  • The Caddo Indians were mound builders and lived 800 to 1,200 years ago at the site now called The Ka-Do-Ha Indian Village in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. The mounds are still there today, and the archaeological excavations are open for you to see. They have a top-quality, Native American museum you can tour as well. And the things to see and do doesn't stop there. You can search a plowed area and keep all of the arrowheads and quartz crystals that you find. There is additional acreage open to metal detecting. You can bring your own equipment or rent a metal detector at Ka-Do-Ha. And there is still more....you can wash buckets of material through screens they furnish at a running sluice at their gemstone mine. You will be amazed at how many great items you will find in each bucket. They also have the Caddoan Gardens where you may pick your own fruits and vegetables. When you plan your trip to Murfreesboro, allow a day to see and do all of the family fun things at The Ka-Do-Ha Indian Village.
