    Good that you included the health part - after all, without Health, what is Wealth?

      Thanks. Djs need to set their priorities straight and secure their future. I see a lot of the older generation develop health problems like stroke and disability, because of all the running around and not charging enough.

    DJ Carlo, I have started playing in March and have studied a lot since. Haven`t seen anyone with the reality sense as you have, not trying to sell formulas of success and showing and teaching us what really matters. You are awesome and I`m a big fan! Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil!

    Becoming a DJ is like trying to get into a pro sushi kitchen. You have to prove yourself worthy, and when you are, it's for the rest of your life. It's a true brotherhood.

    My first gig was a family reunion, free of charge, at a local park. I had two gig inquiries from bystanders by the time I was packing up. Be polite, share your suggestions, and be open to ideas.

      Indeed! The very first gigs are fine for free, but never give 2 free samples, and always move up to impress those watching. Good job bud!

    Awesome vlog, DJ Carlo. I was fortunate enough to get paid on my 1st two gigs, and I invested them on somr DJ accessories that I needed such as a Controller bag for my controller and a laptop stand for my laptop. Another thing I want to add about charging clients for your DJing services is to charge whatever you think you are worth. This is an advise from DJ Barr from New Jersey.

    • @BigPoppa-t3z
      @BigPoppa-t3z 6 років тому

      DJ Carlo Atendid Heres a tip from an 80s 90 s DJ. If you can try to incorporate both but if you get a controller get one that's more simple but one that will grow with you. Using vynil ie something every dj should do but I know its 2018 not 1988 but ,Get a simple set up and as you get better get better equipment or add on

    • @djenphuze558

      Angelo Dano hey Angelo here is my advice. First you need to figure out what kind of of system you feel more comfortable, ttb, CDs, controller or midis. Hand out at DJ store and try the all see what feel better to you, guitar center is a good place to start. Second once you have decided what kind of system to use, the second part is the type of software if you are planning to use some kind of media. Most ppl start with vitual DJ because it is. The most easiest to use as u get better then u can move to a more professional software such as serato, traktor or even rekorbox. Most ppl use serato but it is all up to you. Last you need to figure out what kind of DJ you want to be or do. The reason why I say this, because it determines the type of genre you will be doing. I hope you have started collecting music that where most of your money will go into it, if you get a beginners set up eventually you will upgrade the system as well. Try to get into a DJ pool that will provide the genres you will be doing, it willake you're life that much easier. Good luck my friend!!! Remember practice practice makes you better!!!

    My question is, I wanna know how to introduce myself to clubs, bar and among other places. For example, I'll need to do a set, video set or just proof my skills on ddj, cdj.. I always pick a few tracks ( not too much ) when I'm rendering stuff trough rekordbox and then I know I'm 100% sure that I will play those tracks that night .. And the rest is just how the crowd is reacting to those .. For example .. My set is starting of with some alan walker track ( 90 bpm / track I wanted to play ) if a crowd is already ready to jump and go crazy then make them to .. For example u can mix a classic "go wild track" in like tsunami or animals .. And if there not ready to jump yet then don't make them to and just keep building the bpm slightly up with tracks so the case would be like : 1- Alan walker track ( 90 Bpm )
      2- tropical house track ( Around 100 bpm ) 3 -top 40 music ( between 100 - 130 mostly 4- check what your crowd wants 👍
      Hope this was helpfull though .. Cheers ✌🏻

    Just want to say the videos are helpful, and I just started to watch your video. I like how you talk about scratching and all but do you have any videos that talks about where you go to get samples and drop name? What do I need to download to start baby scratching, I see you talked about baby scratching but don’t really show how the website or the download from the laptop. Could you show me how
