I've played most of them and the PS2 version is still the best because it has the unique weathers. It also still has all the original music.
The orange and purple hazes that were exclusive to the PS2 version should have came back. They were nice. Especially driving through the desert.
You can mod them all back in on PC.
And San Fierro always had a Rainbow 🌈 across the Bay every time it Rained oh and my controller had the Duel shock in the original ps2 of feeling the thunder and lightning ⚡️ as well.

I must be honest, I do like the original PS2 game for it's orange atmosphere. I still have my copy bought in 2004!!! I have just bought the PC version. The Rage and GTA 5 mods are probably my favourites. They really do look stunning!!! Miss the orange haze though, I think those mods would be perfect if they included it!!! 💯😀👌👍

I will never forget that!!! Just like I'll never forget walking in GameStop and seeing "orange Grove" CJ on the cover of game informer with the iconic GTA logo on it. I went apeshit in that store.

I just bought the PS3 version a few weeks ago and I was super excited to play the game, but I realized it's just the mobile version but with weird glitches

Playing the ps2 version was a different experience that can never be replicated. Played PS1 GTA 1 to PS2 san andreas back then was mind blowing. If you ever followed a game franchise from the beginning then you will understand how amazing it was to finally get to use a forklift in san andreas.
Lol yes I also played all the GTAs up to San Andreas and it was unlike anything I’d ever seen before. I remember dying to get off school so I could go home and play it when it first came out. But out of all the things SA has to offer, you were most excited about the forklift?! Lol why?

I got the first run of SA even before they fixed that hot coffee thing. I remember going outside after playing it and it was sunset on the game and the sun was setting irl so the outside had that same orange glow when I went outside it was a great coincidence lol.
Gta da on ps2 was my childhood I remember having a paper full of cheat codes I remember finding missions so hard back then. But the memories stick with me I had some good times and bad times with this game
I love the physics of the RAGE Engine in GTA IV. San Andreas looks amazing in that mod
I played the PC version first when I was 11 years old. It felt so amazing being able to explore a world like that and be free to do anything during those times. 😁

Looking back, there’s so much nostalgia in the the orange atmosphere. Definitely the only way to play it and always thought the later versions were missing something. Might have to buy a ps2 just for this haha

Got this on release for PS2. I remember counting down the days for months re-reading articles in magazines.
2:52 That’s a mistake San Andreas was released on iOS in December 2013 a week later on android then in 2014 on windows mobile and fire os. Based on mobile version x360 port was released in November 2014 followed by ps3 in December 2015. PS4 version is a ps2 classic so it’s original 2004 ps2 version not the mobile port.

The PS4 version of sa is the PS2 version btw ( with a lot of music cut out obviously ) . it's pretty nice of them to release it instead of the remaster . I remember that was the first time I ever actually finished the game .

The PS2, original Xbox and the original PC version with Silent Patch are the only good versions of the PS2 era GTAs. It's a shame that most of the re-releases of these games are inferiour and more buggy compared to their original releases, as it's one reason why some new players may not enjoy these games at all.

PS2 version is so unique, I love it. I currently don't have a PS2 so I have been playing the PC version for years, the thing is that it still feels so weird, but it is what it is. And I have the PS3 and Mobile too.

I first played it on ps2 with my cousins. But the first copy I owned and actually played the most was the Xbox original version which, if I remember right was just a port of the PC version.

I bought a Ps2 together with GTA San Andreas and finished it back when it came out. Now im playing GTA Vice City DE on Ps5 via PsExtra and honestely loving it.
RAGE mod got that warm OG yellow filter PS2 feel to it and the best physics hands down

Lol when I first played it back as a kid in 2004 I thought the hydra was a hover plane and couldn't do anything else until one day I accidently pushed the analog stick forward and made it turn into jet mode and my mind was blown.

What I don't understand is how fans can port 3, VC and SA to the RAGE engine and make it look beautiful but rockstar can't bother to do anything except allow shitty mobile developer to port the games instead.
All modders did is port map and add npc path line and driver patch line so they can walk around and drive around the city. Modders didn't port neither minigames and not Story Missions with cutscenes. OG is best version. Even defective edition is better than those mods for IV an V

I used to rush home just to play gta:sa on the PS2. Think back then as a child my favorite thing to do is just cause a massive highway collision on the way to the airport.
I've only played the Original PS2 version and the PS3 version. Was lucky enough to not run into any bugs on PS3. The GTA4 and 5 mods look crazy good but the CJ model for GTA 5 looks a little off. His upper body is a lot larger than his lower half
The only noticable bug I had on the PS3 version was that cutscenes sometimes would stop playing audio. Other than that, solid experience.

The Thing I like about the Five mod VS the ps2 original is V has nature and animals and The original has good colors if those two could be put together in GTA VI or another title being about the state of Las Ventura’s it would be amazing.

I played all of them minus the Mods and the PC, but the Remastered pissed me off cuz I wanted to do the cheat codes but only had the less useful ones and mostly the useless ones, I'm currently playing GTA Definitive Edition on my Switch and I honestly can say that I'm grateful there's finally a GTA Game on the Switch since I was waiting forever playing Boring GTA 5 Online all Year and I wanted to play a GTA Game on my Switch cuz the only Nintendo Games of GTA were GTA Advanced on the Gameboy Advance and GTA China Wars on the Nintendo DS and since I'm a fan of both Nintendo and Sony
the 3D trilogy deserves a Rage version for itself

The PS3 version is the same as the mobile version. They just ported it to the PS3 and Xbox 360. It's also the version that was on PS4 and Xbox one before they removed it for the Definitive edition.

