That's most people, look at each demographic and the hobbies, people just fall into whatever it is they like to do rather than participate in life. It's so easy with entertainment to get addicted to it, on the other hand it's a good medium to participate with other people, but not a replacement for real life. But yeah I totally agree.
Lmao what kind of kids are you talking to? Almost every kid I've ever met has wanted to be an actor but thinks they don't have the resources or talent for it, or that it's just not feasible. But backyard movies? Every single one of them would have said yes if asked. Every single one.
Yes, in that respect it is easier to make a decent looking movie on your iPhone but it's way harder to break into the industry with an original script.
I am surprised that Steven Spielberg supports using mobile phones to make movies and putting them on utube. utube is not a cinema medium. ipads have much poorer focus than proper videos cameras
Its not about technical quality when learning to make movies - its about learning how to tell a coherent and interesting story. All you need is a lens and a device for capturing the image. The mobile phone is the perfect device for beginners with no money, no crew, and no equipment.
It doesn't matter what kind of camera you use, whether it is an IMAX or an Iphone. The most important thing is understanding the basics of photography - lighting and framing.
Despite my love for spielberg, his assertion is completely demagogic and false... The demand for becoming director today is incredibly high. The lack of materials before is certainly a fact, BUT, who wanted to become director ? Fewer people. When you wanted to make a movie, you made your movie - it was very hard but with motivation you could did it - and then you had a very rare object to show to festivals and producers. Nowadays... It's.... Lol.... Impossible. Since everyone can make a feature film, the probabilty to find a distributor is almost zero. Our modern era sucks... You have to use TikTok and other shit to show your universe in respecting the rules of the algorithms...
Easy for you to say Mr Spielberg, why don’t you make your film with cell phone and put it on UA-cam then?😅the problem is the standard are way more higher now
Don't become a child star alone with the producers or directors period parents need to be there. Kids from the 80s to 90s have had a bad history with Spielberg. Hollywood is crumbling
He is not talking about making it into Hollywood, he's talking about doing it for the self expression, like i do with my channel, for example. Not every youtube filmmaker is trying hard to make it big in the industry, most of us have our jobs and we pursue filmmaking as a spare time thing, just for the thrill of doing it. Like some people enjoy painting, but are not trying to be the next Picasso, same with a lot of people who enjoy playing instruments but aren't trying to make it big in the music industry, same happens with plenty of filmmakers.
Even scorsese's not up 2 scratch anymore, hes either treading new ground but too old to go the full distance or returns to the goodfellas mindset but amps up the sex and voilence

It was how I got this made:
www.imdb.com/title/tt6587498/
Does this work for an adult too?
Of course!!!! Let's not forget that one of the best horror movies in the world was made in a house with a few actors and security cameras. (Paranormal Activity, if you're not sure what im referring to)
Spielberg almost said "Your fucking cell phone" 💀
Really? It sounded like he was saying "your phone" and then said "your cell phone". I find it funny though, how he came close to saying "your telephone"
"you can make movies on your telephone"
I can’t afford a telephone
Inflation is a thing
Hi Alux, my name is Nithin from india and I wanna have a word or talk to MR. Steven Spielberg,
Its important.....
Can you help me in that??
No
Theres thousands of people who would love to talk to Steven Spielberg, what makes you think you're a priority?
just make movies 4Head. Seriously though, if you've seen Spielberg's recent movie, The Fabelmans, you are one step closer to who you want to be!
❤️🔥👍🏻
hi, how did you get in touch with spielberg? I would like to interview him, any tips on how to reach out?
No chance
@@MRRANDYPIDDLETON Just leave
@@vegardpedersen can’t handle honest answers. To interview Spielberg you need to be associated with something he cares about or at the very least a large channel or magazine with millions of subscribers. If you just some random smock, there is no chance. The guy is far too busy to meet everybody. This is the real world. Welcome.
@@MRRANDYPIDDLETON you should not judge and think that you know people before ever meeting them. You have no idea who I am, so it is wrong of you to just assume I am something. Do you get joy from being rude to random people? If you can't figure out a way to help when I ask a genuine question, why just respond negative with "no chance". Just because you are negative, please don't spread it to others. Thank you.
@@vegardpedersen well common sense tells me that if you had the ability or connections to meet somebody like Spielberg you wouldn’t be asking strangers on UA-cam. Sometimes a little tough love is what is needed. Bring you back to reality. You can thank me later.
Why is this in my recommended lol
camera is the smallest part of the make movie.
yes but the sad part is most kids you ask to act for you are also more interested staying indoors and playing games nowadays
Cool. So in between taking pictures of my dinner and the wart on my butt I can make a motion picture.
_What advice would you give the kids who wanna make movies?_
(Flashback *WHERE'S THE HORIZON?* )
- Oh, it's a good question...
I'm 16, will I be considered as a 'kid' ?
I'm 18, will I be considered a pathetic no life adult for watching this.
You're both kids pretty much
9 years ago you could post your work on UA-cam, hoping to be recognised and make a movie. Now you don't even watch movies because of UA-cam.
If you have to ask, you don't have it in you
He should've said milk of magnesia
For that you need friends to be the actors.
I don't have any friends
That’s a kid ? 0:51
Yes, in that respect it is easier to make a decent looking movie on your iPhone but it's way harder to break into the industry with an original script.
advice to *kids* who want to make movies.
It's a lot easier to get started in the arts but a lot harder to stand out, as the population is much larger and market much more saturated
@Hassan Fuad but most people make messes
It doesn't matter what kind of camera you use, whether it is an IMAX or an Iphone. The most important thing is understanding the basics of photography - lighting and framing.
Wasn't there a movie by Sean Baker or some guy who made whose whole deal was that it was shot on an iPhone ? Yeah you can do it
@Hassan Fuad You can't with a mobile.
On the other hand, this means there is a far higher quantity of competition in order to break out and become famous.
Not using his own money from the beginning 😂
*Dogme has entered the chat*
Despite my love for spielberg, his assertion is completely demagogic and false...
The demand for becoming director today is incredibly high. The lack of materials before is certainly a fact, BUT, who wanted to become director ? Fewer people. When you wanted to make a movie, you made your movie - it was very hard but with motivation you could did it - and then you had a very rare object to show to festivals and producers.
Nowadays... It's.... Lol.... Impossible. Since everyone can make a feature film, the probabilty to find a distributor is almost zero.
Our modern era sucks... You have to use TikTok and other shit to show your universe in respecting the rules of the algorithms...
transcript there
So you wanna be a picture maker…..
But what if I have no friends that want to make them with me
Easy for you to say Mr Spielberg, why don’t you make your film with cell phone and put it on UA-cam then?😅the problem is the standard are way more higher now
Don't become a child star alone with the producers or directors period parents need to be there. Kids from the 80s to 90s have had a bad history with Spielberg. Hollywood is crumbling
But there's far more competition.
Steven wants us to make a movie with a telephone😂 how would we make movie with telephone ring ring hahahhahagahahaaha
It's still a telephone bud. It's just a cellular telephone
Have Jewish parents and become a Freemason. :)
With the exception that only kids of a certain age can have a youtube account…
duh.
csu
Scorsese takes dumps on Spielberg and wipes it with Tarantino. Cmon ppl.
Even scorsese's not up 2 scratch anymore, hes either treading new ground but too old to go the full distance or returns to the goodfellas mindset but amps up the sex and voilence
