personally I don't like the space of the Luxe 1p inner, so I got this one. Although I agree it does not fit perfectly under the fly, I'm happy with the bigger space inside. For me the smaller vestibule is not a big deal, it was way too big anyway, and now I can keep all my luggage inside and don't have to worry about mice getting in my panniers ;-)
For two, the bigger F6 with this inner should fit better.