Gta sa android version is like ps3 version remastered but its boring for me. In pc it is not boring because this is my first gta series game on pc and my favorite but my dream game is gta 5. But i have low end pc i can't play gta 5 but i can mod gta sa like gta 5. On pc and android.

Even if GTA DE was so hated, the GTA community missing one biggest detail since they was too much focus by spit their anger on the game: I can understand about that GTA DE was so glitch and disapointed and can be useless when you can play it on PC with better mods for changed graphism by made them better and that these games was already exist on previous console but where I want come it's the Nintendo Switch is the third Nintendo console who get a new GTA game (first GTA Advance on Gameboy, second Chinatown Wars on DS and now GTA 3, VC and SA on Switch) but its the first Nintendo console who get the 3D era of GTA games with GTA 3, VC and SA that the previous Nintendo console never get.
So yeah, I have buy DE on Switch even if I know these 3 games are glitch but I don't really care. I prefer play a GTA video game even if it's not perfect than play another borring recycled video game on Switch since 2017 like Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Splatoon where theses games stay the same without anything really new like changing gameplay or characters design or else and that we wait since some years like a mo**ons for a true Nintendo video game like a new Star Fox game, Kid Icarus game, F-Zero game and Metroid Prime 4 but Metroid Dread was so good and I was happy for it but it's not because Dread was so good that it can give permission to Nintendo to cross their arms and put their feet on table and do nothing for the others games that we wait since too much years and that, meanwhile, we get 2 Pokemon game per years in a Call of Duty style (I even renamed Pokemon as Call of Pokemon Duty, the killer of Call of Duty from Nintendo but in less good since weapons are missing and removed and made Pokemon games less good than original Call of Duty).
Hey bro. I was thinking the same thing, and I was planning to buy the trilogy for switch. Is it worth it? The games are still enjoyable despite the bugs? The thing is that it costs 60 €, it’s too much. Hope they’ll do a discount on it, but since it’s rockstar, i don’t think it’ll happen
@@PETERGREENDAY100 There is somes glitch into DE on Switch just like others console but the game still stay fun and you can even use the joycons for aim and shoot.
Even if I do my own UA-cam serie on GTA 3 DE first and whatever people say about the DE collection, I doesn't stop laught so hard everytimes I put the chaos into the town like by bring several Mafia person with their shotgun into the Diablo territory after Mafia don't like me anymore and that I come to the Mafia territory with a Tank that I got early during a Ray mission thanks to a old glitch who still work in DE (yeah somes glitch from original game still work in DE but sadly the Ghost Town behind Shoreside Mountain is removed in DE) for I see them shoot Diablos and, sometimes, Diablos who win and when the doctor coming in ambulance for bring back all of them at life again, it end up to a big street fight or I enjoy crush people in car for see how much time I can survive against cops who chase me and heard these old classic voice of NPC who get killed (I love do it in Stauton Island between Kenji Casino and the construction site)
So yeah, it cost arround 60, it's a hight price but it worth to buy it on Switch. To be honnest somes of my games that I got on PC on disc doesn't work anymore like the original GTA 3, VC and SA since I moved on a Window 10 and somes of them was a little glitch like GTA IV with a street who become invisible with no wall and no road but still physic for road and wall on it without falling but still weird to not see anything and the only things that I use on my PC and that I mainly play without problem is Left 4 Dead 2 for the fun and the mods who are very easy to install unlike the mods for GTA on PC who was so hard (I remember to have a very hard time to install the Simple Native Trainer since I never understand why every version never work on my own GTA EFLC and GTA IV until, by chance, one of them finally work but only for GTA EFLC, never on IV) so, yeah, I hope to see a GTA IV, TBOGT and TLAD DE too on Switch whaveter people say but we can't talk so badly about the Switch version since Nintendo Switch is the first Nintendo console to get the 3D era of GTA games unlike previous Nintendo console.
It's still shitty though.
@@headshotmaster138 Yeah with all these glitch who ruin the game a little but it's still enjoyable and it less shitty than all these Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Splatoon games bullshit with recycled gameplay that we eat on Switch since 2017 instead see true Nintendo Switch games like F-Zero, Kid Icarus or Star Fox.
They murdered the RE projects for all 3 classic games by sueing the group of modders that would've given us the ability to play all 3 games on whatever device we'd like (including the switch) with a bunch of fixes & more settings to make it objectively the best version of the game we'd ever gotten.
All to shovel their "Definitive Edition" out the door without any competition from pasionate people that did a much better job than they did for free.
To be honest, I think that gta sa definitive edition is very sufficient. It is true that there are some issues, but Rockstar is still downloading updates, and for the graphics it is good because if they increase it, the game will lose its identity

I first played gta Sa by pirating it on my moms imac back in 4th grade and had the time of my life I’d play this for hours I always wanted to try playing with the rage mod when I first seen it that mod makes the game look so well it blows the remastered version out the water till this day
Definitive Edition is definitely the best version. I don't give a fuck that GTA community hates it.

@@fredster594 It doesn't mean that your opinion is right neither. Definitive Edition is technically better, graphics are actually very good and some new features have been added. Is it bugged? It doesn't matter, despite the bugs it remains the best version possible of the game. Plus, bugs can be fixed with the patches
